  1. First I want to say that version of the shortbow is much better than the 1. version. But I`m still disappointed that all the feedback didn`t help so you could make it a really useful weapon. What was the problem? Did you confuse all the feedback about the identity of the shortbow with the comparison to mace/shield into thinking we just needed a copycat of m/s? What would be the point of having 2 support weapons that do exactly the same? Just so you know, the engineer can only use ONE weapon in a fight, so having 2 similar weapons is pointless. The shortbow had the potential to give our support builds some new preparation options, instead we got a lesser version of our m/s, thats pointless... But enough of the rant, what could be done to make it a REAL choice between sb and m/s? My suggestion would look like this: 1. Arc Detonator Raise the dmg of the single target dmg in PVE, its just to weak, for WVW and PVP it looks ok. 2. Essence of Animated Sand Ammunition skill with 2 charges 2s cd Ammunition recharge 10s Barrier gets replaced with 1 condition cleanse Might stacks get reduced from 5 to 3 Rest stays the same (for WVW and PVP you might want to halve the dmg, for PVE , well it's weak, so this is the last point where I would raise the dmg (via Ammunition) 3. Essence of Living Shadows Condi cleanse of the impact gets replaced with 5s Vigor Chain reaction condi cleanse gets replaced with 3s Resistance Rest stays the same 4. Essence of Liquid Wrath Impact and Chain reaction protection get replaced with 5s and 3s Resolution Rest stays the same 5. Essence of Borrowed Time Blast Finisher gets removed (Skill 2 has already 2 blasts, thats enough and much better to use than using the only CC for it) Rest stays the same Thats it for my shortbow changes, now i would make 2 little changes to 2 traits to avoid the possibility of Perma Resolution + Perma Protection. Expert Examination Add the sentence: If shortbow is equipped the Protection gets changed to Resolution instead. Mech Frame: Channeling Conduits Add the sentence: If shortbow is equipped Crisis Zone's Protection gets replaced with Resolution. That would be my take about the shortbow. This way it would totally get a reason to be equipped. Now we can choice if we want to protect better against strike dmg (m/s) or against condition dmg (sb). It gives the class an even more jack of all traits feeling by making not only speccing for quick or alac but also speccing for strike or condi a thing. For WVW, where engineer got nerved real hard again and again, Resolution would also be thing that would bring the class back in the game.
  2. I like the enge changes expect for this quote here. Really? Thats the 5th! THE 5TH TRAIT an HAM (Heal Alac Mech) cant use because HAMs have no healing skill!! Why didnt you at last fix this problem before you introduce more traits like this? It shouldnt be to hard to actually fix it, just change the Med Kits Vital Burst skill to work as a healing skill for the purpose of skills, traits and relics when the Mechanist Traitline is equipped. That should be an easy fix for this 5 traits, the HAM cant use (and with your change, 3 of this traits are 3 minors that are in every healer build).
