[Looking for advice between a couple builds for a handicapped player]

Pretty much every profession has a low intensity build out there that can put out decent dmg or healing with very little keyboard input. 

@MaselMMO on youtube has a number of low intensity build videos that are updated to the most recent patch. 

With regard to necro specifically, reaper and scourge are so strong right now that you can essentially facetank and one key most content in open world and the easier strikes/dungeons.

Except that he doesn't. Other than the comments about "boon ball", everything he's mentioning is related to roaming which is (sorry it's true) a minor part of WvW.

If you like fights and can play NA hours, then JQ is probably better. I am on JQ and our NA coverage is usually much less than the servers we play against. OCX and EU times JQ does well and then once 5pm EST rolls around we take a doublefisting for a few hours 😛 . It's almost non-stop fighting and jumping from Bay to Hills and back to Bay and then to Garri until 10PM EST lol.

I tried it in WvW. I got blown up quite quickly with it on :). I will say it's very inconsistent. On firebrand, it worked with healing mantra and staff 2 and 4 (I think), but I am not sure. There is supposed to be a visual queue of a tether that attaches to the people you are protecting, but I think that the graphic gets culled sometimes based on your video settings.

[What makes celestial armor so good?]

Hybrid stats are great in competitive modes, particularly in WvW and great in open world "solo" mode. It's mediocre for most builds in instanced PVE.

In WvW, celestial has a good combination of...everything. Defense, offense, boon duration, etc. That makes it hard to kill. In instanced PVE, you're better off with more defined stats for each role. More DPS stats to kill faster, more heal/concentration stats to boon and keep people alive better.
