I farmed that area awhile back. Put a toon there to check it out yesterday. Sure enough, It's been changed.

They are a huge problem on LW4 maps. I counted almost 40 or so in Kourna. That's one map one ip. When more than half the allowed map population on that map is bots/afkers and passive farmers its a huge problem. I farm the map daily for karmic retribution. I've not seen less than 30 of them on a slow day but up to 40 or so on a normal day and that's just the ones I see out in the open. 6 months ago there was less than 10 or so, it seems to increase every month since they know Anet wont do anything.

Sure hope and I think everyone is correct. Even saved up mats and farmed karma for the next set. Haven't seen any official statement yet. Keep checking That Shaman to see if they have posted anything new. Will be happy for one new set but super happy for 2 new sets.

@Schimmi.6872 You are correct. I deleted the post regarding that, If someone can show the youtubers are faking it I will delete those as well. Guess I'm to gullible. I can't understand why people would lie about a game.
All I can say is. I'm sorry for falling for clickbait and spreading it.

We have youtubers showing the same thing, even saying that which should not be named allowed them to buy every legendary in the game.. You're correct we have no idea the impact it has on game. I just know from my farming karma 6 months ago I rarely seen any problem on the lw4 maps, Now I see more of them than people actually playing the game. Is what it is though. I don't like it but know there isn't anything I can do about it.

If you made a lot of accounts lately, free or purchased this seems to be a problem. You will need to contact Anet and let them know.

There's squads doing the meta during the day and prime-time at night daily on NA server. Every single day. There were less during the holiday periods. If you're not searching LFG at least 45 mins before meta starts, chances of finding one is practically close to zero.. They all fill up very fast. Anyone doing meta will be on the meta maps, which will be full as well. So, if you're farming, you'll be on maps with the few other farmers.
Joining an unorganized squad that just pops up on the map, expect to fail more often than not. Search forum threads and you'll see many who had given plenty of advice on how to find squads and have virtually 100% success rate.
I've beem doing the meta daily on NA servers over the holidays and have always managed to find a squad to join.
This, if I want to do ED meta, I know to get in early makes a huge difference. My last 70 plus runs have had 100% success. I don't like to get there 45 min early but it makes a difference.

Not sure who the question is for, I'm guessing OP. For me, all my accounts have completed the SMS thing. I've had most of them for years. Been playing since launch. Never had this issue until a few weeks ago. I'm sure whatever is causing it will get fixed. It's really not a big thing. Can be annoying at times but I can deal with it. Oddly enough I only had it happen once today when it usually happens several times a day. All this time I thought it was the newer version of Buddy. Glad someone mentioned they use Buddy and don't have an issue. A friend of mine who has 6 accounts told me she had issue with it as well. She thought it was Buddy. So went back to an older version and said she didn't have anymore problems. It really is hit/miss when it happens.

Good to hear this, I just assumed it was buddy since I seen people of the site for buddy complaining about it. At least it's not that. It's not that big a deal to me. I just noticed it started happening a few patches ago. Figured it would get fixed sooner or later. Mine only happens maybe 25% of the time.

You're not alone, I noticed it as well. It can open the same web page up to 4 times. Seen on reddit it happens to others and started a few patches ago. I use buddy so figured that was the problem.

I wasn't sure there was an official statement as to why the food was removed from tots/wintersday.. I thought the speculation was research notes. I think if we see food in LNY then we can safely assume it was for that reason. If there was a statement as to why I just didn't see it.

Max shared slots is currently 28. I would like for them to up it to at least 32.

@Gehenna.3625 I see your point, even agree for the most part. Even a little info on what or how they treat ToS violations may deter some of the post about this topic. The ToS seems to allow afk farming as long as you are able to respond to a GM if contacted. Or as they like to call it, passive farming/standing farming. I just don't think this is what Anet had in mind when writing the ToS It's possible they foreseen this and found it acceptable. Until we have something solid to go on. I don't want to burden a presumably already overloaded report system.

That type of info may help those who believe they are trying to keep the game safe from bots is actually being helpful. As it is now there is zero evidence to support it helps. I don't bother reporting. I honestly think it is pointless and it's very clear on the lw4 maps it's a free for all botting season there. Said it before will say it again, when more than half the map population is afk farmers and bots Anet has a serious problem.

Its only seen as a problem because its visible, in reality the loot is junk.
I thought the best advantage to passive farming wasn't so much the drops but karma, volatile magic, spirit shards and according to a couple of YT posters t6 mats. Karma=gold Volatile magic=gold, spirit shards for those who know how = gold. I'm pretty sure the main passive farmer on youtube said it's about 9-10g an hour per account. Some of the passive farmers I spoke to in Kourna said they earn anywhere from 300g a day up to 700g a day on weekends when they can keep an eye on all of their accounts all day. Putting all graphics on low most pc or laptops can run 4-6 accounts or more multiboxxiing. One person I spoke to said they run 12 accounts at the same time. Like I said, they are pretty open about what they do.
since the youtube videos, I've seen a huge increase in passive farming. I farm karma several times a day running around the map which is why I noticed more and more of them. Annoys me a lot but as long as Anet leaves the TOS the way it is. We will only see this number increase. If a map can only hold 60 people and I can count at the least up to 32 passive farmers in Kourna . It's a serious failure on Anets part. For those who don't believe me. Hook up with me in game and I will prove it.

I don't think there are as many bots as people think, I think most are passive farmers. In fact I've talked to a lot of passive farmers on the maps about it. They don't attempt to hide what they do. When the very people anet partnered with post videos about how it's legal or not against the ToS I doubt we will see any changes. As much as I dislike passive farming. It does look like it's legal. Anet needs to change the ToS to prevent this kind of farming. Until then it will only get worse and worse.

That would be correct. FYI, I didn't have to. I chose to. Big difference.... I don't spend gold to buy gems. The exchange rate isn't good. I know a lot of people who do the same. I was only pointing out the statement you made with zero evidence was wrong because I know others who earned them all. Since you seem to be lost about how the economy works or how to use it for your benefit. Maybe look up the basics.

I think they are asking about increasing the current max. Current max is 2500 storage and shared is 28.
To OP. I would love to see this increase. imo shared slots should at least be equal to the largest bag size of 32. I would love to see them increase the max character slots per account as well.
