This happened to me too. I was 3 acclaim away from buying ascended armor and I simply did not get the reward. I haven't received any positive actions from staff so I will not comment on their effectiveness for risk of being censored and banned.

So I was in the special tab for the dailies. Said I had to unlock this new weapon and the deliver the killing blow to 100 foes. Well I unlock the weapon, go to the trading post, throw down some good coin for a decent weapon and away I went. Killed a number of units and went to check on my progress. Suddenly the achievement was no longer counting my progress. I spent the coin, did the events and now I am out the special daily reward. Kinda bait n switchy. Not to mention as reverent, the scepter graphics...are they bugged? I swing and some long red light appears like there is something wrong. Or are those just the graphics? So I have resolved this issue. I believe it had something to do with my legendary being equipped. Even though I was using the new weapon, I noticed when I critically hit that the swords crit graphics, (aurene style weapon) showed despite me using the new weapon. By unequipping my legendary, I then began to receive credit for the achievement and was able to get my daily special reward. I would also note that the number two move has a habit of not engaging the enemy unless you are looking at them square on. I really didn't get what the number 3 move was supposed to do if it did anything at all. It seemed the higher up I went the move list the less effective the moves became. I also noticed I became intermittently extremely prone at various points which seemed unusual. This was not the case when using other weapons. I will most likely abandon the weapon as it seems to still require work to make it suitable for use within the game.

So I am trying to get the tail achievement from teq the sunless. Twice in a row now I dodge, get no achievement. This time however he one shotted me while I was trying again. I have toughness on all my gear. He then did this big wave, I think ppl didn't protect the guns. He did a tidal wave and cleared the entire area, one shotting everyone in range. Maybe thats normal but the map response was kind of like wtf???? Anyway any tips and friendly advice are welcome. Please no hateful comments, if you can't be nice move along Oh and apparently the map recognizes that this is a long standing issue. Arenanet..what gives??? Edit. The one shot kill with the wave is normal..Gotcha...but the one shot on me personally with the glitchy tail attack is not. That is what I am reporting. Edit 2. So on my 11th try I managed to get the achievement. Like before I managed to dodge twice (singularily) with no achievement credit. This time however, I used a tripped out Vindicator build to grant me as many dodges as possible. That gave me extra hang time in the air to extend the dodge time. When I succeeded, I took note that I didn't just get 1 evade, but instead i got a double dodge,as in, it said evade evade in immediate succession. I hope that can help anyone else having issue with this event.

Yeah I remember hearing about unlucky accounts...pretty sure I am on one. I do world bosses all the time and rarely even get yellow, not orange but yellow items. It took me 9 years to get my first ascended drop. I have another account and well that one gets drops all the time, no boosts nothing, without even trying.

Thank you everyone for your informative posts. I can agree with not charging headlong, but it as many of you have pointed out, it makes defending pointless. If there is no need to defend it really defeats the point of WvW and has turned this into capture the flag keg toss edition. I think an Aoe counter is a good idea, but it wouldn't work on your own team..that is silly. Also I am picturing something like the vindicator dodge removing a single Aoe, with help from others it would be more effective. Lastly I have played street fighter for decades now. Most people think to get good you go up against the hardest difficulty and learn the hard way. I can tell you the opposite is true. Playing on the easiest difficulty give you time to learn and master and observe. Walking out and getting insta killed teaches you that you died. The learning curve is soo steep that it really isn't worth it. If they wanted to reach a wider audience to play WvW, they have really missed the mark. That said, I was the first to see that 6 months is not a lot compared to 12 year players, nor would I expect it to be, that said not having ranked combat makes for a style of game play where only the best of the best win, get a lot of rewards and everyone else can pretty much eff off? Like the title says, Areanet pretty much just tells you DIE when it comes to WvW and being new.

My dodge not working is a bug. It seems that it would be quite useful to have but as I said, I get taken out of my dodge. In addition my healing doesn't work. I push the button to heal. It makes like it is going to be used, then nothing happens...I can push the button 4 or 5 times before it kicks in, IF it kicks in at all.

So i am trying WvW, and certainly NOT for the first time. Me and about 10 other people are up against 45-60 people. Against these odds there is very little we can do except try and hold on. During our defense I naturally go to defend. Except nothing works. I try to heal, and I get cancelled before I can heal. I try to dodge, vindicator style, and I get hit before i can get off the ground. On the few times I do get off the ground I get hit midair and my move is cancelled. I really want to go out there and defend i do...but nothing works. AOE's dot the land, I see one guy trail aoe's behind him...12 in all. Which then brings up another point I have made earlier. AOES are too OP. They get stacked 30 strong and there is 0 defense. We need aoe counters. Without them we do not stand a chance. None of my moves will work because the dmg is so intense I am dead before any of them go off. I want to fight I really do, but how can I when none of my moves work? Players need something to fight back with. Lastly I have been doing WvW for about 6 months now..My team has never won. Not once. It always seems to be the same people swarming our bases. I mean do you have some kind of ranking system so newer players are not completely overwhelmed by expert assassin style old players? I get you stay with a group, you try and zerg hit and run style tactics. But that doesn't work when A) its all aoe's or B) you out numbered 3:1. At the very least gives us that movement when we dodge that gives a moment of invincibility. Thieves and other teleporters get it when they use their moves. so why don't the manual dodgers? Now if people have some friendly wisdom and insight, I would love to hear it. I know it will be tempting for some of you to just accuse me of lying or whining or whatever story you want to tell yourselves, but I ask that you resist that urge and resort to useful, helpful advice instead. One single stack of each would net you around 70Gold. Interesting definition of junk. On what planet? A stack of blue can be worth over 2 gold at best while green is worth 5-6 gold. I don't know what game you are playing. At this point I will not be discussing this comment section any more as people have completely blown this wayyyyy off course. I will note however that there are names in this comment section that appear again and again throughout all of the forum, consistently detracting from people's comments and trying to tear them down or discredit people. Do you work for arenanet? Do you have some other reason to harp on all of these people? This isn't a science lab. People can make mistakes, including you. Just because you do not know how something happens does not make it erroneous. Does everyone have to make an error report on every bug? You make the assumption all was working properly The amount of luck may have indeed, required a lot...IF it was working normally I have not lied about a 100 gold handout via hack. Areanet did not take back the gold, but did not wish to advertise the hack either so they let everyone keep the gold. It was talked about across the map. That said, perhaps it was localized, I can not verify. I can not break the trust of people who insist in incorrectly projecting their idea of what they think happened when they are already set not to believe me anyway. Rose, Yeah...I seem to remember a different system of luck, but if that is true, then maybe I have been playing longer than I thought. Is there some way to check my account for when it was created?

