  1. The system has potential if they add some interesting relics. In its current state though the relics are just an additional condi cleanse, extra dmg or some condi. All of which are effects that are easily missed/ignored. So since they removed most unusual and interesting rune effects without adding relic alternatives, I'm having less fun. This could change though if they add interesting relics in the future.

  2. My tip is to buy a celestial aqua breather for winter berries and slap a legendary rune on it. That way your underwater stats don't deviate too far from your land based stats and you can have the 6 rune bonus on all your templates. People tend to forget that legendary armor isn't the only way you can switch runes around freely, having legendary runes does the same.

Yes, maybe. But mostly if the pet is stowed no mobs will be attracted, so you can peacefully fishing. And it is more quicker to kill mobs by yourself with pet.

If that was the case, the mobs would be attacking the pet, but they're always attacking the skiff first. Only when the pet starts engaging them, do they change targets. Also I've had numerous mobs attack my other characters' skiffs. I don't see any difference in the frequency of getting attacked between having a pet outside or not.

An yes, killing the mob myself would be quicker, but then I'd have to enter the skiff and anchor again, or try to get back on the skiff using the skimmer. I'm still waiting for a skiff skin with a ramp, so you can easily climb back in.

  4. Honestly? It's the reason I'm using my ranger for fishing. The pet is currenlty the only way to get rid of mobs attacking your skiff without jumping in the water.

Pets spawned by armor runes show the same behavior. So add a golemancer rune and you have two pets getting rid of pests beneath your skiff.

Sadly this only works while seated, so you have to wait for your pets to finish up before fishing.

Finally, I'd settle for ANet to make two changes.  First, post the odds where a prospect can easily see them, without depending on the consumer to  know that the wiki exists and how to find the likely odds there.

I wouldn't just want to see the chances, but also how much the item effectively (on average) costs.

I've done the math for the skiff skin:

Uncommon drops have a chance of 8.3% according to https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Black_Lion_Chest/Drop_rate

There are 20 possible uncommon drops, so the chance for this particular item is 0.415%

This means the skin drops on average every 1/0.00415=241 chests opened.

25 keys cost 2100 gems. This puts one key at 84 gems. 241 chests then cost 20244 gems.

The skiff skin is currently priced at 20244 gems or 253$.

Well since a lot of people (including me) are buying tons of stuff from Gemstore for FREE with gold, i dont see a problem in locking skins behind BL chest for wales to get profit, its something other companies do too. I mean you cant expect everything for free literally.

In other games you cannot get like 90% of the gemstuff with gold, and im not saying like grinding 14 hours a day... really fast tbh.

If you actually see Arenanet earnings last 3 years for example, you can see a LOT of their money comes from Gems not expansions. To a point that expansion are more focused on mantaining/getting players and adding features to the game, than to purely sustain the company.

First of all, you're NOT buying the stuff for free. You're buying it with someone else's cash. Someone paid real money for the gems you're spending. That's how the gold-gem exchange works.

Second, no one asks for everything to be free. No one even asked for this particular skin to be free.

You're arguing that a lot of ANet's revenue comes from the gemstore, but I don't see anyone arguing against the gemstore either. Who are you arguing against?

The only thing that's being criticized here is making items exclusive to loot boxes. Just because other scampanies use loot boxes does not make using them ok.

I heard that PvP has a bunch of bots. Why not Anet make some mobs which will dodge and cleanse? Maybe this way it’ll be easier for them to balance the game.

All the way back in 2012 PvE mobs would walk out of aoes. Then ANet scrapped this mechanic and made mobs pure hp bags. I believe the reason given was that it was too easy to manipulate mobs and prevent them from attacking players.

Still, as long as ANet doesn't make the dps golem dodge and cleanse, I doubt your suggested changes would have any impact on balance.

  8. Imo There should be a substantial fishing buff for fishing from the shore. The reason is that all fishing spots can be reached with a skiff *1 but not all fishing spots can be reached from the shore. This would also reward players for having the increased range mastery. As it currently stands, the increased range is utterly useless because you can park your skiff as close to the fishing node as you like.

*1 Except for a very few that are located in no-mount zones.

  9. When you delete a character, all items on that character are deleted with it.

You usually don't need to keep collectible items around. As soon as you obtain them, they are checked off in their respective collection. There are some exceptions where you still need the item to build another item. I don't know about the "dark harvester" and I wasn't able to find an item with that name on the wiki.

As for legendaries: Since the introduction of the legendary wardrobe, legendaries are no longer items you can delete. They are account unlocks that can be equipped on as many characters of yours that you like. Therefore they can't be (accidentally) deleted anymore.

