    What made this even more hilarious is that an ill timed bulwark gyro could mean that a guaranteed down attack could turn one down into one down and one dead since bulwark gyro would transfer lethal damage to the engineer and then, right about when the downstate invuln wears off, deliver a killing blow from dampener. I just found the potential antisynergy so delicious on a tanky spec.

     

    This reminds me that maybe we should just have bulwark gyro pulse barrier instead of this weird damage transfer. Usually, focused fire is a bad thing to have happening to you.

    I didn't think this was ever going to compete with Object in Motion, and now I am pretty sure of it. I guess scrapper could be a PvE bruiser? is that a thing?

     Given that super speed access is already heavily nerfed in pvp and especially wvw. Oof.

    I mean it is also the elite spec mechanic. Its the photon forge or mech or what have you. And i am all for it being killable. But instant death when hit by the slightest daze is maybe overdoing it.

    It's actually slightly worse than that.

     

    When they replaced scrapper elite toolbelt with this thing they also in addition made all gyros instantly explode when hit by cc.

    The pve crowd are complaining about the feel of the skill which isn't critical but isn't entirely negligible either. The people who play pvp or wvw are a tad bit annoyed that the only power weapon on core and the only* ranged power weapon across engineer and all it's elite specializations now deal less dps than a condition based auto attack that applies weakness in a support kit (even when equipped for power), and less damage than the skill did before they had to mess with it in the first place (and hipshot wasn't exactly known to be stellar).

     

    And no, this does not mean that tranquilizer dart is in need of a nerf.

     

    But yeah, I am a bit baffled that we have gotten 3 elite specs with melee bonk weapons, when the core engineer wasn't exactly known for it's long range sniping. And while I understand that everyone is very angry about the green plague in pve for whatever reason  (plenty to pick from, reasonable and unreasonable alike), I liked the idea of playing the engineer with firearms and not  smashy sticks every once in a while (core or scrapper rifle that is). 

     

    *Grenades and mortar are 1) unreliable when used as a ranged weapon 2) technically a utility skill, which further cements some build diversity concerns with regards to skills that aren't grenade kit.

  9. I also wonder what the total attack speed is now compared to the original hip shot. Someone mentioned it being slower than the tripple shot, however i do not know how that in it self relates to hip shot.

    2. Main selling point of Scrapper in WvW is not it's healing output, it's converting conditions to boons and superspeed and stealth (which has been nerfed to the ground). If we are talking about pure healing / cleanse output, Tempest and Druid are way better

    3. Well.... sustainability wise, there are better specs than Scapper, for example Celestial Spellbreaker which also offers insane boonstrip + CC

    4. For the spec itself? Maybe, for allies, doubt, Scourge is much better at this

    5. Group wide Stability... big doubt, the only Stability skill scrapper has is Defense Field. I don't think Scrapper has anything that can reflect stuff

     

    NHBT is a known troll, it does nothing but post these threads and necro threads related to nerfing engineers as a whole in between short periods of bancation. 

    Worth mentioning is that rapid regeneration doesn't even exist anymore and was removed in the summer of 2019. So there you have the caliber of trolling going on here.

    I don't think rifle auto nerf will fix the problem . 

    It does 3 hits instead of 1 with roughly the same overall DPS as before. It feels a lot stronger, but that's placebo.

    The main damage mostly comes from Aim Assisted Rocket and Static Discharge.

    They should get further nerf to fix the problem, maybe remove the CC on overcharged shot will be a good ideal.

     

    Now the trolling is getting good again, you have been slacking off lately.

    Let me guess, it shouldn't get any damage back either but keep it at a 0.01 coefficient right (overcharged shot)?

    Or rather, knowing it is you, why not make it kill the engineer and revive an elementalist (you) every time it is used!

  15. You can, when they together sum up to about the entirety of engineer. You revive any post complaining about any aspect be it skill or spec, and that is in addition to the threads you start yourself.

    At that point the thru line is "I do not like that the engineer class exists in this game, and removing it will "Make my pve Ele build Great Again"", and so all of your posts fit that context.

    They are speculating, and rather strangely so.

     

    What was stated during the stream was that the animation looks silly and fires way too fast. They thus removed one of the attacks in the channel to reduce the number of shots per second. As a compensation they buffed the coefficients in pve to keep the dps about the same. However in competitive modes they decided that mechanists while not too impactfull had too much output passively and so they removed one bullet without increasing any coefficients.
