  1. My biggest concern right now is that support can't even tell me if my account is unbugged and if I'll get next weeks. Their only advice is to record the game when I finish my 6th. Which I'll do but just doesn't leave me with a ton of confidence right now when support can already see I wasn't given the 450 and confirmed that but then they can't do anything about it.
  2. I have already submitted a support ticket over this but I have been told to report it as a bug in game and here so that is what I am doing. Ticket is 9158860. Upon completion of my 6th weekly on March 1st I was unable to claim the weekly reward. After contacting support they told me I had claimed it on February 26th which is impossible since I only finished the 6th daily on March 1st. Through more messages they confirmed that my wizards vault is bugged and it gave me completion on the 26th but never gave me the 450 astral acclaim this week. I believe the reason for this is the previous week starting on February 19th I had completed the weekly but I forgot to claim it due to a busy sunday and I had meant to get dailies done and claim it to overcap but I simply forgot. I'm not exactly sure what really to do here. Support seems to have basically abandoned the ticket telling me to just post it as a bug so that's what I'm doing. I'd love to get the 450 AA from this week but also am concerned that my account might be permanently bugged and future weeklies will be broken as well.
  3. This is what I believe as well and why I mentioned that the 'solution' for now might be to simply go slower. Don't unlock all of core tyria in one day and spread it out. When this feature was discovered on the tea chair ANet flat out winked and said have fun, and devs have even told players about it in game so I really don't think they've decided it's illegal it's just that their autodetection is picking up false positives, which is still bad. It's actually not unintended. The tea time chair was the first game item that made this possible and when people asked ANet about it they flat out said have fun, and devs have pointed it out in game and told players about it with the turtle as well. It's basically a side effect from the fact that we can WP with mounts and it's easier to just let us do this than it is to develop a way to disable WP unlocking when a passenger. That's a ton of dev time for something the game isn't designed to do.
  4. Absolutely but given the large amounts of reports all saying the same thing and all just in the last week really gives a lot of evidence to the claims.
  5. Reddit thread about this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/18996r1/psa_using_turtle_to_unlock_waypoints_with_two/ I'm a mod at the subreddit and I had a couple posts reported about this this week and ban complaints are pretty normal but then reading the comments other people were confirming it happening to them. Now when the tea time chair was released people figured out you could waypoint with it and ANet responded saying have fun. Turtle had the same mechanic since chairs are considered mounts. For over a year players have been using turtle to waypoint other players and some using multiple instances to unlock waypoints for other characters/accounts with no issue. But now it seems that ANet is throwing out 72 hour bans for violation of using automation software when unlocking waypoints on turtle. Now some people have openly admitted to using two accounts on the same machine, but others are getting bans for helping other players even in different countries. Now if ANet has decided that unlocking waypoints for another person with turtle is against the rules, than so be it, it's their game and they have that right. But they have made no announcement of this nor changed any mechanics in game so players are completely free to continue doing this and are now risking a ban. I am of the opinion that this is a mistake and players are being caught up in automated systems but this is serious and ANet needs to either let us know that this is illegal now or figure out what is going on with these false bans. I love the turtle mount but it is basically useless outside of a taxi for 99% of the content in the game and killing its ability to be a taxi because you could get banned for it, just makes it not worth using at all.
  6. Very rocky execution indeed and even some of the interesting relics since bing linked to elite skill makes them not work well with classes with long elites or elites you don't want to be spamming. If they did add it as a relic then of course I'd assume it would be removed from the remaining two(three with pvp) runes. I don't think it would stack though as I'm pretty sure there is a hard limit of 33% max movement speed as the only way past is other unique ways. For example 25% movement speed +33% swiftness is not 58% it's 33% as swiftness is just a buff over the default 100. Lots of great data on this at the wiki https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Movement_Speed Personally I'd be the happiest if they put it into a relic or better yet just give every single class/spec access to it either through a signet or trait. But I'd also be just fine if it's returned to Firework rune as the 6th bonus and ideally bring rune of the pack over from PvP so there is a condi variant.
  7. That is a good point though I would consider https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Relic_of_the_Warrior Relic of the Warrior to essentially be a passive relic. Now yes it technically is activated on weapon swap but there is not any requirement to make it happen you just have that passive effect. So I would argue that 25% movement speed is the same as that. I do believe that making it a relic makes the most sense but if they truly are against that then yes, restoring it to fireworks and ideally adding rune of the lynx to PvE/WvW would be the best alternative solution.
