Are their other outfit that are excluded from the Black Lion Outfit Voucher?
So I bought the End of Dragons pack to get the Black Lion Outfit Voucher to hopefully finally receive the Starborn Outfit after taking a very long hiatus. After I got the voucher I saw the outfit wasn't in there. Not a problem, I thought I'd send a ticket regarding the issue, but the reply I got said that I can get it from a "Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock" instead? However, it's only Guaranteed for a random unlock, not an item I paid for hoping to obtain. To be honest I have no other need for this voucher, as that was the only outfit I was hoping to obtain, but I can definitely chalk that up to, "that's a me problem," but to those who ready to proclaim it's all my fault for not researching every last detail first... So I checked the GW2 Wiki to research this item a little more since the ticket reply did not have any information about why. Upon that research I saw it's been available for Black Lion Statuettes a few times (but not for a while, and not in 2022 -- so far, but hey it's only March). However, all the other Black Lion Outfits, that are available for purchase with the Black Lion Statuette are available in the voucher? So I don't understand why I could buy ... let's say the Pirate Captain's Outfit for 30 Statuettes or use my Black Lion Outfit Voucher to get the same thing... It's a BLTC voucher, shouldn't it include all of the outfits that have been made available by the BLTC, chest or not? At least that's what I expected, but I've since found out that is not so. Yes, I did I reach out to see if I could trade the voucher, but the response before that told me "that Customer Support does not have the ability to add this item to the pool of selectable outfits available..." and guess what, I know that's completely true and I don't fault CS at all for that response at all.
Personally, I was legitimately stumped at the time, because I did not know there was a difference between the BLTC outfits purchased with gems or outfits received randomly via keys (which yes, I do purchase as well). I see my only other option is an overly expensive and somewhat illusive Black Lion Exclusives Chest (currently there are 19 on the TP for 2.8K gold "I'm NOT rich, you know"), which only has one outfit available for it, and it just so happens to be the Starborn outfit? Which is why I asked the question, because I was unsure if there are other outfits that have been previously available and can be purchased for statuettes as well (but only when they come around in rotation -- which is fair). I think the only other item I can think of, is the Bunny Ears... but that was fixed after its 3 year hiatus and has been coming back to the store since 2016 and all subsequent years that followed.
And no, this isn't for fashion wars. I'm just wondering if there needs to be a name change to help differentiate "outfits" from... "special outfits" I sincerely thank everyone for their replies. I at least got more familiar with how much the wiki has grown over the years thanks to the player base and volunteers who keep it updated. I just wanna avoid this misunderstanding, and I think it's a simple name change, but that's just me 🙂
And yes, I'll just continue to wait for it to come out via statuettes!
