It has little use to render more FPS than your monitor can display. The only advantage is a bit less input lag because the mouse handling is just a tad more direct with like 200fps compared to 60.

When I teleport to Elon RIverlands and stay afk near teleports with 300-400 FPS MSI Afterburner shows my gpu eats almost max wattage. What do you think about "Max Frame Rate" and "Vertical Sync - Fast" in nvidia option?

If your monitor supports adaptive sync (e.g. 48 - 60Hz) it can be a bit tricky with nVidia cards. You might have to enable a setting in your monitor's OSD first.

Since I never tried that combo in GW2 myself, I assume that it's usually best to disable vsync in the game settings and run uncapped, but force the framerate via the nVidia drivers. There should be an additional driver setting that let's you choose your desired framerate. If it doesn't work for your hardware without artifacts, you can always fall back to the static 60Hz method mentioned above.

I do not know if my monitor supports it, I found it has no freesync/gsync.

What I found in driver program settings is "Max Frame Rate". I tested at 120 cap and I had vertical tearing during camera move, but I do not see tearing at 160 FPS cap. Is it ok to use such option in this way?

  3. Hey I have some question about vsync.

I have 60 Hz monitor and in some old locations I have 250-450 FPS. In fight or with more people it drops to 70-160. In new locations I have 60-130. Inside zergs it drops to 28-60.

When I have 450 fps in old location without other players my gpu seems use all its power, so with 60 Hz monitor it is not efficient to use it with uncapped fps? Or I am wrong?

If I need to lock fps what is the right option:

    1. Enable vsync in nvidia driver
    2. Enable vsync in nvidia driver with capped at 60 fps option ingame setting
    3. vsync in driver + cap 60 + vsync option ingame

Without vsync I see tearings when capped at 60 fps ingame option.

  4. Hey.I found I like to play in Legendary Dwarf Stance/Assassin. But I do not want to play with herald/short bow/staff/hammer. I like swords/mace/axes. Power or condi. Can someone help me to make build for this?Mostly for solo open world PvE/bounty champs/some challenges.

  5. Hi, can you give some advice about how to manage items. I know I can buy many space. but it's not the option for me.I'm using some alts like bank space, but after event farming, questing, wvwv I have full bag, and it's hard to manage it while I already have full deposit sections, so I can't deposit them.

    How do you manage it?

  6. https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/13242178FhmIst.jpgSo I got some upgrade with SSD and RAM, I understand my i5 3470 looks weak but not so weak.I think I'm near the solution but something is stopping me. I have good performance with on all maps except heavy ones like Lion's Arch, Drizzlewood coast, Dragonfall. It looks like microlags when I turn on camera.

So I did fresh intsalation Win10, it still here.I think vertical synchronization is a a key? I enabled Vsync in Nvidia Control Panel settings, but ingame I still see 100 fps on esome map, should I set "Frame Limiter"to 60? What is the right way to use Vsync - only ingame frame limiter+ option Vsync, or Nvidia setting + Frame Limiter. Also I disabled DPS Scaling but not see it changed something.

I thought it would come back today for week 2, but it's still not there. Does anyone know why it's gone or how I can get it?It still in sale, now price is 2550 gems. Maybe you have some bug with TP. Try to clean GW2 cache, and run it again, You can find cache “C:\Users{YourUserName}\AppData\Local\Temp” by default

  8. @Ashantara.8731 said:@"ruikarikun.9402", you can set both character model settings to "lowest" during such events to reduce the lag if your hardware is having trouble dealing with the heavier load during mass events.Yes, I tried it + none for reflections, turned off shadows, all player names/objects/npc, and still on map like Dragonfall/Drizzl when there is a boss fight or all are flying on skyscale I'm getting drops to 23 fps. At other time it works ok, like 27-30-42-60-80 fps. Just those drops during events make real hard frustration.

Hey, the problem I'm using gw2hook (reshade for making view a bit sharper and to off blur/bloom) and I found that d912pxy do not support gw2hook.I rly do not want to delete gw2hook, it seems there can be an option to use reshade but I'm not sure, idk what to do in this case :disappointed:

  10. I have like 120-60-40 FPS on all maps, all looking good. But when I join any map with meta, and I'm near big group - 30+ ppl I'm starting to have horrible lags, fps drops to 21-25-27 is it normal?I mean I tried many advices ffrom forums, and it's not work. Is there a way to make fps ~ 26 if I'm in group of 50 ppl?Settings 8FhmIst.jpg

Actually, I have all settings to lowest except for render sampling (have it on native). My best ping be rounding 200, but sometimes can get 300, 400 or worse. Anet has launched an update an hour ago aprox, and I don't know but I didn't experience lag. Most of the time I was playing in a sPvP arena, so obviously my FPS would be 50-60, but the little I was on normal map, everything was OK.Maybe is Anet issues, not my ping.300 and 400 is too much, 200 is so so. Looks like ping issue, make sure it's not wifi or your ISP.
