  1. Counted 29 in Kourna one day.  But who knows maybe everyone went to the bathroom or fixed supper at the same time.  Dislike afk farmers but if they are passive farming that appears to be within the boundaries of Anets policy.  I don't know,  I just know I wouldn't risk my account for a few gold per hour.

  2. all for banning bots and the other type of farming we aren't allowed to mention.   I don't care if the spot respawns once an hour.  I'm sure it helps some people.  But I'm completely against any type of farming that is illegal.  All we can do is report and hope it's taken care of.

  3. Been playing GW1/2  since 2005,  never once had an encounter in the game about the sex of my character.  Play both sexes also play different races.  No question about that either which would be equally as absurd.

  4. On step 5  Purified Mordrem Aether.  Did the jumping puzzle and did the challenge to get to the focusing crystal.  It won't do anything or update.  Did I miss something for those who finished this step?

Edit, never mind.  I'm stupid.  Just realized I have to pick it up from the start like Orr.

I honestly don't quite understand what exactly it is you enjoy about it. Not as in, "I can not understand how anyone could enjoy it". But as in, I'm getting mixed messages here and would like to understand that point of view!

I enjoy grouping up with the community meeting new people who also enjoy the meta.  Sometimes my words in typing don't come out like I think they should.  The small group that are regulars,  we've tried different tactics.  Nothing major really.  Like when to forget tail.  The Com will usually make the call depending on the overall dps.  I'm assuming that's it.  I just follow the calls.  I was a solo player for the longest time.  Rarely talked to anyone in game but a couple of people.  This meta has brought me out of that.  I guess that's what I enjoy about it.  The 20 people I run DE with are all new people to me and have told me similar stories how they were pretty much solo with little to no interaction with others.  Meeting the new people is also fun.  Every once in awhile we can get a toxic person but I've learned to just ignore that and hope they don't join us on the next run.  Sometimes they do and they are less toxic.  When I said I was one of the people mentioned. I meant one mentioned saying that I run with a small group of regulars. Appears some didn't get that's what I meant.

We have 3 people who will lead depending on the day of the week.  They will rotate commanders from time to time.  One thing I noticed.  The commanders are pretty good at predicting what the boss is going to do well before she does it. So they will call that out to make sure people are ready.   Do I think they need to nerf it more?  Absolutely not.

This is just my opinion but I feel those still complaining (not everyone)  Like to hop in the DE at the last min, take no time in prepping the map or themselves then wonder what went wrong.   At first I was like several people here.  First two weeks I had mostly fails.   Was very frustrated, hated the meta.  Once I leaned the mechanics and got with others who did the same thing.  It made it much easier to and more fun.   We are not a guild.  Just a small group on discord.

I guess I like that DE takes more group coordination as well.  Do I care if They nerf it more?  Not at all.  Do I think they need to.  Again, no.

  6. Last Tuesday I got the 4 to make the variant.   After reset that evening they were available to buy again.  I decided to just get 2,  the ones needing spirit shards and karma.  My question is,  Do I have to buy them all for it to reset all 4 or will vendor reset at some point?  Like maybe after reset tonight? It's showing I can buy the other 2  for notes and ambergris just not the 2 I bought last Tuesday.

  7. I'm one of those people mentioned a couple times in this thread  that runs this meta several times a week.  I'm in a group of 20 that run it regularly.  The other 30 we get are pugs.  We've succeeded the last  79 times consecutively.  No one in the group act or talks like an elitist.  People joke around and have fun as a community up to the boss fight. Then the commander makes the calls. I'm just slightly above average player. Our worse time was 2.5 min to spare and best time was 7.5 min to spare.  I think the meta is fine the way it is.   They've watered this event down enough already.  I enjoy the run not because of the difficulty and it really isn't as difficult as some complain.  Yes there was a time it was much harder.  But I enjoy the run simply for meeting new people and having fun as a community.

  8. @ OP,  I run with a group 4-5  times a week.  8:30 central time.  We are on our 48th run  with one fail. A bad run for our group is having less than 3 min left on timer when we get the win.   We had one tonight.  People were joking around and playing around on discord so ended up winning with 2.5 min left.  But at least people are having fun.   I need to say,  we have a group of 15-20  that usually shows up every run.  Of those that are regulars, yeah most run raid builds/gear.  The rest are people from LFG.  I strongly encourage people who refuse to come back after getting the turtle to give it another shot.  Before I found this group, I was like many.  I figured it was a,  get turtle and get out to never look back. IMO  Anet has significantly watered down the meta.  I think people would enjoy it now.  I know we sure do.  Like someone mentioned in an early post.  The time investment is the downside.  We arrived about 15 min before prep stage. Find a map that has low on both north and south.  We don't  rush the map from Arborstone.  As far as Anet's numbers.  I can't say anything about that except anyone whose been around long enough knows to take what they say with a grain of salt.

  9. I have a friend who commands the event 3-4 times a week. There is a group of 15-25 who run pretty regularly. He used to command the event more than once a day everyday but that was getting to be to much. It's not a guild. Just a group of us who really enjoy this meta. He commands the event, the rest of us are all from different guilds. So far the win ratio is 41 wins and 1 lose. He does not require any type of kill proof or running a specific build. He recommends to run whatever you do your best on and to have fun. He does require a person to use discord so they can hear the call outs. He highly recommends everyone have 10 contribution. The start time is 8:45PM CST so he can get everyone on the same map. The run starts about 15 min before prep stage. So this may be more time than some are willing to put in. If you feel this is for you please contact me ingame. We welcome everyone. It's about bringing the community together and having fun.  I've personally been in a lot of failed runs.  That's his win rate.  I've only ran the meta with him 20+ times and all have been wins, most with 2-4 min left on timer.  The commander is all about having fun as a community.  Have never heard him put anyone down. He is very chill and easy to get along with.  Just an all around great person leading such a large group of people.  I would post his ign but have read this is not allowed.

You can have a high rate of success with the right commander. All of my wins have been from commanders who split players off into subgroups of five rather than have everyone lumped under a single group.

This right here is most true.  I finished my 29th run today.  With 9 wins and 20 fails.  Every group I joined that had a commander who know how to organize into smaller groups were successful with the exception of twice that we failed.  With 1-2% left.  Things I noticed still being a problem,  when she drops the fancy orange design on the ground good grief  people need to know to dodge out and get ready to jump in2 seconds.  Still seeing tons of people who get down on that.  I consider myself an average player if I'm able to know and respond the majority of better players sure need to be doing that.   The other things I've noticed.  When she says,  watch out! she is spitting acid.  We know in a couple of seconds a breakbar is going to happen.  It has been my experience when a group is able to get her health to 80%  in the first one min of the fight.  Then we know we have the dps and all we have to do is roll with the mechanics of w/e she throws.

The majority of the fails I had were from everyone being lumped into one or 3 groups.  Another reason I've seen a few fails is when the commander calls to just dps down the head when we have 3% or so left and a tail pops, and the commander calls for everyone to just keep dpsing the head.  Taking out the tail is very important.  Just my 2 cents.
