  1. Many of my friends are quitting due to this nightmare. Worst expansion ever!
  2. My power relic vanished, its gone. I cant find it anywhere. and then I used a survival one, it doesn't work. Do ppl not beta test this anymore??
  3. Serious Buyers remorse here! Was looking forward to the new game play but I should have known better. First encounter with this Diablo looking demon and the game FORCE kills you ! What kind of sadistic ppl make this game! So now if I can beat this thing and survive that's it? Stupid! Trying to make this a Souls game? You stole ideas from every other game out there with this drivel! I can see why many of my friends are quitting this game!
  4. Areanet is better at pushing new skins for people to buy then they are at fixing and listing to their players advice. They barely can come up with original ideas anymore. First intro of the new expansion I see the "eye of Sauron" twice. Really devs? Then this whole wizard in a castle, the entire concept taken from ESO third expansion Summerset. sigh....professions still have issues, why not fix them before releasing new content? I don't what happened to this company, its not like it was anymore and its becoming frustrating.
  5. Mirage was ok when I first started over 9 years ago. I could never get into Chrono and I tried many builds. Then you have Virtuoso to which I like the range attack aspect but hated the goofy daggers floating over my characters head. I also hated the fact that it plays like a glass canon and is probably the only spec that needs help with any boss. And we all know how Arenanet will punish players by instant killing us when it comes to some boss or champions. Mesmer is a very frustrating profession to play right now. Dodges only help a little, clones don't last long and die easily. Virtuoso has next to no def or blocks unlike other professions in the game. If Arenanet thinks there is nothing wrong with Mesmer then please show me the builds you all use!
  6. At first I thought ok this might be cool....nope. But I think all this is going to do is make us only build Celestial stat armor and confuse new players because of the power and conditions mix with skills now.
  7. I agree 100% To add, new elites specs although interesting needed more testing and to be worked on. The lack of descriptions of how new skills interact with old is frustrating and I don't have days to theory craft. The new Masteries do seem pointless and lack explanations on what to do to complete them. Some seem buggy. For a nation that has been isolated for so long, the population is small and the security/policing is lacking. The world although pretty, seems dead, cities lifeless. Having the Commander a stranger to deal with crime in a foreign state seemed very far fetched. I honestly was dreading every minute of the this expansion. The Junkyard meta was brutal and very much unfair. Unless you read up on the meta and prepared for it to have a slight chance of doing well, it was just an event to watch your character die time and time again. Shock wave damage was over 100k and unless you were in a particular spot which may or may not save you 100+k damage. I really hate games that force kill players who don't want spoilers and want to experience fresh. But no You had to punish players like that hard. I have yet to do the end game meta because of the complexity and difficulty of it. Not everyone that plays this game can react quickly enough to situations or can understand things right away to figure out what the pattern is. Especially when its overwhelming. I also didn't like the credits scrolling over when they did. The timing was horrible! And needs to be fixed so that you can read what Aurene and your character are talking about. Whoever timed the credits at that point needs to fix it so that they don't interfere game play. Eod seems partially rushed, partially lazily put together, and more of a cash grab then anything else. Honestly the only thing I kinda liked was the introduction of fishing except the cost of getting a fancy fishing rod....common really that much?? Jade bot.....I don't know, it's kinda neat. It could have been better implemented. I would have enjoyed it being small and kind hover around you as you roam the world and then maybe hearing it chatter to you aswell as having the option to have it rest and only come out when it needs to do something. To me that would of been a bit more entertaining then having it on a page and only being able to use at stations. It seems rather inconvenient to have to go to Cantha to upgrade it. True you can buy your own table which imo costs too much to buy. I have a like it/ hate it relationship with the pocket bot. I honestly have been feeling buyers remorse with Eod.
  8. Arbostone Resting doesn't seem to work properly either. I left my character in the inn for over 10+hrs and he gained nothing. I'm stuck at 51% and no idea how I got that because its been like that for a few days now. EoD is becoming less fun.
  9. This elite spec surprised me. At first it seemed to me like a joke that a thief was the new "pocket doctor". But after giving it a few tries and changing things from the default set up to something more manageable I find it has some potential. First though, the name does not suit the new spec. By definition its not much of a ghost or phantom or apparition of a terrifying nature. A specter simply does not "heal". I would say this new elite spec is more so a "Shadow Priest"...But of course that name is taken by another game...but it would be more fitting. As for game play, it's a strange learning curve which your not sure what is going on at times. The teleport skills are weird. I guess the idea is to teleport to allies or enemies at a very limited range. and the reload times of those skills are a bit too long to really be effective. The attacks are weird as well and sometimes have a mind of their own. I couldn't use the default setup...it was bad. I went with all celestial and kept the weapons at default which imo suited the build better since it does quite a variety of things. Being able to help support other players was a rewarding once you remembered what skill does what...not a simple task. I think this build tries too hard to be two rolls to which it doesn't really exceed in either.
  10. Many good comments and advice given here. My own "limited" experience....I just can't get into this spec. Hammer skills are all kinda the same, Swing and thump. Sorry boring. When switching untamed or generally between you and your pet doesn't really seem all that useful or purposeful. The gains you get don't really seem all that worth it. I'd sooner just stick to using a bow and having a pet with sic em. The switching around between you and pet is a bit annoying because in the heat of the battle its basically the last thing your worried about. You either empower your pet or yourself while running around trying to "thump" things. This build feels like a bunch of bad ideas stuck together because no one really had a perfect idea for a new elite spec. I really did not enjoy this spec. I'd rather stick to Soulbeast. I wish I had some positive things to say but I simply don't.
  11. Many here have already mentioned the same experiences I've had. So to carry on... 1, The mace weapon was a decent idea but, it seemed kind of pointless to use when your mech is doing a fine job with melee. I ended up using pistol shield and then pistol/pistol and basically stayed ranged which allowed me to control my mech better and my other skills. The mace seem limited with its skills and a little lack luster. The power fist was a bit fun but the recharge was a bit too long. 2, Fan of the mech Design however I agree when you have a bunch together it makes things in general a bit complicated. I hope an option for mech skins is possible or fixing the Mech name bug may help. 3, The Mech is tough, however it can be stun locked with the default build which of course is not a good thing. I tweaked the build a bit and it performed a little better, however it's lacking in synergies when it comes to adjusting what trait lines you pick. Aswell perhaps having an option tab that allows you to have a support mech build or a dps specific build.. with the current multipurpose default set up with melee and ranged its just not that great. 4, Not a huge issue but the Mechs melee animations are rather dull. You have this fancy sleek glowing looking mech and get let down by the simplistic boring melee attacks. 5, Just an idea....I figure it would of been really cool if the engineer could merge with the mech and do an almost like ironman concept. And finally....This new spec reminds me a lot of the Engineer profession from Anarchy Online. Just wondering if that is were you all got the ideas from?
  12. We are looking for active team players to join our ranks. We are NA area guild mostly eastern area. Send message ingame or here. Thanks.
  13. I'm fairly certain many feel the same way as Hugo to some degree. I know from watching reviewers on Youtube and talking to those in game that many are disappointed with Arenanet right now. It doesn't help that they have to be like twitter and facebook taking away peoples freedom of speech. Especially when compassionate fans are expressing their frustrations only to have the comments be removed. You don't do that to people, your customers...your fans! It's a virtual slap in the face! It's insulting. If this is the direction Areanet is going then be prepared to have more people leave....alot more.
  14. Wow really?? Old poll taken down?? Trying to hide the truth from people? Truth hurts I guess. NOT a good way to treat your fan base.
