Having this issue in LW4. Hearts listing as complete when they are not, as well as not appearing on the map until I am right on top of them. Does anyone know of a fix for this yet?

Lately, I've been experiencing this odd audio bug that I can't seem to google/find any information on. Essentially, there's this nonstop echo of a single sound that only disappears briefly when I change maps. Any other sounds, like swinging a weapon, etc, echo as well. I've tried reinstalling drivers, though I have not made an attempt to reinstall the game yet. I'm finding it difficult to articulate exactly what this sound is, but even when I mute sound, I can still hear it sometimes. I don't suppose anyone else has run into this and is familiar with some form of fix?

I've been away for a number of months due to college. I've just returned and I noticed that daily map completions are being cycled instead of each map getting their own. Is that a relatively new thing or has it been around for awhile now? Is there a good reason why, for example, I can no longer do Bloodstone Fen dailies -every- day? Is there a thread discussing this and the reasoning behind the change? I'm late to the party here, but I'm not exactly thrilled with it. Appreciate any insight people can give, thanks.

I just gave it a try and it's still asking me to verify my account through SMS. I guess I will have to wait for support. So sometime next year.

I just changed phones, so I was able to double check that even just logging in to the forums, I was asked for my 2FA. (I don't use SMS; I use an app, in part because there are a variety of backup options not available using SMS.) So they are on the same thing? I have everything autofilled right now and for whatever reason I am maintaining access to the forums, but am unable to login at the launcher. I wonder if it's possible for me to access my account through the forums account to remove the SMS or update my phone number?

My forum account apparently has different login info because the same password isn't being used for my account. I think it's because when I started playing the game again, it had been so long before that I had to reset my password at the time too, except I didn't have SMS setup so it was easy to do so. Now, I'm kind of screwed until I hear back from support. As SOON as they finally respond to me and help me gain access to my account again, I swear I'm shutting that damn SMS crap off and never using it ever again. I'll take less account security over this roller coaster ride and several day lockout of my own account over an authentication program that makes things 100 times worse and a support team that takes DAYS to respond to you.

Is there currently some sort of asinine wait time on hearing back from support on regaining access to your account? A few days ago, I was having major issues with completing the final story mission in the human warrior storyline. It kept consistently kicking me from the game and, to date, I have not been able to complete it. I went ahead and went through troubleshooting it, all the way to the point of using a VPN (as someone else suggested). But when I re-logged in, for some reason, the launcher erased my password and didn't save it, despite having the box check marked to do so. I've been back into playing the game for a couple months now and never had any issue with it until just recently. The problem is that, I forgot my password. However, equally frustrating, is that I setup the SMS authentication thing. So, when I tried to recover my account, rather than send a link to my email, it sent it as an instant message to my phone. Here's the issue: About a month ago, I changed numbers and totally forgot about this 2-factor authentication thing so I never thought to update the new number. Which is my current conundrum. How do I go about regaining access to my account? This SMS thing has been nothing but a pain in my ass so far and I have submitted a ticket for assistance, but as of yet I've heard nothing back and am quickly growing concerned that I ever will at all...

I appreciate ya'lls insight so far, it's helped me better understand what's going on. I would have left it there, but so far I'm having a major issue. I'm a human warrior and I've been attempting to complete the mission: Victory or Death - Kill the Elder Dragon Zhaitan. (Locate Caithe within the ruined city of Arah.) So far, since yesterday, every single time I've attempted to run this mission, whether with a group or solo, I have been disconnected from one of two points. Point A - After you turn in the power cores at the camp, generally right before the cut scenes or right after them, I am disconnected after a moment of freeze where I can't use any of my abilities.Point B - On the air ship, as you hold the deck and use the ship guns to defeat the dragons, once you've finished it and your ship crashes into the bigger one, I am disconnected at that point. Prior to this mission, I've been disconnected from an instance maybe once every 3 or 4 missions. I've been doing a lot of reading up on it and apparently there are countless others with similar issues. I've seen some recommendations for lowering your chances of this occurring, but so far nothing has worked. This is literally the only game I have ever played in the 20 years I've been online gaming where I've had an issue like this and currently, I am experiencing NO connectivity problems to any other game, nor have I noticed any internet spikes or packet loss. For all intent and purpose, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with my internet to the best of my ability to observe, unless I'm playing Guild Wars 2. I'd love to at least be able to finish this mission, considering I've done it over a dozen times since yesterday and, without fail, every single time I've been disconnected during one of those two points listed above. I honestly don't know what to do at this point. The only thing I haven't tried is using a VPN or change my streaming options and as far as the latter goes, well, there are several options to choose from, I have no idea which one is ideal. It's on the default at the moment. And for VPNs, to the best of my understanding, they aren't free. So the idea of paying even more money than I already do for very, very expensive (and fast) internet just to redirect traffic is not really on the table at this point. I'm open to other suggestions.

Is there a good reason why, when you get disconnected during an instance, you are unable to rejoin your party?Is there a good reason why, during cutscenes, you get disconnected randomly in an instance and are forced to do the entire thing all over again?Is there a reason why the only way to exit an instance is to complete it, or log out and back in, if there is no out-of-bounds to travel into? I've had the game since I pre-ordered it, but because of college, I've been slammed for the last number of years. Now that I've picked it back up, I've noticed some really glaring problems, like the questions above. Is there an answer to that?
