[Solved] Tips on the use of the SAB Boomerang?

Edit: Just realized you could trade back the Whip at the Hillbilly's machine. Thank goodness! =)

I can't get it to work properly. Neither is it accurate in direction, but it also seems to be ineffective on Crocodiles, which is a huge issue in SAB, since you do need to stun them frequently in several zones to get to certain areas, which otherwise remain inaccessible.

Am I doing something wrong? Any helpful advice would be highly appreciated. :/
