  1. "And so, the grey-clad came from the outer night, and their jagged maw did swallow the stars, and their black gaze did mirror the void of oblivion. Their pale shadows fell upon the servants of the skulled-one with great fury from the darkness, unseen as the beast that lurks beneath the black waters, death for death, blood for blood..." Introducing Carcharodons My Guildwars2 version of a mysterious and enigmatic chapter of Astartes. Founded recently and needing members, whether your a fan of Warhammer or not, if your seeking a new home feel free to request an invite. In time there will be a guild hall for members to use as the days(weeks?) go on. For now I'm accepting anyone that just wants to game on their own terms. No major rules or guidelines, nothing too serious. Just respect each other and try to have fun solo or team up. If your new or a vet of the game, its all good.

About me: I'm an adult gamer and I have been playing off an on for the past 6+yrs. Been with various guilds and experienced much. I never have had my own guild and decided that perhaps its time to extend my game resume.

I'll check here as often as I can for responses.Thanks.

You can play as support. However guardian does significant damage and 2 of the best PvE heals in the game.

The only thing guardian is not good at in pve, is trying to solo things not meant to be soloed, like bounties.
But doesn't this basically defeat the meaning behind a Guardian? Right now the Guardian FB plays as a glass cannon. And unless your buzzing on jolt using enhanced reflexes, Trying to solo with a FB at least IS really difficult with the suggested builds from the two popular build sites. I have yet to try a DH so I don't know what play style is like for it.

I've been trying various trait combos for the past few weeks to give a FB build decent solo chance and so far nothing. I think Arenanet took the Guardian out of Guardian and instead made a glass cannon build with an ironic name. Just my opinion of this profession. And yes I'm disappointed I had hoped for better.

  3. I had struggled with power herald and I ended up mostly using Shiro and Jalis. HoT was brutal to go through in which I was saved often by necros mostly. Then I decided to try condition glint/Mallyx and although a "clunky" build I did noticed an improvement to survivability and damage out put. I have stuck with it since. Anet needs to stop nerfing professions, and instead revamp some skills to give players more options to viable builds. Right now they are really limiting the build possibilities of all professions lately.

  4. Don't bother with a druid for solo open world....or anything. I went down that very long road and became really disappointed. I had a difficult time and killing anything takes too long. The profession explanation is over hyped. You end up heavily relying on your pet and your attacks with staff don't do much damage. Going to celestial was disappointing, the skills are mostly healing and you don't get much extra damage. As well it doesn't last long enough to really be useful. I tried several builds using staff, all had been pathetic. Even the animation of firing a beam from your staff was lame. It would be the same as if you mounted a laser pointer to the end of a broom. While leveling up my druid I ended up always relying on my bow which basically defeats the purpose of using a staff for a build that comes with one. I really wish I went with soulbeast. But for now I'm sticking with core ranger.

Druid really needs to be revamped. The Druid profession from another popular game performs significantly better! Even the priest from that same unmentioned game performs way better as a healing class then what the Druid here does.
