Same problem for me! It's happened three times in a row in two different instances, at different points up to the lion statue plaza. I did it fine on another character...

For the people thinking this has been an issue since March, people here commented that it was fixed back on March 29, 12 days after Rubi Bayer acknowledged that it was getting investigated. Now it's been reported again as of September 13th and on September 16th Double Tap said that it's being investigated again. For the people who comment after four days the issue has been unresolved for a long time, that doesn't seem reasonable to me for an issue where the stakes are a couple thousand unbound magic.

This is now happening for me on items I'm getting from Bloodstone Fen master. I have four of the items so far and I can't salvage them; they're highlighted in red in my inventory when I open a salvage kit. I tried leaving the map and logging out and back in and they still won't salvage. Specifically, I have the Strange Residue, Rift Residue, Living Bloodstone, and Aged Ectoplasm so far

This happened to me and leaving Auric Basin and coming back fixed the issue. Someone else in map chat was having the same problem...