  8. Yeah it's an option but only for HoT owners and both ways of getting it are not easy. WvW requires a ton of time to earn all the testimonies as it's 450 for 6 runes so if you're not a WvW player that takes a really long time. Ley Line Crystals in PvE are one of the easier HoT currencies but it's still 1500 for one set of runes and 12 gold on top of that whereas firework runes were around 6g off the TP for a set before the update. So even for those who own HoT it's still a horrible option in comparison. The price of Traveller runes is already going up because of this change. But in my opinion 25% movement speed should just be removed from the runes and made a relic. If relics can have things like revive allies 20% faster than it makes more sense for the 25% movement speed to be a relic than left on just two runes in the entire game outside of pvp and only one easily accessible one.
  9. There are several classes/specs with zero access to a 25% movement speed buff so the only way these classes had access to that for years was the incredibly sub-par Traveller runes. When the Firework rune was added to the game in 2019 it was a massive improvement. +175 total power, and a really great 6th bonus in might/fury/vigor every 20 seconds. Now with the relic update the 25% movement speed has been removed and replaced with 10% boon duration. Leaving the only PvE option for 25% movement speed as the traveler runes again. There is the Surging rune but that is only available in WvW and HoT accounts, so very inaccessible to PvE players and totally to those who don't own HoT. Looking at other relics having things like faster revive speed, 25% movement speed should just be made into a relic. This way anyone who wants to use that is giving up their relic slot for the movement speed but not nerfing their character to use subpar runes to get it. If you are truly unwilling to make it a relic than please restore it to Rune of the Firework so we have a 25% movement speed rune with decent stats and ideally finally bring Rune of the Lynx from PvP to PvE so there is a condi version as well. But seriously, there are only two runes in the entire pve/wvw game with 25% so just remove it from those and make it a relic. Another option would be to simply give every class/spec a way to get 25% speed buff via signet or trait but that's a lot more work than adding one more relic or modifying and adding another rune. I may have missed some here but these are the classes/specs with no access to 25% movement speed other than runes. Some like Engineer have access to it as a core trait but if builds don't use that traitline so they won't get it without a rune. Core Guardian Firebrand Core Revenant Renegade Vindicator Core Mesmer Mirage Virtuoso
  10. I was looking forward to a 25% movement speed relic so finally I could not nerf my classes with zero access to 25% movement speed traits or sigils being forced to use firework runes instead of what their builds require so incredibly disappointed to see that you guys consider it a stat and won't be making it a relic. So if it's going to stay exclusive to runes than please for the love of aurene can you add it to a full condi and full power rune set so those of us who prefer having that speed buff don't have to nerf ourselves to have it on the ton of builds and classes that don't have access to a trait/sigil 25% movement buff.
  11. First to give an update on the sub. It will be opening this week. We are working on automod and necessary rule changes to deal with the lack of moderating tools come the shutdown. To respond to some accusations here, I mod only one active sub and that's r/GuildWars2. I might be taking over DyeJob as that moderator is considering leaving. I'll gladly admit that many mods on reddit and other forums can be just power hungry users that are detrimental to the community. Personally I don't see myself as that and I think that anyone who thinks the Guild Wars 2 subreddit is run that way is fooling themselves. Case in point, the recent balance patch preview. The entire front page of the sub was filled with complaint posts. None of which we removed. All that was removed was some low effort memes and some duplicate posts about the same thing made close to each other. And any threats of violence against devs which very nice for a change I didn't see much at all. Many of those posts would have been removed here but we allow free discussion of the game even in negative light. The things that are guaranteed to get your post or comments removed is hate speech of any kind and threats against other users or the developers. Anyone here approves of those things than I don't want you on the sub and frankly I wouldn't even want you playing the game. We get anywhere between 20-100 reports a day and I'd say about 95-99% of it is approved. For the most part moderating this sub is pretty easy. The majority of the community is great and usually the biggest problem is individual users fighting each other. During certain times of the year such as Pride Month the removal number goes up drastically due to the amount of hate speech that comes in and per our rules those people are permanently banned as you would be on most forums that respect human rights. To say again, moderators are not paid. Being a mod costs me time and sanity that I'm willing to give up to keep the sub clean of hate. The reddit wide protest was about the horrible changes reddit is implementing that will make it harder for moderators to do their job in addition to just destroying major parts of what has made reddit what it is. It's being done not as a benefit to users but a benefit to those who run the company in their efforts to do an IPO and run away after they cash out. Reddit will suffer from these changes. With all that said this will be my last post about the situation here. As I said at the start the subreddit will be opening up this week after we get automod updated and some other details ironed out since we'll have less moderating abilities.
  12. If you consider removing homophobic, racist, sexist, and other hate speech censoring than so be it. That's on you if you think that kind of speech is okay. The subreddit mod team does not, and I'm pretty sure you'll be banned from here as well using speech like that. Guild Wars 2 is a game that prides itself on diversity and inclusion from the game itself, to the developer, and to the community. Anyone acting against that openness is a threat to the community. I very much love the GW2 community but like every online community, especially given the current state of real life politics there are evil people who become part of that community and in order to make it safe for everyone, the bigots have to be removed. Intolerance can not be tolerated.
