  1. There's no decent DPS or boon DPS build for it. And don't even get me started on Heal Tempest; it's playing second fiddle to Heal Scrapper or Heal Mechanist. It's like Tempest is at the bottom of the priority list. Let's talk about those needed buffs. Overload Air used to be something, but now it's a shadow of its former self. Lightning Flash? It's got a 35-second cooldown, not even a stun break, and a measly 900 range. Seriously, is this 2023 or 2012? The traits aren't playing nice either. Alacrity traits are in a tussle with the healing ones. And what's the deal with turning Water Trident into a total dud of a skill? It's like Anet just squashed the one way Warhorn Tempest could do some ranged healing. I mean, they had three whole months to cook up this balance patch, and this is what they served? Scrapper gets buffs, and it's already outshining Firebrand in most encounters. But Tempest, poor Tempest, is left hanging. It's like Anet's playing hide-and-seek with it. It's got me wondering, how do we even talk to Anet when they're not even acknowledging Tempest's existence? The real broken thing is the 111 bomb Engineer, top DPS on auto, easy as heck.
  2. Weaver is a big no no! They're asking for some healing power and vitality because, let's face it, those base barriers are paper-thin. But wait, they also want power and condition for vitality? It's like a mixed bag of tricks. The barriers, they're a total joke. Those minor traits hardly give you any barrier, and landing those dual attacks is like threading a needle. Seriously, it's not a walk in the park (especially when you look at Holosmith's barrier). Plus, we're missing all those fancy barrier Mechanics that the Scrappers have. What's the deal with that, you ask? Well, I'm as lost as you are.
  3. It sounds like you're facing a significant challenge with Elementalist survivability despite mastering top DPS rotations. The issue of dying in two to three hits from bosses, even with diligent dodging, is a clear indication of a balancing problem. It's disheartening to see that even with a good healer/buffer, the Elementalist struggles to maintain survivability, making it feel as thin as smoking paper. Comparatively, other classes offer exceptional survivability along with easily achievable high DPS output and simpler rotations. This points to an inherent imbalance that needs attention. Your attempt to switch to more defensive builds is understandable, but the noticeable decrease in DPS highlights the dilemma Ele players face – a difficult choice between survival and damage output. It's evident that Elementalist needs adjustments in terms of balancing to bring it in line with other professions. A profession that's designed for frenetic and constant skill casting should not be hindered by such a significant survival struggle. Here's hoping that ArenaNet addresses this issue and provides the necessary buffs or adjustments to make Elementalist a more viable and enjoyable choice for players like yourself.
  4. Absolutely agree! ArenaNet's balancing decisions can be puzzling, especially with this insistence on melee range. Simplifying the button combos for Weaver and Catalyst, improving the quality of life, would definitely make them more enjoyable and accessible. It's clear that there are issues, and addressing both the balance and quality of life could go a long way. Personally, I've struggled with Weaver and Catalyst myself. The learning curve is steep, and even after years of playing Elementalist, I still find myself at a mediocre to bad level with Tempest. It's not just you; there are genuine challenges that need attention.
  5. Honestly, I've put so much sweat and tears into my Elementalist, but it just feels like... why bother? Every other class outshines it effortlessly. If I had the choice, maybe I'd consider Holosmith, but I can't stand shields, the flashy Holosmith stance, and the lack of a fiery vibe. Thinking about trying Power Catalyst, but survivability issues hold me back. I'm stuck with a measly 14K HP as a full glass cannon, while others easily hit 17K with better staying power. Seriously, why does Elementalist struggle so much to catch up with other professions? A few tweaks could make a world of difference.
  6. Elementalist always been underprivileged groups in Guild Wars 2 class. Look at elementalist, we have the big 3 tradeoff: no hp / no armor / weapon swapping. Just to begin with we have gameplay dificulty, survivability, rotation maintance, team composition, utility and build variety. With eles, we have a big road to reach some of that in balance, and engineer got all of them. Engineer have good utilities skills, boon strip, useful and fast grounp stability and permanent grounp supperspeed. I mean we don't need to talk about Mechanists, Engineer just win at the starting line. I am convinced that Anet devs cannot name a single piece of Guild Wars 2 content where elementalist is currently the best at doing anything. I've been playing elementalist as my main and it really does feel like choosing elementalist is just playing Guild Wars 2 on hard mode for no benefit. It seems that Anet is determined to make Elementalist players give up on their class and play Engineer.
  7. Totally get where you're coming from! Ele definitely needs a boost. The damage nerf? Totally doesn't make sense. We're all in for the proposed buff, but let's not stop there. Ele should pack more punch and shine like it deserves.
  8. No, it's not just you. Catalyst elite spec rather than a bug. If that's the case, it's something that the developers might need to look into to ensure that the elite spec is working as intended and providing a balanced and enjoyable experience for players.
  9. Ele struggles to find its glory across different game modes. It seems like they're facing challenges that make it tough for players to fully enjoy the class. The hope is that the developers can address these concerns and give Ele the adjustments it needs to truly shine and be a rewarding choice for players in all aspects of the game. Fingers crossed for some well-deserved buffs!
  10. Elementalists are kinda struggling right now, you know? They're not shining as much as they could, especially in WvW. So, why not give them a little boost by adding two weapon skill options? It's like, Elementalists face some real challenges, and having more weapon skills could be the key to help them tackle those obstacles. The goal here is to make playing as an Elementalist more fun and competitive for everyone. It's not about making Elementalists too strong; it's more about making the class more balanced and giving players more cool choices to make during the game. So yeah, adding those extra weapon skills sounds like a solid idea according to the community.
  11. Absolutely, Elementalists in WvW currently face some challenges that could use improvement. Many players feel that giving Elementalists a bit of a boost could make the overall experience more enjoyable. People suggest making changes to enhance the Elementalist's survivability, tweaking certain traits or skills to make them more impactful, or introducing adjustments that would level the playing field when facing other classes. Elementalists should be shine and feel effective in WvW. So, buffing Elementalists might just be the key to achieving that balance.
  12. I don't like random thing either. Make it as a unblockable no number count well will be fine.
  13. OK! Druids have some nice clean but they are not juicy than you think. Let's talk about real number. The Druid have 4.5k~ 5k heal per sec and probably the best ground target clean. Scrapper heal 8k per sec and 80% druid clean capability , and all of it are not ground target which make it easier and more solid to reach the number. Conclusion: The Support Scrapper is still the go-to patcher-upper in the healing game. Sure, there's that one healer, the Druid, but it's like trying to juggle flaming torches—it's hardcore. Roll with a power engi, and healing ain't even a hiccup. The DPS engi? Absolute game-breaker. When a class is this bonkers, it's time for some serious rework action.
