  1. Recently got back to this game after a long, long while (2010s) and bought some of the LW seasons, can't help but to notice that in the new maps basically everything revolves around 'finding your way to thing X', be it NPC, POI, vista, HP, whatever, in the most puzzling fashion imaginable. Look, I can appreciate witty placement of some vistas, but when the whole map is designed around obscure pixel-perfect jumps, near invisible holes or tiny cracks in a mountain range that lead to a passageway and the likes I can't help but to think of this as horrible game design.
  2. People just don’t really know what ‘P2W’ means but like throwing cool words around. It literally means I pay & I beat you (if you do not also pay to keep up). This is not the case, you get a bunch of points which are trivial to get in the first place, you don’t beat anyone unfairly with your money. Yeah, there are people with disposable income who will buy it, same as there are people who inherited a couple millions of old money while you work your 9-5 to still struggle with your utility bill. What should we do now, remove them from life? And as a PS, gold can be officially bought in unlimited quantities since day 1, which in turn can literally buy you everything in the game, up to account piloting for solo achievements. Has been like this in every MMO that ever existed. Gold/main currency will be bought either legally or illegally.
  3. P2W means you buy power someone who doesn't swipe can't have. Skipping trivial content is not actually P2W. P2W comes mostly from these old low-effort japanese MMOs that were popular there 10+ years ago, where you could just buy level 500 in a lvl 50 game, etc.
  4. It's literally only about allowing to reposition the weapon skills on the built-in bar like they already allow with the right-side one. So I can have skills that accomplish the same things on the same button after a swap or build change. No one is talking about leet addons.
  5. I know and that's not what I meant, they could give you hotbars and a book of all the skills that are available to you theoretically, so if my current weapon is a GS and my subset a sword+pistol they could still let me bind those skills but as unavailable until I swap, or at the very least allow repositioning skills within their own UI, so I can put skills that crudely resemble the same things on the same buttons.
  6. I really like the game and I'm coming back to it again and again casually but whats always putting me off is the lack of UI addons or just even customizable hotbars. My problem with it is that since I started playing WoW way back then I always put skills that do a specific thing on a specific button, like charges/gap closers on this, stuns on that, interrupts, instant range attacks, etc. That's not possible in GW2 because even if I'd go all the way and map the keys regardless of their position on the UI to my muscle memory and save them to a template I swap when I swap specs (which is actually the closest ghetto fix to this I have found) a weapon swap will mess me up. I don't understand why the devs are so dead focused on hardlocking the UI, GW2 is not a tournament-level competitive game, even WoW allows it and that game already is a joke competitive-wise. So tl;dr I hope that some day they will just add custom hotbars and a spellbook that consolidates all the skills you currently have for you to place them where you want.
  7. Hey guys, thanks for the feedback! We figured that she will adapt to it after a while, she had mostly problems with female human deaths and certain deaths animations like someone is getting tasered and that overdone scream.
  8. Ok, first things first, this is a serious question. I recently started playing this game together with my wife, we have a lot of fun but there's one problem: killing human enemies is creeping her out, up to the point where she doesn't want to do anything that involves bandits or other human enemies. I never really paid attention, but after she complained to me I spent a while killing and I have to say, even tho there is no real blood or gore some of the death animations and accompanying voices may really seem a little disturbing, depending on your personality. It's not like the slapstick deaths from WoW. I didn't see any options in the menu concerning this and there probably are none, but I'd still want to ask if there are any ways? Thanks.
