  1. Didnt try that, I found a forumpost where someone had got that to work, but by then techsupport where already helping me out.
  2. Just a short add, my computer has just been in use for a few months, the only thing I downloaded to it is games, so I have no weird softwares that can add problems, my client had worked flawlessly since I installed it, it was now around the latest windows update that something went haywire. Anyways, back to the grind^^
  3. Gameclient seems to be like new again, tech support helped me out, apparently there was some backgroundprocess crapping out the game client, dont ask me what it was though, they made me fiddle in task manager and open the command prompt, I usually fix stuff with a hard bonk^^
  4. Just a lil update. I got ahold of tech support and a eminent fella there made me go through several steps, dont ask me what it was I was doing, luddite me is leaning towards fixing everything with hard bonks on the machine. End of the story is, my client now seems to be working fine, I just ran around Vabbi for a little while, and it was like driving a shiny new car, so TY Anet^^
  5. I tried that, windows 10 wont allow me to rename the shortcut.
  6. Same here, giving up for now and will play other games instead, shame, GW2 is my favorite pastime.
  7. Did you try rolling back the Windows update? If the crashes only started happening after the Win update, that would suggest that's the issue. Yes, tried that. Didnt work. The first time the game crashed was when win update started, wich is sort of normal. Win update tends to make all games crash. Also tried reinstalling win update with client deleted and then installing client fresh afterwards.__
  8. I now have no problem with overheating, I do however hard crash after minutes of gameplay. This happened with the latest win update, I tried deleting the client, reinstalling latest win update, then reinstalling the client, disabling windows defender and all that malarkey, disabling my antivirus and my 3rd party firewall. Nothing works. Computer runs fine in all other games, including BDO on ultra settings.
  9. I got this problem today, newish computer with RTX 2070, no issues whatsoever in other games. The hard crashes started with a WIN update, now working on second reinstall of gameclient, also disabled Windows defender. Will get back to this thread with updates if I ever get it to work again.
  10. I had the same issue in vabbi today, on my brand new machine with RTX 2070 card. It has only ever happened in GW2. I deleted GW2 client and reinstalled it, afterwards I could play in vabbi again, but my graphics card is running fans at a mad rate. I tried playing ESO, WOW, Archeage Unchained and BDO with no issues, so I believe this is some client issue. I also experienced mad lag these last few weeks on EU servers, something I never experience on my second account on NA servers (I live in Sweden). Also I am getting seriously jaded at the whole "map full" malarkey, this is also a rare occurence on my NA account. Maybe servers are flooded in these covid times, I have no clue, I do believe the EU players need some love though.
  11. I have the same problem, tried to buy gems today, tried using both card and paypal, got some errormessage that dissapeared before I could read more than "an error has occured". I have submitted a ticket, waiting for response. Posting here in case someone else has the same problem.I have no problem on my end. Bank works, card works.
  12. It's also nice that we paid 60$+ for that expansion and now it's worth 30$ and you get 2 other games with it. We're so lucky guys! On the other hand, we got to play the crap out of that content for years, I for one sure got my moneys worth. If this bundle brings more paying customers to the game, it's all good. Maybe they can hire a few guys to start chipping away on all the stuff this community feel they are entitled to..
  13. I'm glad they did something. In a perfect world there would have been shinies for everyone, but at least they show that they are working on the game. Content will drop for every playstyle, I'm sure of it. They do have to prio what to release first though. And living world was a given, since that is what draws the big crowds. I also hope we will se new players in bigger numbers due to the bundle of xpacks. This was sort of expected, but like most of you I had hoped for more, personally I got a lot of stuff to do ingame still, there's elite speccs to unlock for several alts etc. So I'm pretty far off from the crowd that has conquered every raid, done every pvp build til they puke, and don't have much else to do except hoping for a big pvp/raid update. To be fair though, most mmo's out there are in the same boat, especially pvp is a sore tooth everywhere. I've done a lengthy stint in ESO, and their pvpcrowd aint happy either.
