  1. Yeah, this can't be normal.  It feels like certain guilds/players are somehow generating lag when you go up against them.  Certainly, have no way of proving that, but I've been in big fights before with all 3 full zergs and have rarely experienced the lag like this. Unless in those cases all the lag was on the other zergs.  But this red team even with maybe 25-30 people and green not in the area seems to cause lag for the opposing team. Not sure how, but it just doesn't seem normal. You go to use your skills or just move, and nothing happens, then 3-5 seconds later, at best, if you haven't died, all that you tried to do goes into superspeed and typically does nothing to them. Definitely not fun if you are on the short end of that stick.

This sounds like OP is repping the same guild but did not actually set it as their WvW guild prior to matchmaking last thursday. Changing it now does nothing, and repping it has not impact on your assignment. In the WvW panel (B) there are two new tabs at the bottom which show all of your guilds and what teams they are assigned to. It will also tell you in the last tab which team you are assigned to for the duration of the beta.

Sorry, but no.  I set my wvw guild since the first wvw beta and never changed it.  Plus, if that were the case, that doesn't explain how one day I'm in Stonefall, the next day for maybe an hour I'm in Moogooloo, then the day after that I'm back in Stonefall. Had to be a weird bug.  If it happens next beta, I'll try to get some screenshots, and post to support.  Thanks for everyone's input.

  3. @Dawdler.8521I had set my guild way back when during the first beta, and never did change it.  So, I guess I can answer that by saying I didn't try setting it again before this beta. I've never changed the WvW guild, plus I thought if you don't have one selected, it just won't let you into WvW. @Chaba.5410 I selected another character, and just opened the WvW Mist War screen to select a map and it was immediately noticeable to me that it was showing the Moogooloo matchup because at the time all of the maps not only had queues, but they were pretty decent queues, like 20 to as much as 46 people in queue for each map. I wish I had taken a screenshot. This was right after the daily reset on Saturday.  I guess I'll chalk it up to being a Beta test, but if that becomes something permanent down the road, I can see it being frustrating for players to not be paired with their guildies in the same matchup.

  4. Not sure if anyone else had this happen, but a guildie and I are repping the same guild for the restructuring beta, but we're in different matchups.  When she and I both look at the restructuring tab in-game, our guild shows as being in Stonefall, which when I go into WvW I am part of, but when she goes, she's in Moogooloo.  What's even stranger, last night just after reset, I was working on crafting Conflux and needed to go into WvW to buy some items for it, and was on a different character.  That character showed as being in Moogooloo too.  But, I checked my characters again this morning, even on my crafting character, and they all show Stonefall.

Is this among the reasons there have been several beta tests for the restructuring?  Inconsistencies with alliance assignments?

I have no problems with it in home instance and guild hall (i did not test the hidden garden).

You don't have this problem in other maps?

I hope that you are aware that it is the glyph that is giving you those bonuses (like unbound magic). But glyphs can be removed from gathering tools (or replaced by another a glyph with another bonus).

OK, I figured it out. Not sure why GW2 Support couldn't have told me this, rather than telling me to submit a bug report, but I looked it up on Wiki and apparently the Black Lion Exchange Specialist will exchange the original sickle (and apparently other tools) with ones that actually do work. No idea why players would even have to go through that process. Thanks for replying!

Sounds like it has more to do with accounts owning EoD

I also have an black & infinite loading screen after swapping characters and sometimes also in the character selection.

Logging in for the first time after restarting the game works most of the time but I do not have graphical bugs as shown on your screenshot.

I fixed the issue by deleting gw2.dat and
    C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2\Local..dat.

    Try Local.dat first.

Seems that deleing the gw.dat and maybe the local.dat has worked for me.  A definite workaround, hopefully until the devs correct the bug overall. Takes a long time to download the gw.dat for it to be the ultimate solution for everyone. But, props to @Ouroboros.2094

  7. The cost of creating the first tier precursors via the collections has become so much higher than the cost of outright buying the same precursors from the trading post.  I feel players should be given more incentives to work on those collections than just a few measly achievement points, and a precursor worth a fraction of the cost for completing the collection.  When those collections first came out, the incentive to create your own precursors at least seemed reasonable.  Over time, the precursors have dropped significantly in price, but the materials really haven't because of all the resource contention for other craftable items.  I think to incentivize the players to work on those collections, they should be offered account bound rewards unique to that process, and retroactive for anyone who has already completed those collections.  Perhaps a title for each collection, and another title for completing all of the collections, maybe an account bound unique legendary weapon to show off.  As each of these would be account based, I don't see it being something that would hurt the economy, and players who completed the collections already would have some way to demonstrate the time and cost of their efforts.  Other reward suggestions welcome if anyone else agrees.  Edit: On 2nd thought, having a legendary weapon as an overall reward would mean having a legendary weapon for each weapon type.  That being said, perhaps instead of a legendary weapon as a reward for completing all of the collections, perhaps it can be a full set of unique weapon skins only obtainable by completing every collection.  Weapon skins that are in their own right nearly as cool as the legendary weapons themselves.  Alternatively, the reward could be a full set of legendary armor, or some legendary trinkets.  Anyway, just something to better incentivize/reward the players into doing those collections.

  8. Yep. Happened again today, Sept. 16th. Apparently it's a bug that has been there for a long time. If you were fortunate to have enough people to even have a reasonable chance at completely the meta, it makes the bug that much more annoying. For me, the guy got stuck on nothing...just floating in midair. I was the only one it seemed attempting that event.

  9. In between festivals and special weekend events, I think it would be great if the devs introduced map meta weeks where the focus is placed on a single map meta each week, with special rewards such as a common currency to be used for special weapon/armor skins, etc. Each week, the meta focus will rotate to another meta. They could either put a cap on the currency so that it wouldn't be possible to get all of the items in one week, or they could introduce new items/skins with each week. For instance, you could have Augry Rock one week followed by Maws of Torment the next week. I think this would help bring players back to some of the older metas, which will also help new players out who have never done them, and who sometimes come into pretty empty maps. This wouldn't have to be limited to just the major map metas, so you could have community bounty hunts, and other event chain hunts. Sure, many of the metas do get done, but I think with so many metas to do, players are getting spread thinly among them these days.

  10. I think in between major festivals and events, we should have meta weeks to help focus the player base back into the major map metas, with the lure of a new currency that can be used for unique skins, and whatnot. Some of the map metas are more popular than the rest, so players have a decent chance of getting into a successful one, but other metas are fairly dead. Case in point, I rarely see Serpent's Ire being done. Maybe I'm just missing it. With a meta rotation throughout the year, if someone misses a meta in week 1, later in the year they might be able to get it when it comes around again.
