  2. yeah that's what i'm doing atm, though I also play for fun, it's more that conquest has gotten a bit stale lately. idk the game feels fairly balanced but also a bit.. scuffed, during the cata-pocalypse the games felt alot more exciting, idk if it's the power of supports rn or something. I actually forgot to mention mesmer, that was the first profession I played up to g3 😄 but yeah you are right, i've been exercising religiously for the past few months actually, just trying to find my way as I do love the game. figured you vets might have some tips.

  4. i'm currently at 12ish byzantine chests this season and i'm feeling burned out from pvp. anyone got a class suggestion for me to try out? so far i've played P/D Thief, Core Guardian and Core ranger(I enjoy core ranger more then Soulbeast idk why it's just less spammy). i'm currently learning warrior(Spellbreaker) but it's a bit lackluster tbh. What do you do to keep going? I wish we had more pvp modes..
  5. just turn off team and map chat, nothing constructive is ever said anyways. map pings are enough imo

It should def have nothing to do with WvW as we don't want to cannibalize from that playerpool. simply said they should revive the Edge of the Mists map but remove all factions from it and make it FFA. add in some smaller objectives for people to fight over, add in resource nodes etc. a timed wboss for people to fight over with some lucrative rewards. technically EotM perfectly fits the bill but it's super dead, so a revamp to the rewards and objectives would/could perhaps revive it. the map is there!

I think it could facilitate pve objectives, like world bosses, that people fight over. temporary capture points that would end up in King of the Hill type scenario's, etc. I think the possibilities are quite broad if the devs use their imagination. something that isn't knocking on doors and flaunting on walls all day.
  8. I mean an open world map with a player cap akin to WvW but instead of 40 man blobs it's capped at 5-10 players. small scale open world pvp. conquest is nothing like that.
  9. probably because the data showed that it doesn't attract new players or affects player retention. quite frankly judging how quickly they dropped the championship tournaments it probably never has affected the game in an overly positive way, they just gave the pvp community automated tournaments instead so they wouldn't have to bother with it(judging by the release dates of AT's(2017) in corrolation with the last championship(2016)). edit: this is simply my guesstimate in terms of their train of thought. obv its speculation ngl I think AT's are just a bone to keep the playerbase from not complaining about the lack of PvP events. edit2: i love pvp btw i'm not shitting on it merely being objective here
  10. the emphasize is more on open world pvp in this case, but yeah pvp is 5v5, but it's not open world.

  12. can we have a FFA(Free For All) map? with a party limit of 5 or 10, otherwise FFA.

Would it be an idea to make progressing your own guild easier? as it stands now a solo player can barely upgrade his/her own guild, it's not impossible but the options to do so are so very cumbersome and pretty much rely on somewhat leeching with other guilds. i'd love to have the progress be more streamlined and accessible for us solo players. Thank you,
