Mechanist was fun, the rest need a lot of work for me. I know they cannot be all good for me, since I dont even like other expansion specs. But some are just so weird that I am asking what is the use of this build compared to what we have now.. I cant see me using any of them over the older ones.

Best chance is wait and see when daily is in Vabbi. Lots of people and probably a few want to lend you a hand. 😕

I dont even understand what this spec is supposed to be?
-
Sold it right away. It's more than clear in the description.

Right now it is fun. I hope they manage to fix some bugs and make it a bit more polished to run with your mech. I had fun with this build, from all the specs this was the only one I had a good time with.
-
Hyped for the continent. I do hope they tone down the coloring a bit, it looked way of from what it used to be.
Not hyped for the elite specs, its clear the HoT and PoF ones were made by people who are no longer working at Anet. They are terrible at best. Only the Mechanist feels fun.

2 sieges per map per player seems quite ok. Perhaps some ppt coms will have a problem when they cant drop 6 rams or 6 catas per paper tower.. But plenty in squad to still do that anyway.
-
I kinda want to buy either the full product or the pre cursor from the TP just like the first generation ones.. Also the precursors should have been drops all along in the game, I hope they dont do the new legendaries exactly the same as these ones.

Mechanist and Vindicator played best for me. Even though the vindicator is kinda exactly as the normal herald Rev.
Catalyst and virtuoso felt terrible to me. Not sure if this can even be saved enough for me to play either of them.
Willbender can still be saved easily if they want to. Untamed is quite similar, can still be perfected.
Of all of them probably the specter interested me the least, not very surprising since the whole profession of thief is the least played class for me.

Only thing I dont like right now is that sometimes it gets annihilated and then you are just a very bad core engi..
But I like the moves on it, how it fires from ranged, the dismount seems like it will be abused in lower level areas just like the raptor is. So that will suck for daily.
But still from all the specs released I like this one the most.

You do have a point. Even the major female characters who *do* make mistakes (cough Caithe cough), we're not really "allowed" to be angry at them for more than a bit...then everything's just fine and dandy, like it never happened. No grudges here, even when it'd make perfect sense to do so. Meanwhile we're still beating up Braham for being moody.
Imagine if Eir had been a man who left his wife and son. He'd be excoriated by not only other characters, but all the players, too (and rightfully so). But...nah, Eir's a woman who left her husband and son and...that's fine. No one really gets angry at her...except Braham, who is treated like a fool for being rightfully angry with her, and I lost count of the times he was told to get over it or "understand." There was exactly one time when Eir was regretful over her decision...and Braham himself basically told her "nah, I get it, let's move on, don't beat yourself up." ....that's not how character development works.
Queen Jennah's pretty much the only level-headed ruler of the various heads of state (well, her and the Pale Tree, but the Pale Tree doesn't really do much). Everyone else, all men, are short-sighted fools. We saw that come to the forefront during Season Two, gathering the heads of state for a conference in the Grove.
Taimi's perfect. Marjory and Kasmeer are absolutely perfect. Seriously, what are their character flaws? ............anything? Kasmeer...occasionally gets nervous? Marjory...sometimes is stubborn? ...but their flaws, or the mistakes they make from those flaws, don't ever come back to haunt them or impact them in any meaningful way, so for all intents and purposes they don't exist. Meanwhile, Braham and Rytlock's flaws and mistakes have driven parts of the plot for a good long while now, create actual conflict and character development (to a point)...ironically, for all their "bad" flaws and foibles, they certainly feel more realistic than the Mary Sues we're given for female characters (and I personally like the guys more). Perfection =/= good characters. Flaws =/= bad characters. But they do serve as a giant signal for what the writers think is "good" and "bad."
(Canach is pretty much the only well-written guy who has his bright spots and his not-so-bright spots, and that's why he's so beloved by much of the fanbase [beyond his hilarious snarky wit]. We've seen actual character development with him! The writers can make a character like this! ...why they don't do it more often is a puzzle.)
Yes, the progressive writers do have a very obvious agenda. And yes, it is extremely annoying. (Just for the record, I'm a woman. I'm also a writer, and agenda-driven writing is some of the most irritating stuff out there.)
...and yes, you and I will probably be flamed to high heaven. Oh well!
Sign of the times.

I've done some limited testing in PVE.
#1: The power DPS in (nearly) full berserkers is around 6k for the mech alone.
#2: The condition DPS in (nearly) full vipers is around 7k for the mech alone.
#3: The 2/2/2 build is capable of sustaining permanent alacrity, vigor, and 10 stacks of might with just 6% boon duration.
The good news is, the mechanist has a potential role. If the mech can stay alive in fractals/raids, it will make for a decent alacrity bot. I tried using half Diviners, and it could sustain 20 might.
Well mine kept on dying to a normal Kingpin vet in sirenslanding. And not slowyly dying, it gets destroyed in seconds.
Tried 3 kingpin events of them now, all the same, dies really quick..

Not using it in pvp or wvw. But from all the new specs I like this one the best in pve.. Not sure about the Util skills yet, they seem a bit weak compared to the normal ones.. Perhaps a bit more trying out.
-
What I hate is the overscaled ones, like the LvL 83 or 84 not even sure what the Anet max is these days.. Even worse if they are upscaled veterans or elites. Just so much health that they dwarf the bounty bosses in PoF.
-
Well since there are no more JP's in the upcoming maps perhaps the strikes will replace them.. Or perhaps the mysteries will count as JP for Bjora.
-
Already bought the expansion.
-
It's kinda hard to say when you do not know why you left in the first place..
-
Already bought it so i feel i can only give biased advice 🙂
I do hope the will change the colour pallette a bit, since that is kinda my only problem with it right now.
-
The new map looks great? It hurt my eyes, but it's not too late for it to make it look great.. Some parts of it already looked fine, if they tone the bloom or whatever it is that makes the colors look toxic then it would be all great for me.

They said it's for returning players who want to jump right into the expansion and forgot about some of the mechanics.
Also, that tutorial area looked like it's just one heart, so there shouldn't be much to cause distress about.
Fine with that, it was always known as starter Island. Nice to see them giving that a little nudge in the expansion..
Now the colors, for the love of dwayna Anet, please tone it down to normal levels..

Anet solved the problem for people who cant do this it seems.. Awesome for the AP hunters who cant do the tower or the chests further up the tower.. 👌

I really urge people working on EoD to fire up GW1 and visit Embark beach and/or shing jea Island.. After I went there the video is even more terrible..

It's a bit too green.. The coloring looks fake or artificial. Not sure how to say it. I would tone it down a lot and make it a bit more like how the game is now..

Gforce RTX 2070 Super. Still doing fine for me..
Should GW2 Double Down on Strikes?

I prefer map events, if strikes can match the feel of that I am all for it.
