  1. Ive been playing this game since it started and Ive asked repeatedly on this forum can someone actually define in an objective way what challenging content is .Ive never got an answer.GW2 is a game , its not a school classroom where you MUST learn things.Games are designed to provide entertainment for EVERYONE, not just for players who are obsessed with challenging content.Easy content is still fun.

  2. I gave away all the living stories years ago, simply because they arnt fun.Just a mindless keyboard mashing exercise that goes on and on and eventually Ill probably win , but its just a fight of attrition where you slowly wear down some super monster after multiple retries from checkpoints and consuming multiple repair canisters. There seems to be a mindset in this game that all the activities MUST be challenging, whatever that means , but challenging to me means its not fun.

  3. It seems to be really good at targeting mobs like jungle boars or moas, but wont target some badguys standing right in front of you.One of the targeting options like target nearest ally has never worked since the games inception. Its possible that the targeting code was written by someone who is no longer with Anet, so no one knows how to fix it.

  4. How is the elevation being measured as there is no requirement for all the maps to have the water level at the same level. The only elevation standard would be sea level which only allows elevation comparisons to be made if those maps have a coastline. For inland maps there is no way to measure elevation as there is no datum for ground level.

  5. The single biggest problem with the game is the players who rush through all the content as fast as they possibly can , and then complain that there is nothing left for them to do , so Anet should churn out new content as fast as the players can keep up, which is simply dreaming.Ive been playing since the game has started and I havnt even finished HOT yet , let alone POF.I wont be ready or need an expansion for years.

ncsoft produces gw2? Wheres my skin tight over revealing heavy bikini armor!

Do you actually understand what the producer of a game does? The producer of a game is the Company that provides the capital to allow the game to be made , and that company is NCsoft who are the sole owners of Anet.

  7. Its the Skritt mentality of I just gotta have all the shinies.Doesnt matter how hard they are to make or get, or what they do or dont do , I just gotta have it because its there. And the game companies know this , which is why they keep introducing more and more mega hard to get stuff, just so that the players will want it.Nothing in this game will ever be the ultimate reward, because that then stops the race for more shinies.

  8. This is just a technical question that someone may have figured out at some stage. How much data does the client need to download from the Server before the game actually starts, ie your character appears in the world somewhere.Im not including upgrades or patches.Trying to work out if I have a network bottleneck, as I just added a SSD to my main PC , and this has increased the speed of the game immensely, but only after the game has started, ie after my character appears in the world. The startup time hasnt changed.

  9. Mystic Coins like everything else in this game have an unlimited supply. If I have a hundred gazillion Mystic Coins in my bank, it has no effect on anyone else being able to get more. These types of posts happen every time Anet releases some new shiny thing that everyone just has to have NOW, and they dont have enuf MCs to make them, so they turn to the TP and find the price has gone up because everyone wants them NOW.

  10. Quite a few of these around and got me wondering whats the history behind them , and why players like us cant use them on a normal basis. For example the Sniper rifles in the fields of ruin, range 5000 which is miles better than anything players have.Who built them .Then theres the ubiquitous Mega Lasers than can blow dragons out of the sky.If someone can build megalasers, can they also build smaller hand held lasers.Miles better than players with bows and arrows. Then theres Iron Legion Machine guns , obviously built by the Charr, and miles better than any player weapons.Maybe its time to introduce a new form of crafting into the game so that players can learn how to make such weapons.Would have to be far harder than building existing legendary weapons and to maintain balance would also need severe restrictions on how often such weapons could be used.eg building a player mega laser would take the same resources as 10 legendaries, and would have a cooldown of 1 day, ie you get 1 shot per day.

  11. Capped sources are only a problem if the item is not tradable, ie cant be bought on the TP.For items which can be bought on the TP there are 2 sources , namely finding the item in the conventional way, or players who already have the item deciding to sell them on the TP because the price is right. There are currently around 22000 MCs for sale on the TP, so there is no lack of supply.Ive seen the numbers of MCs on the TP for sale drop as low as 6000 in the past, yet even then the price was lower than the current price is.All prices in popular items in this game will slowly keep rising simply because like all MMOs , this game has inflation of the money supply and no mechanism to stop it.Best you can do is slow it down.
