  1. I found on the Internet maybe someone will find it useful. How to use Blish HUD on Linux. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLSAplCFUkY
  2. Between the two, I saw that the screen was darker. But that could also be a difference in hardware handling.
  3. Have you noticed that on some versions of proton the game screen is darker? It's as if it doesn't maintain the same brightness.
  4. As usual, too late. I see they have already helped you. I'll just add from myself that you can experiment once you feel more confident. Different versions of proton - Steam beta or regular. You can find everything in our earlier posts. Just remember that everything depends on your hardware. My hardware I play on: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Asus RX 6600 16GB ram ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 RADV_PERFTEST=gpl RADV_PERFTEST=nggc DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun %command% -provider Portal gamemode and vkbasalt must be installed before use.
  5. I recently tried the Steam beta and the experimental proton and let me tell you GW2 works grate. Try it maybe it will work better for you too. OpenSuse Tumbleweed, Mesa 23.0.3 kernel 6.2.12-1-default, Plasma wayland.
  6. Here's a link to the open driver page. Maybe it will help. https://github.com/openrazer/openrazer
  7. I think Pop OS is more optimized for using the system as a desktop (for gaming) without user integration. In fact, that would even be my suggestion for anyone starting out with the idea of gaming on Linux to start with Pop OS. As for Steam and other disk locations I have read that sometimes there can be a problem if you are using a game that is on an NTFS (windows) disk I don't know why. You can also copy a game from windows to a steam location on Linux. You need to use the shortcut Ctrl + H to see hidden files in the manager. The path to the location of the games in steam (home/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Guild Wars 2. This is where you copy all the games from some large drive so you don't download them every time. If you don't already have a location after a new installation just download some small game to have steam create the files. My GW2 launch path ( RADV_PERFTEST=gpl RADV_PERFTEST=nggc DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun %command% -provider Portal ). I am using proton GE 7_53 on wayland. Proton GE_7_43 also works well on older hardware. RADV_PERFTEST=nggc - applies to RX 6000 up cards. My hardware is not very powerful but GW2 runs great for me Ryzen 5600x and RX 6600 - no complaints. Here's a link to an interesting video about Pop OS:
  8. Yes in Settings / Downloads / STEAM LIBRARY FOLDERS / - then window pop up and you have to choose your hard drive (location)
  9. It seems that Protons with the end 3 are more polished. As I wrote earlier for me as well runs smoother on the 53 compared to the 51.
  10. What do you mean that you had to use a new account ? Something like that should not happen. If you play on Steam and you have an orginal account you use the command "-provider Portal". Well, unless you got banned from the account.
  11. On Wayland but I won't change anything anymore since everything works. Currently on a GE Proton 7_53 and I think it works even better.
  12. I tested and when I have Vsync on, the game somehow slows down strangely for me as if everything mumbling on the screen. It's a very strange feeling, as if I have two images stacked on top of each other.
  13. I used Nobara 36 before and had a similar situation. One of the updates broke GW2, it stopped launching. In Nobara's package manager you need to downgrade the Vulkan version. After this procedure GW2 worked again. I hope this helps you if you want to go back to Noabra. Personally I use Open SuSE Tumbleweed, I will try Debian once they release Bookworm. My graphics card did not like the previous Debian release RX 6600.
  14. Thanks for the explanation. The only strange thing is that for me everything works as expected when I have Vsync turned off. I'll try to turn it on and play a bit for a change.
  15. With wayland it can be turned off should not tear the image. I think they will tweak it further over time. I personally stick with wayland. Today again I have some big update on SuSE about 2222 packages 🙂
  16. Fighting with a large number of mobs in the desert around 180-210 fps. In the city on Oasis about 85 fps. WvW around 90 - 125fps. If my fps drops I don't feel any microstutters. It is strange how on different distributions everything can work differently.
  17. Share your observations if you find anything interesting regarding better performance of the game 🙂
  18. You should continue to use GE Proton 7_43 as you are on mesa 22 and DXVK_ASYNC as someone here wrote earlier in the forum. This will give you the best performance. At least with me was like that until mesa 23 appeared in the respositories.
  19. For me, KDE Plasma works best on Open SUSE and I've probably tested everything, at least on my hardware. As for the question: RADV_PERFTEST=nggc - Enable NGGC can slightly improve performance on RX6000 series, but may reduce performance for other cards. RADV_PERFTEST=gpl - Should lead to a behavior similar to shader caching on Windows, but you need mesa-git or mesa 23 for it to work.
  20. I played the game on GE Proton7-51 on KDE Wayland, everything runs very smoothly. AMD Ryzen 5600x - RX 6600 - Mesa 23.0.0-pm1599.347.1 - Open SUSE Tumbleweed. Steam launch options - RADV_PERFTEST=gpl RADV_PERFTEST=nggc gamemoderun %command% -provider Portal
