I did some more tests and it seems the tooltip for sun spots increased duration is working, as well as the actual duration. however, with elemental enchantment (attunements gain 15% reduced recharge) it should be possible to attune to fire and have enough duration to attune out of fire (on weaver with sword focus) and detonate the aura.