Maybe it's time,  Turrets and Pets , when they kill something they emit an invisible buff to other Turets/Pets,  and when 100 npcs  have being killed they spawn a Ghost 15yard away. Ghosts cannot be killed, but each step they  do reduces its HP by 10%. So by the time they come near your character they will have 20%, and a normal non afk-person can kite him for 6 yards and watch him die or you might not seen him, while you normally move forward to the next objective?

Or you just kick people off the map into their character screens if they don't move or use a skill for a certain period of time.

  11. When riding the raptor taxi or the skiff, pressing 4 or 5 on my keyboard does not activate the skill. The skill can still be activated by clicking on it with the mouse.

Character skills and mount skills are not affected.

The 4 and 5 position is also the position for the Jade Bot up and down skills when flying the bot via a terminal. Both of which use completely different keybinds (v and space), however those keys don't activate the skills either. Still, Jade Bot controls could have something to do with this.

No they don't. These are part of the legendary trinket collections (Aurora & Vision), NOT part of the return-to achievements (for the legendary amulet).

Oh, my bad. Since I did both achievements simultaneously, I attributed these to the wrong achievement.

  13. Some of these require you to craft map specific backpacks. Especially the druid stone takes a long time to craft due to daily cooldowns. I recommend starting the crafting process early as you will complete many other achievements like harvesting or participating in events along the way.

Also for Ls3 and Ls4 look at your dailies. The maps are on a daily rotation with extra rewards and the daily map tends to be a bit more populated on that day.

Is there a way to know if I did S2 yet?  I forgot if i did years ago.  But i dont want to re-buy it with gems if I did.  Right now the option shows that it needs gems.

If it shows that you can buy it, it means you didn't do it. Every season is unlocked for free if you're playing while it's new.

That said, S2 doesn't include as many goodies as other seasons. Buying S2 will unlock only story content and achievements, the maps it takes place in are never locked.

As @"The Boz.2038" said, there is an achievement that gives you a precursor weapon and a  legendary amulet without having to craft it or farm materials. The achievement is split into many smaller achievements and requires you to unlock and play all living season content.

PS.: If you're planning to get the SkyScale mount as a medium-term goal (which I really recommend as it's the most versatile mount in the game), you should definitely look into the return-to achievements (the ones that give you the legendary amulet at the end). The reason is that each of the sub-achievements gives you a stack of map currency, which you otherwise would need to farm.

It matters to ppl who work for a living and who would like to take a few days off to enjoy with their friends but can’t schedule it until they give you them a date. They should be embarrassed for poor PR for their biggest product launch of the year and keeping their consumers in the dark for half a year.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of the reasons ANet hasn't announced a date yet. When HoT and PoF launched, the game was pretty much unplayable on day one because too many people were trying to create story instances and the servers were overloaded. Not announcing the release date in advance could prevent many people from trying to create instances the second the expansion launches simply because they're at work and didn't take the day off.

  16. 1. Actually I do exactly that. Have an alt parked at the vendor and buy 15 keys a day.

    2. The south meta doesn't just give more keys, it gives more loot in general. Ideally you want to boost your map participation to 100% or more before taking the first camp. Every time a camp is captured, all players get a chest based on their map participation. These chests contain high-value materials. Sadly this bonus doesn't apply to the north meta.

    3. Keep your eyes on the map. Once a camp is captured, you still have a few minutes to para-drop there and loot the chest. Usually the meta jumps back and forth between forest and coast. I usually salvage just a few scraps while I'm waiting for another event to start.

The champ run between the two metas is absolutely worth it. It really pays out to have a griffon for this though.

We run 294 units a second (Out of combat)

A unit (according to the wiki) is one inch.

So we run 16.7 miles per hour. (26,9 kmh)

With Swiftness, that 22,7 mph ( 36,5 kmh)

    For thoughness.

In All or nothing, we got send flying by kralk and crashed into a wall.

It took 4 seconds from the starting point to us crashing into the wall.

It takes roughly 110 seconds at crippled speed to get from that point back to the place we started.

My (bad) math says that should be roughly 400m (1300 feet).

So we crashed into a wall with roughly 360kmh / 224 mph.

And we stood up from it and started walking again with most likely broken rips.

Now thats what i call a beast.

Thanks for the calculation. Now that we know the commander's maximum mass and speed, we can calculate his maximum momentum.

    16 kt * 36.5 km/h = 1.622 * 10^8 kg*m/s = 1.622 * 10^8 Ns

This is roughly 1.5 to 2 times the approximate momentum of a jumbo jet at top cruising speed. The commander doesn't even have to fight. He just has to run into things.
