  1. I did not mind the strike to much but not getting credit for doing it the first or second time and getting told have to just keep doing it till I get credit is a pain in the kitten.
  2. First have to say I've been enjoying most of my time in EoD. The story and roaming around. The artwork is great though am sad about the no color blind options as have heard that has caused some players some issues. I personally find the art fantastic. I main Mechanist. Have gone through most of the story now. There is a point in the story that seems to skip some scenes towards the end it seems to me. Fishing has been fun. Though I am not sure why you decided it was a good idea to make both lure and bait charged items. Bait I understand. The Jade bot a fun little companion though useless with out a core means that if I chose to play on alts I have to get a core for each alt or at the very least go through the story up to a point to get one. Still a fun little add on even if hard to keep charged up. Even the map meta's have been fun to a point.... that point being the bosses. I don't know what Anet was thinking this time around on the bosses. Well maybe I do. They wanted more Raid like bosses. More Raid like Mechanics and forgot that most of it's player base are casuals. Trying to appeal to the Raid people who want harder more challenging content. I get that. But they do have raids and strike Missions. World bosses and meta's was something for everybody to do. Not something that should be a walk in the park but not something that you need a top tier team with top gear. Wasting 2-6 hours depending how many attempts me and my friends are willing to make on a meta only to fail. Not a satisfying feeling. Turtle. I've not gotten to test it out as of yet besides in beta it looked cool then. but my thoughts is that it should not have been locked behind raid like content. Raid like content meaning currently Dragons End meta and I hear there is a Strike Mission it is locked behind. Just my thoughts on it. Don't hate cause i'm casual.
  3. While I thank ANET for finally looking more into function gyro and think this is a step in the right direction, this update missed it's mark. It sacrifices the 5th tool belt skill for only a lightning field that I can get elsewhere in pve. If i want ground target rez I just need to use a potion. I don't normally need to stomp kill much in pve. And lets face it I beleave it only rezs downed players not dead players. If I can't ground target fast enough they are already up or dead anyways. That ontop of the fact the cool down increases with each gyro that appears makes it rather poor still. Suggestion would be to make one gyro appear that will use the tool belt effect that was slotted that is now lost. Or cause the lightning field to pulse outwards further doing a damaging/healing effect while pulsing detection. Perhaps make the effect based on slotted skill. As it stands you just took away our slotted skill with out giving much of anything. Hardly a mechanic or a elite tool belt skill.
  4. OH and also please let the skyscale eat all types of magic not just Volatile.
  5. So finally finished the collections and mastery grind. Which was not to bad to be honest worked through it at a decent pace. i have no real complaints about that aspect. The mount itself is well somewhat of a disappointment for the work put into it. 1st all the eggs gathered gives the impression that perhaps you'd be able to make your skyscale unique to you. At least have two color channels if not a choice of a few skins. One dye channel and not even skins that you've unlocked out of packs such as branded pack. That is a small disappointment but am sure more skins will come later. After that the movement of the mount. Well I like to be able to hover, but I seem to drop slowly even while hovering. Then if I move forward I can't maintain my height it keeps dropping. I am glad our Helicopters do not operate like that there would be even more deaths. The mount is slower then the griffon it could at least maintain flight longer. Wall clinging we have to use our stamina to replace our flight gage then we jump off and the gage instantly and quickly starts to go away even if we are just hovering. After gage is gone even while hovering we start to fall. At least that's been my experience. Maybe I'm doing something wrong there but if it is intended to be this way it is even worst of a disappointment. Honestly I'd have to say that the SkyScale is a disappointment in the way that it responds at this time. Ways to make it better. Stop the height drop unless we are out of stamina, don't let us climb any higher if out of flight gage. If we are out of stamina then sure make us go to the ground. But at least let us keep our height until then. Don't start the depleting of flight gage after jumping off a cliff (unless we used up all stamina). Those are my thoughts. If you have had a different experience I would love to hear it. If there are tips and tricks that may work to make skyscale better please share.
  6. So this post will be on topic please bare with me as I go through my thoughts on the topic. Some of this will be addressed to the current event but will lead into ideas on new events as well. The reward system is a little on the messed up side of things. RNG being as it and the items being offered up in the box itself. Most people got excited about the chance at the infusions. I know that was one thing that caught my attention. But with RNG you have a chance to get mainly trash in my opinion. And if you happen to get lucky for the super rare it will mostly be one you didn't want or already have stored away. Yes you could sell it but the random stuff is a big problem at times. Now on to ways to improve as well as ideas for new bonus events. I like the idea of a boss week it sounds fun. I don't play much in wvw or pvp so mostly i'll say what I think for PVE. A bounty hunter week. Not unlike the bounty board but more towards each day a random boss event is pulled out and set as a bounty. This could be a bounty board boss or a timer world boss or maybe a boss from the new maps. You may even have a dungeon or fractal boss tossed into it. Double reward week for a certain map or random map per day. You could have a gathering week this would give a daily event where you log/gather/mine a high number of nodes giving a percentage like an achievement. Once completed it gives a reward could be something per day or a large number for the whole week. Class of the day/week play through events as the selected class. (would be cool to do this as would give people a chance to experience different classes or specializations. As for the rewards I like the idea of being able to choose my reward or to know that I am getting a solid reward from the get go. You can have a token currency and a bonus week shop that allows you to spend those tokens to buy certain other things that are being awarded or keep for the next event. This would allow the first boss you killed to give the token while also giving a bonus box of RNG rewards such as crafting materials. You can have an achievement that gives a specific reward for completion of said event. You have done this with holiday events. The main thing is to make the rewards worth playing for and also keep the expected numbers within a reasonable level. Rewards I personally would like to see in these events. Old outfits you can't get anymore. Maybe a new outfit made for the event. Cosmetic infusions. Legendary materials possibly. unbreakable gathering tools. Black lion keys. armor weapon skins / black lion scraps/tickets. I am sure others have posted on their idea of good rewards So i'll just leave it at that. I also think reworking the Mastery rewards is something that should be done. You know after you have already unlock everything and your just getting exp. Unless you plan to release more things you can do with spirit shards.
