But when you tie rewards to completing it, it hurts the ability to acquire the top tier reward. Like the Lunatic Cape for example.

I am a little upset though, as with this year, you are offered a cape but you need the completion of the annual event (including the clocktower) to get it...which...I get it, insanity, I got the theme, but kinda deters me from continuing any of the others.

So one of the things I loved most about Guild Wars 1 were the Zaishen daily quests. I could go in, do some really good personal hunts or missions or quests and get some good loot. I know we have dailies but when you have 50 people doing them with you your not really experiencing the same effect. I also know that doing personal dailies may not be exactly possible. But if the orders were involved, wouldn't you feel your order would actually have more influence on your experience. Once the main quest is over, its bing bang boom never hear about anything youve ever chosen in the past ever again. Just trying to open up some of that good old fashion personalization? I know its a lot of work but just seeing if anyone had ideas?
