Yes, it should be reduced and/or the events and map completion should be made to give out a lot more of the currencies. For me it's not really even about the time required (which is quite absurd tbh). It's the fact that grinding the hearts over and over and over again for the currencies is simply not fun. There is zero challenge and very little engagement. It's basically ArenaNet saying 'go run against a wall for a week'. The previous steps before the saddle were quite fun if you ask me.