  13. Hello there. As you might have guessed from the name I am one of the moderating team over at r/GuildWars2 I've seen a lot of misinformation, lies, and slander in this thread and I want to discuss a few things and then I'll talk about the future of the subreddit. First off. The mod team of r/GuildWars2 was at most 6 active people in recent years. 2 have already decided to resign, 1 isn't active. Of the three of us that still remain only one or two might stick around. None of us are these mods with dozens or hundreds of subs, most of us only mod one or two GW2 related subs. Even the Discord isn't under our control. Guild Wars 1's sub, GW2DyeJob and GWGW are on their own as well. GW2DyeJob may be shutting down for good as well as there is only one mod left and they are considering leaving Reddit as well. Our entire mod team relies on third party tools and third party apps to do our moderating because the mod tools that reddit proves are absolute garbage. Yes the community makes the subreddit but it's the moderators that keep it clean. The third party apps have infinitely superior mod tools that allow us to do our job quick and easy on mobile and the mod toolbox on desktop gives us many necessary features to make moderating smooth. I volunteered to be a mod because I was disgusted with the amount of hate speech that was being used around the sub at the time and I wrote new rules against hate speech and I feel that I've done a great job on making the sub a safer space for all. In that time I have gotten vicious hate mail and even stalked a couple times but honestly worse than that, I've had almost every single story release spoiled for me one way or another since many people can't follow the kitten rules when it comes to spoilers. So while you all are enjoying the new content when it releases on tuesday, I'm getting the story spoiled for me watching the modqueue on my phone or computer protecting others from spoilers. I even had Spider-Man No Way Home spoiled for me thanks to spammers. Few other TV shows and movies as well. I've seen and read unbelievable disgusting things that wouldn't even show up on r/wtf but it's reported and mods job to deal with it. And in all this time I have not been paid or in anyway by ArenaNet or Reddit. My only goal is to make the sub safe and clean for others. We also have zero communication with ANet other then new devs will ask for a dev flair on the sub. I wish we had communication and could work together but that's never been the case while I've been around. Reddits crackdown on third party apps and tools is not just an attack on those and the moderators who do this job for free. It's also an attack on the users and the content of Reddit. No longer is reddit interested in being a site for the free exchange of information and communities to form to work together. They are focused entirely on Reddit as a product working towards the upcoming IPO and that means focusing on making money from every single user. That's why even though it only costs reddit $10 million a year for all the third party access, they want 10x that from third party apps because they have to show a profit and Reddit isn't profitable. That means more focus on profits, so more ads, possibly features being removed and locked to reddit premium. The CEO has said he looks at Elon Musk's actions at Twitter as a blueprint for Reddit so I wouldn't be surprised if he's already planning on promoting Reddit Premium posts and comments above standard users or even worse ideas. The mod team was in complete agreement about the blackout and all of us personally believe the site wide blackout should have been permanent from the start as the start and being temporary cost the protest dearly. Now as far as the future of the subreddit goes. As mentioned two of the active mods have already left and two more may be leaving as well but are undecided. There is currently much discussion about what to do and we are aware that as a small sub any protest on our level does not mean much but we joined in at the start as it was the right thing to do. One thing I will say is regardless of what happens at some point the subreddit will be made visible again so all of the existing content can be seen. As far as continuing the community, I don't have an answer for that right now as we are trying to figure out where to take things from here. But I felt like responding to this post because I miss the sub as well along with others that are still locked down but I also desperately want Reddit to backtrack on these horrible decisions.
  14. The minis in question. They appeared in the mini menu on EoD launch 449 days ago along with the three void minis that were finally added to the game with the last update earlier this year. Mini Siege Turtle Hatchling [&AgG/dgEA] Mini Kirin [&AgG/dgEA] Mini Corrupted Jade Behemoth [&AgHFegEA] When hearing about the siege turtle adventures I got excited hoping that maybe the mini siege turtle hatchling could be a reward for getting gold in all of them. So as soon as I logged in I checked and no reward so I checked the mini menu to see if it was still there and then realized all three had been removed. Trying their codes just brings the 'Cannot link from this location' error. So what's going on ANet? It's been 449 days, you guys had these minis made and in game on day one and now you just remove them instead of making them available somewhere? The Mini Siege Turtle Hatchling would be a perfect reward for the siege turtle adventures. Kirin for anything in Echovald or just a vendor. Corrupted Jade Behemoth should be a reward for the NK meta. These are great minis and all the work was already put into them so why erase them, give them to us somehow please.
  15. When previewing them the visual animation has a start up effect and most weapons with that have the animation disabled when stowed and then appears on draw but these weapons do the animation both when stowed and drawn so I'm wondering if maybe that is a bug and the animation is not meant to be playing when stowed and it's just a normal draw animation.
