So I mentioned this thread to my guild in game because the name looked familiar and boy does this guy have a bad rep. Apparently has done this many times and they always report him. Seems Anet does not ban griefers no matter how many times they do it as I thought. Crazy in a game that needs to retain as many players as possible allowing the fun of so many to be ruined constantly by the same person.

I would wager zero happens to the player but something happens to you instead for giving their name. Anet is not known for caring if they have decent players playing or not or if it drives anyone away or gives the game and bad reputation for its toxic players.

I would be willing to pay a subscription for a pre Secrets expansion server. I have yet to see a single thing that made me even want to buy the expansion as nothing looked like a step in the right direction or improvement to the base game. I would actually only list an improvement to a few of the mounts as anything at all being a positive but compared to the negatives its a horrendous expansion. And whose great idea was it to take the daily login rewards and tie it to the daily/weekly grind? That is not an improvement and it instantly created the worst daily login system for an MMO while also trashing the daily/weekly which helped to make so much of the old world more alive due to our being sent out to random zones...I have not even purchased the thing and it made my game far worse. And no, your making daily login payouts using a new currency where you lock in the best purchases behind owning the new expansion is not going to make me buy it, its going to make me want to actually leave this game I loved for 11 years. What a total poop move and one that stands out as not fitting your history of believing in your game so much you didnt need to try to force people to upgrade like this. That system has been in place since the beginning and doing this was a peen move on your end. Give us a classic server. Yeah, you reached Blizzard levels of screwing up your game so badly that some players want a server that has a version of the game when it was good.

Can confirm this is a possible fix for everyone. Worked for me.

Apparently the PvP gear is from them making changes to how PvP gear is stored. Take the characters that got gear to the PvP Lobby and it will all auto-equip. I would not destroy the items unless you are CERTAIN you will never PvP with the character. All the other random special event items appearing though must be a bug.

Can confirm this also happened to all of my characters that I made the first year of release and am also getting random past event items appearing in my inventory while doing random playing. EDITED TO ADD: Just got an invitation to lunar new year while doing Octovine lol...
