  1. Why would you need to change the UI? We already rebind our keys based on the given UI anyway. This would be no different, just another QoL tool to add to the already dynamic (albeit limited) customizable options already. Take the camera. That functions...now, as you put it "slap on mouse centric keybinding" and boom you have the Tera style combat that I've heard a few players say they wished existed in GW2. I guess my question is; Why make it more difficult than it needs to be, when the dev team would only need to add a small update to the game, to make it function?
  2. Exactly that! I'm talking about the freedom to keybind anything to those keys like maybe skill 1 to lmb and skill 2 to rmb. Shift+lmb, etc. It wouldn't take much to unlock those keybind options at least not from the developer side....and it's not like people aren't allowed to use third party sources for the option already...so why not unlock the option and cut out the middle man? You can keep the tab targeting as well...that would actually make the combat system (for those who use it) similar to games like Wildstar It is more complex as you might think it is. LMB have a pre-set use as well RMB which is used to show option on item in Inventory among other. If you change key bind on RMB, then you can't use those option that way. There is different settings that is dedicated for how mouse work when activate Action Camera when you look through those options that must tick in General settings. Another part is how Targeting work. Well they've already laid the groundwork for multi-functional keybinds (rmb = targeting, toggle auto attack, interact in standard mode for example) They're not far away from what I'm asking about, coding-wise.

  4. There is a great start to the "immersive camera" system. I would honestly love to see more done with that. Maybe allowing the rebinding of mouse keys so players can set up an "Action" system and allow the choice between playstyles. It wouldn't necessarily give anyone an advantage, but it would definitely sweeten the pot to new players, knowing they can play however they feel most comfortable
  5. Well, I'm using a blackweb mouse (walmart gaming mouse, 2 side buttons, nothing special) but I like using my mouse for camera rotation and then mapping my left and right clicks to my abilities as I'm used to playing games like Tera, BDO, and ESO (all of which utilize the action system) I'm just now finding out that guild wars has an "action system" but I'm wondering why they wouldn't expand on it and allow the choice for players. from a gaming perspective I can name at least 5 people (just within my circle) that would immediately pick up GW2 if it offered this choice.
  6. Why aren't we allowed to rebind the mouse keys while "immersive camera" mode is active? It would definitely solidify the "immersive part" and would draw even more people to the game, given that people would have the choice to play with the classic "tab-target" or the "shooter" style combat systems. It wouldn't give any unfair advantage unless you consider comfort an advantage. Thoughts?
