All mounts create clutter simply because of their size. But players kept demanding more mounts so its too late to start complaining about them now.As more players get them this problem will only become worse.Just live with it.

Maybe if people paused a bit and asked themselves where are all the sellers of mystic coins on the TP getting them from so they can sell them? Then maybe you could get yours from the same place .Currently 22500 MCs for sale , hardly a supply shortage.Too many ppl think the TP is like a shop where the prices of everything should be somehow controlled so that the prices are what I think they should be .Doent work like that.
-
Close, but more likley is that everyone doesnt need them NOW.Far too much insta gratification in this game .
-
No such thing as an acceptable price in a trading economy. If you want to buy something on the TP , then you have to pay what the seller wants. If you dont like the price , then you are free to not buy the item.Exactly the same happens in the real world. .If you think that mystic coins are too expensive , then you are free to go and find some like everyone else does, and then sell them on the TP for a price that you think is acceptable, which increases the supply , thus reducing the price.
-
Mystic coin prices are one of the most stable items on the TP.The current price of 1G 50S has been like this for at least 2 years, theres a mild variation but not much, and theres no shortage of sellers with currently 28000 coins for sale. These types of threads are common when someone needs to buy a lot of some commodity and realises they dont have enuf gold .Must be the prices are out of control.

Look at this from a logic perspective.Mounts are much bigger than players, so they are visible to monsters from much further away. Its only reasonable that the aggro range is going to be much further.A compromise solution would be to reduce the aggro range if players are on foot .
-
Adding mounts to the game makes the world smaller as players can now travel everywhere much more quickly.Something has to be done to counteract this , otherwise players will simply run thru all the content much more quickly and then complain thats theres nothing left to do, and that more new content must be added.Whether increasing aggro range is an ideal method for doing this I dont know , but I cant think of many other options.

That assumes that the atmosphere of Tyria is identical in composition to the atmosphere of Earth. And the gravitational constant is the same.
-
How did you calculate that Asuras fall at 17 m /s ?
-
Not a valid comparison. The Mesmer doing the porting has to get to the end themselves, before they can port anyone. Not the same as just flying there on your mount.

If people stopped being obsessed with rewards, and just played the game for the fun of it , the above issue woudnt be an issue. What does it matter what someone else gets for participating in an event, even though they might be doing far less than you are?GW2 isnt a competitive game .There is no winner ever. Its also not a reward race to see who gets the most rewards.

Back in the days when I played WOW, Blizzard would supply a small key fob which just had a small display and a button , and when you pressed the button it displayed a random number which you typed in to a box at login time .Some banks now use them for 2FA, very simple and easy to use and doesnt need any connection to anything.Maybe Anet could introduce something similar.
-
I wonder if the problem is that theres no one at Anet who knows how too.Theres a lot of bugs in the game that have never been fixed, some going back to the start of the game .eg the target nearest , next and previous ally commands have never worked proiperly. The herbicide spray in the AB meta at North hasnt worked for close to 2 years.Maybe the original coders who wrote the game engine are no longer around , and debugging someone elses code is to difficult for the current coders.

Tab targeting only works when there is only 1 monster nearby, its hopeless when there are lots standing around near you. Also seems to have a tendency to target things like jungle boars or moas over other nastier nearer enemies.A good example is trying to target the Octovine in the AB meta when there are frogs or Mordren standing nearby. You can mash the tab button forever and it simply wont ever give you the enemy you want.Anyway tried YoloMouse and its great and fixes most of the problems.

Thank you all, Ill try them both.

Anyone have any tips for making the mouse cursor more visible in battles full of flashing effects.Im having real trouble seeing my cursor in these types of events, and some of my skills rely on left clicking on a target to use the skill, which I cant do if I cant see the cursor.Ive tried some 3rd party mouse cursors, but they dont make the cursor brighter, only bigger.Doesnt seem to be any way to wind down the flashing effects without also winding down the mouse cursor visibility.tnx

Theres also no gravity, or gravity as we know it in GW2.If you jump off a cliff, you fall at a constant speed which is interesting in itself, but the amount of damage you take from falling is proportional to how far you fall, so it cant be the speed at which you hit the ground thats killing you.The strange gravity if indeed there is any also affects how your character moves. If you run on the flat , or up a hill or down a hill, you run at the same speed, and the speed doesnt change regardless of how much junk you are carrying in your inventory. As a silly example you could have maxed out your bag slots with 10 bags , lets assume 20 slot bags which gives you 200 slots and filled every one with 250 iron ingots giving you a total of 50K iron ingots.I have no clue how much an iron ingot in GW2 weighs , but as tiny Asuras can carry them as fast Norns can they must weigh about as much as a feather.Might explain why tiny Asuras can wield huge swords which are bigger than they are .
-
GW2 doesnt have any kind of sensible physics in it .Characters can run forever and never get tired. They can run up the steepest hills while carrying literally tons of items in a multitude of inventory bags , and it doesnt slow them down in the a slightest. The idea that the larger characters should run at differant speeds to the smaller characters is a similar concept, in that it doesnt have to make sense from a physics perspective. Its purely for balancing reasons.

How does it work ?Whats the motivation to grind for more gear if your level doesnt change. If the gear does improve your stats, then its really increasing your level by stealth.Either way, if the gear grind makes killing monsters easier, then your level has gone up.
-
Its not hard to make gold on the TP, BUT, you have to be prepared to invest your time and your gold to achieve a good outcome. Most players simply dont have the patience , and want get rich quick schemes which involves them doing next to nothing.
-
Provided it doesnt create gear grind, so no better stats than any other armor thats currently obtainable in the game, but thats not what the OP seems to want.
-
Once you introduce gear grind , then the level cap has to go up, otherwise all thats happening is that players stats are being increased by other methods which effectively increase the players level without changing the number. The whole point of a level cap is to stop progression when you reach that level. If you dont like this then you have to play games like WOW, where the level cap just keeps being increased forever.

Has to be a dll file somewhere thats directing Gw2 to try and read the file arcdps.ini so even if the file has been removed GW2 is still trying to read it .Thats most likley causing the crash.

The other interesting way of looking at the problem is that in an MMO, you dont own anything. All of the IP , the characters and the games content are owned by the game company, not you , so this would also apply to loot boxes.Nothing you get from a lootbox is yours.
Mystic coins price is out of control

Amalgamated Gemstones are now selling for 1.9 G each and can be farmed, so just do events that reward in gemstones, sell them and buy MCs and you make a profit as well.
