  1. if these ideas i thought of where ever to become alive.. id buy them WITHOUT HESITATION - Old man turtle mount maybe has like a slight waddle to his walk and bobs up and down the stomp make the turtle go upside down - King frog turtle mount -visually the saddle the player sits in is a giant crown and as you stomp it could be a swamp animation wave like in the original battle. would be cool if you could incorporate a tongue animation any more ideas? feel free to add below! also (hope im in the right thread for this very sorry if not!)
  2. image of Super Adventure box logo I made: https://imgur.com/a/NRA9pTZ Technically, the original isn’t broken but for years I wanted to somewhat see it symmetrical so I made this ! Purposely close to the original as possible & not my best pixel work but at least I find this nicer to look at. maybe I’ll do some sab concept art in the future. here’s a link to my Twitter if you’d like to see more of my pixelart ! I made some gw2 related things like weapon skins in the style but you’ll have to dig 😄 https://twitter.com/tazzukii?s=21&t=_MNDtGIlu3fiTOKacJ37Wg
  3. Not a fan of fishing in games mainly because most people do afk and not talk and I don’t really fish in real life XD which is okay for those who love it.. just not my cuppa. When I think of fishing Mechanics games such as sea of thieves, black desert online I have fished for a while on those games however I’m never great at awkward quick press buttons when it makes me fall asleep waiting for them to catch it’s frustrating when I miss since sometimes it takes longer then 5mins to bite and I have little patients for it. and I get it.. it’s pretty hard inventing a realistic way of setting up a mini-game for the fishing feel. just need to ask what makes it stand out from other games such as the ones I mentioned? it would be cool if it was its own gw2 style of fishing instead of a copy and paste of what other games have already done. there’s also things other players stated such as what makes it important in the gw2 world? Would there be a fishing track to complete like PVP tracks or player fishing tournaments?
  4. this is exactly what bothers me tooo! And I'm glad you mentioned it. Maybe it just an issue of an out of date map which is where I think the flawed statement comes into play. not to say 'entirely flawed' which is mostly far from being since everything works functionally. Just for me not visually.
  5. I remember the old LA I agree it quite a jump in differences. It has its good sides like the bridge over to fractals and the jumping puzzles. But also it’s goofy sides like the octopus then a massive empty area right in front of it. It’s great to have fun things but that’s down to questions such as ‘does it match the lore of LA?’ Since I know there used to be a massive lion statue and I don’t see many lions represented in LA anymore. and after a huge attack I can’t imagine LA would want to make a giant octopus xD but I’m just theorising that. Normally after wars citys/towns would want to make themselves look more intimidating for future conflicts I would assume.
  6. Taking into account the moderated warning, don’t worry we will keep it civil! I looked back to search what you posted (bare in mind you’re not the only person replying so I might have missed it) and all you did was link a picture of arches and typed ‘ LOL ok ’. leading into a city. Multiple arches but I would still consider it a single peice directing into something massive from what I could see. Although I’m not familiar with the piece you specific posted but feel free to elaborate on it. Ps I did state in the post I’m not a great writer due to Dylexia so really I’m limited on what I can format with what I was handed as writing is already a struggle without autocorrect. Never stated I was right or wrong just that I wanted to start a topic about scale and people’s counter arguments that don’t agree with me are great and some people agree with me and that’s also great. it’s best not to go through the forums expecting everyone to be the best writer instead indulge in what they’re trying to say 😊 I’ll work on myself but alas that for the future.
  7. Apologies if I come across strong, however did you not see that I was questioning the art direction at the start of the post? The point of the post was to -start- critical thinking which for some reason flew over your head. My degree was no way near as easy as you paint it to be and I’m not posting a whole essay on a Guildwars forum for upset chaba. Now instead of questioning my format of the post how about you try add to it? because I honestly don’t have the time if you’re just going to complain and not add anything remotely relevant. CCing is back and forth about the subject, not the person behind posting the subject but you would know that if you actually finished your collage/uni 😊
  8. Sometimes when there’s added realism in a fantasy it makes the fantasy more epic and more appreciated. And like I stated in the thread I’m not talking about reducing size, just adding better comparison in sizes. Like maybe more smaller things to ground it a bit more! Some textures could be improved and if we choose to use gothic, Greek and such that we use it appropriately since it looks weird overused.
  9. Something I should have probably added! It is a majorly vast field and I never claimed to be an all see all know-it-all which is why i was interested in starting a topic about this in the first place. i claimed to be experienced in a way to introduce myself at somewhat knowledgeable in the field to entice other artists to comment their thoughts which creates discussion and a way for artist in other parts of arts to talk. which I've enjoyed reading and will probably comment gradually! I'm dyslexic so typing is a bit daunting so ill reply to them when i can. I cover mostly Digital art and interested in 3D design and in uni our main focus was to create things like this. things that make us question what is already in the world as we see and find a way to improve or look at new perspectives and a ton other things. it challenges the mind and i think its fun!
  10. Hey! Currently out for brithday things so I’ve been unable to reply to your messages but I’ve been enjoying reading them throughout my afternoon! So somethings I’ll mention first.. im from Europe (British) and trust me I absolutely love gothic architecture and giant Greek archways i see it all the time in real life such as churches. One thing I notice mostly is that large arches normally come limited and only when it really compliments the space. (Most Churches only have one large door for example) what my point was that arches normally lead to important cultural places and I just feel it’s overused. Arches was only a small example of what I was trying to explain. (also phone about to die I’ll be back soon! Bare with me 😉 haha) I’ll edit this more later
  11. Or anyone who plans to make their own games. Maybe when I have time I’ll edit more on why I’m making a topic.. tbh I just thought it’ll be fun to talk about! feel free to reply I’ll read your response later!
  12. Now the instant thought people would go into is ‘reducing size’ however I’m not asking to make the world smaller, just more practical looking as if it made sense while also in a fantasy setting. You raised a very important argument about camera angles but I believe there could be a solution if we seek one. for you, you don’t have to care about what you’re playing but for people like me who absolutely LOVE designs in things and appreciate where a games going in terms of design entirely and evolving.. I’m sure the art devs might be interested
  13. Indeed! I mentioned in my post Guildwars isn’t the only mmo 😛 I probably should have elaborated on that. But I’m throwing my concern out here so that it raises awareness that I just wish there was more love into the design.
