  1. In a game that is free to play (just bear in mind that it used to be pre-paid content), overpricing cosmetic garbage I think does reflect poorly. I get only the impression that ANet just want to make money out of me, not that they're so passionate about their game that they appraise it too highly, as if they're innocently ignorant. There's so much unappealing cosmetic/utility crap on the store that I can't help but feel like if they poured that development time into more functional content—as we've all seen that they can pull off flawlessly—then it would give a lot of the prices some meaning. I don't want a will they/won't they situation when it comes to expansions, either—I want to see evidence of a hard roadmap that they'll follow through to the end. What they're doing right now is clinging to what's left of the game, banking heavily on the new expansion that until a good few months ago wasn't going to happen, when they were laying staff off. When they do finally stop releasing major updates, the BLTC will still remain, perhaps with the odd few additions, waiting to sap more money out of those who want to keep the game running. And if the prices don't remain the same when that happens, then they'll be even more ridiculous. If you want to see some evidence of this, then look at the predecessor game. Take from this what you will, though. I think the message is there though and is very clear.
  2. New raptor skin is out and they're charging £17 for it—albeit a bit cheaper than the best skins usually are (2k gems is, what, £20-25?) Most people won't pay for this kind of thing with their time or money. They're catering to the few lucky idiots who have a skewed sense of the value of their money, or the people who need genuine mental help for the amount of time they'll dedicate to getting 'skins'. Like... You what? x'D Go and buy another game, get more bang for your buck. Way more bang for your buck. The discrepancies in pricing throughout this game are insane. Play the content you've paid for and move on, the BLTC is a major red flag and sign of GW2's state and end.
  3. The fact that this is still an issue is more irritating than the actual issue. As someone else said... Eight years is a long time. Is the core game just off the table for good now?
  4. My gliding mastery is 4/6 and currently at maximum experience capacity for its tier. This quest is stuck here: Because I haven't completed Heart of Thorns on this character, I am unable to skip this stage and so I can't continue through the rest of the campaign on this character. This is an issue from five years ago, from what I can tell.
  5. I've seen one archived post about this same issue from 2016. This isn't as much a bug as it is an oversight, I'd say. Due to the way Revenant works, all utility slot skills have an energy cost in addition to any applicable recharge timers. When you are forced to wield Caladbolg during the personal story (Sylvari - Order of Whispers) quest 'A Tangle of Weeds', as a revenant, you lose access to your legend swapping skills and energy management. In addition to this, your energy bar doesn't replenish over time, even when you have no energy skills in use. The quest is still possible, but it is considerably harder when the player's heal skill has, effectively, a hard limit on how many times it can be used during the instance. On top of this, any attributes that are reliant on energy management or legend swapping are moot, as a revenant in this particular quest obviously can't swap legends or handle their energy. The archived post is here and it actually shows empty utility skills, indicating that something might have been done over the years to address the issue, somewhat. Regardless, I think that as it is, it still puts Revenants at an unfair disadvantage, of the likes that less familiar players probably haven't experienced up to this point. I think Revenants should retain access to at least legend swapping, as both that (especially that*) and energy management are integral to the class, regardless of specification, and they seem notably more important to it than, say, an engineer's toolbelt skills are to an engineer. *Swapping legends grants a new, 50%-full energy bar, hence why energy management is less important than being able to swap legends.
