  1. Why should they try this map in particular? The siege weapons from WvW do not transform this PvE-map into some form of WvW. The map is still pure PvE. Yes but the siege weapons are similar. It may get some wvw to dabble a bit more into story. On the flip side it could get some PvE players to explore wvw or its training grounds eotm. I haven't really gotten far into this but found myself doing what I first did in wvw running supply and following tags. couldn't do a whole lot but I could at least run supply or take supply Yaks at level 30 something and felt I was making a contribution in wvw.. I actually leveled up one character from 7 to 49 almost purely on wvw. Now only level 80s can play wvw so forcing everyone to play PvE til level 80, Is PvP that way as well now. have to have a level 80 to play PvP?
  2. just seen a little bit of Drizzlewood map. All the wvw and EOTM commanders looking for a change need to try this chapter out. Would like for the skill part of siege weapons to come back. they nerfed the blind shots that some people in wvw were doing with arrow carts and trebuchets. I say if you're good enough to make blind shots work so be it. Some of the trebuchet shots you could get someone to spot for you and let you know if you needed to adjust to really zero in your trebuchet. I thought that helped to get people to engage with each other more. hated they nerfed some of the distance on arrow carts they should give some of that range back to give people more options. but i was amazed at how good people were at taking blind shots. just helped out if your siege placement was off by a little bit you could still be effective and not have to waste a blueprint because of poor placement. Now with having to be line of sight to target. placement of blueprints became paramount not how good you were. just my opinion haven't tried it recently though.
  3. And so the race begins to finish this content in the least amount of hours or days. never ending race I might add. take your time and enjoy the ride.
  4. Just getting back, after a 2 year layoff due to technical issues ( no computer to play the game on). Only played chapter one of Icebrood Saga so far. Seen the meta event for Jora's Keep. Definitely had some W/W/W and Edge of the Mists game play to it. Found the arrow cart near some of the raven shrines. Memories of defending keeps with arrow carts = fun. From the trailer looks like some of the elements from conquest and other P vs P are going to be installed as well. Just wondering out loud is this the way they are going to test updates to W/W/W and P vs P ? Incorporate new stuff in living story and the ones we hope to keep trickle it into be more permanent parts of the game. Could be the other way, getting more PvE people into W/W/W and Edge of the Mists or P vs P areas. It's a good way to get new blood into those areas. Many people that haven't thought to try something other than PvE may find out there"s a whole new world to explore and start playing. Been playing GW2 since The Dragon Festival or so. Karka Queen was still pretty new. Played GW1 since right around nightfall came out or was coming out.