As far as luck is concerned, for example the max magic find used to be much higher. There have been sweeping changes to luck, and my error may have been during on of those times which is why not everyone may have experienced it the same. I seem to recall magic find gear too at one point. Also I did not acquire 140 magifind all at once, it was over a lengthy period of time. It also took me a bit to realize what was happening. Lastly getting to 250% magifind takes a hugely larger proportionate of time than getting to 140%. I hope that answers your questions omega. Do you have a pov on the many bags syndrome?

For now it definitely seems you were looking at luck bar and didn't understand what you're seeing. It's ok...............No, it's not ok. You are incorrect in your assessment. It doesn't make sense that you don't seem to remember if you reported it. ...........This is what I am talking about with people projecting what they believe on to my statement. I never made a statement about error reporting this event. I merely said that any time that I had error reported in the past, no results came of it. In fact 9 years ago, I was new to the game, my understanding the inner working of things like error reporting were fractional at best. It doesn't mean I didn't understand some things however. That said, no, I did not know what error reporting was as I was very new to the game. I can tell you however the exact location I was standing at the time it happened the very first time. I was in harathi hinterlands, in junction camp standing where the hill by the front entry, ( Right in front of the armorsmith). Not directed at you, but imagine if no one could remember what happened to them 9 years ago or more. You would forget how to talk, to walk....just because it is a long time ago, doesn't mean that ppl do not remember it correctly...but again I digress. I work in software developement, I know how software work. No matter how large or complex, in the end it's still a machine -> you make an input you get an output. It's not possible to get different outputs on the same input.............Really now. So If areanet policy allowed, I could tell you about an in game glitch at the end of one of the dragon fights. I could tell you . about something you just stated could never happen, but I am forbidden to. None the less it is an error I have replicated if for nothing else the satisfaction of doing so. If computers and programming were error free 100% of the time, then that would indeed be a fine world to live in. That stated, a fair number of you seem to have lost the point of my post. Repeated useless drops are killing this game. It's the same thing over and over again. If you don't believe me about my luck, fine, don't I really do not care, but at least have the presence of mind to stay on topic?

Seems a whole lot of you have a hard time taking a statement for face value and would rather superimpose your own belief over what I have stated. The number was in fact, yes, 140. No I was not looking at the luck progression bar as it reset. I was looking at achievements which displays the number I refer to there. 9 Years ago does not mean I forgot a number which occurred several times, to the point I made sure to watch that number once I began to get close. Lastly, no one expects useful items immediately. I have never stated that is what I was doing. Your projection is both false and wholly inaccurate. What I am expecting after 9 years of playing, is a greater sense of reward for my efforts, and this game is failing to deliver.

Screen kicked me out of game and when I tried to log back in I got an error message. When I looked it up the forums stated it was either a credit card issue or I was being accused of cheating. Any advice?

Portico.....3. Luck does not and has not ever reset. It sounds like you misunderstood how to read the Luck Bar. As you consume the essences of luck, the bar fills up. Once the bar is full, your account Magic Find increases 1%, and the Luck Bar goes back to zero. You then repeat it until you reach max Magic Find................ Dude, again, another stranger trying to determine my reality... Just because you have never had the game crash, doesn't mean no one else hasn't. I am telling you of 2 people's experience. Magi find went from 140 to 0 .I am also not talking about the luck experience bar, I have been playing for 9 years. Like I get it, you are skeptical, but errors happen, so do glitches. This game has glitched out many times, sometimes in my favour, sometimes not. That was in the early days, back before the game got hacked and the hackers gave everyone 100 gold. If you don't even remember that, then maybe ppl shouldn't be commenting on what things were like. Just the same, not trying to sound defensive, 9 years ago I wasn't screen shotting everything because someone a decade later might not believe me. I was playing the game and well, that was my experience.

Random dude trying to determine my reality because....? It was like 9 years ago dude. I ain't got no screen shots, and I have never had any response from a ticket in that entire time playing this game......though most likely I did try to report it. A friend of mine who was also playing also had it happen to him and he just quit because of it. So I don't know what to tell you. I can recap my experience, and you don't have to believe it. Regardless that has like literally nothing to do with the useless items subject so like, there is that.
