I love the longbow but I hear its bad for fractals and strikes. How much of a DPS loss is it to use compared a scepter?

Mesmer is my favorite class, but I dont play mine anymore. Other classes perform so much better in all other roles.

trying to get that part of the achievement but I have no idea how to complete it, I have already crafted begginer meals and deserts but I dont get the acheivement.

Has Anet acknowledged how unfair these classes are? Most classes have trade-offs and weaknesses, but these three have none of that.
Mesmer is my favorite class, but I just cant play mine right now because I do half the damage of those three classes while having none of their surviability.
Last balance patch did very little to change the meta in spvp, when can we hope the next rework to come up?

I ended up with the Power variant, I felt it was smoother and the rotation is easier. Condi variant felt too much like playing whackamole

The other day a necro or ranger pushed me into a wall and I got stuck inside, could not /gg to kill myself or anything and the game basically turned into a 4v5.Today, one of my teammates also got stuck inside a wall when pushed by a ranger, in another map, and he also could not do anything about it and we lost the 4v5.
So seeing how unlikely it will be for Anent to fix all the maps, could you devs simply allow us to kill ourselves with /gg so we can respawn and help our team? This is getting beyond frustrating to experience.

I know the fights well and I never die any of their attacks, but as a commander with 0 friends I always lead PUG strikes and accept anyone who joins with open arms and no elitism, but I often get groups that no matter how much I patiently explain the mechanics some groups keep wiping and wiping, leading to toxicity, frustration and disbanding.
Those two fights are disproportionately hard when compared to all the other strikes. And In support of our soon-to-be steam neighbors I propose some adecuate nerfs to ensure everyone is having fun, which is what games should be all about.
I am not saying Anet should turn them into cake-walks, but the difficulty should be between Bears and Cold-War... not cold-war x3 times harder.

I have a healbrand I use for wvw and strikes, just started venturing into fractals and I noticed healing isn't that required so I wish to help with the DPS.
I see there are two variants of quickbrand, condi and power. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?

Have you done the world boss rush event? lags happens in any map where there are too many players. Steam will make all starter zones a lag fest.Unless Anet does something about it, the lag will scare away many potential players.

The lag is bad now, imagine how its going to be once the game releases on Steam.
The influx of new players will be meaningless if they all quit within 2 days because the "fast action combat" comes bundled with a 4 second lag.
If servers cant be improved or upgraded, then its time to put a limit the maximum number of players per map. (40-50 max)

The point of this thread, my dear, is to give new players a more welcoming experience.
Many new and returning players have found the current system very cumbersome and confusing. Anet needs to change this.

Hard to believe some people defend this.
If the game wasn't story driven there would be no problem, but again, as I said... you are buying a movie and then you are told the middle act is sold separately.

New players wont have enough gold to cover all that by that time.

When I purchased the expansion it came with HoT. To my dismay I learned that my purchase didn't include any of the Living World stuff that happened between both expansions, I felt like I was scammed honestly.
Please add Season 2 and 3 before the Steam release. Players will obviously want to buy the expansion, but most of them will not realize that they will be buying a movie with the middle act cut off.
So please Anet, fix this, this living world thing its one of the worst telegraphed product puzzles in all MMORPG history.
I am okay if you are still required to buy Season 4 and 5. But season 3 needs to be baseline so players can play the entire HoT-PoF storyline uninterrupted.

According to their Facebook and twitter, the anniversary sales ends today, making it the shortest in years. Past years the sales went a week longer after the 31st.
Nothing I wanted went on sale (in my case: templates, instruments, equipment expansions). I saved enough money in anticipation for this but I guess Anet doesn't want my support.

So spoiler ahead.
We have 3 more evil dragons to kill, so I am asuming Jormag will die sometime this season... while the expansion deals with Primordius or Bubbles, and then either Primordius or Bubbles for Season 6 of Living World.
But thats just my assumtion, I may be overlooking something since I am not too savy on the lore or Arenanet's machinations.
