  1. Greetings, I am writing this as a plea to the developers to stop this new "bitcoin" of the Supreme runes of holding. People trying to get their 32 slot bags are met with a huge problem, the supreme rune of holding witch can be dropped only by gambling or bought off the Trading Post. I suggest it is added to the crafting discipline vendor like all the rest of be aquired by other means other than gambling. Its really troublesome that someone can spend 150gold for 400gems as of today (dont know about the future) and get minimum +20 slots of inventory space with the bag slot expansion, while to increase from 20-32 for one bag costs more than 250gold at this time(maybe tommorow it will cost more),and that is only if you buy them outright from the Trading post, if you decide to gamble for them the cost is astronomical. All i am asking is that this is considered for a possible change in the aquisition of the Supreme rune of holding. Thank you for your time.
  2. Greetings, So here goes my observation, i had a few forged weapon boxes that i got out of the super adventure loot bags. When the new skins got introduced to the game and the forged weapon chest got updated , the old pre-existing ones didnt and as a result still offer the 3 original weapons instead of the 6 that the updated one does. The chests are identical and share the same drop source and replace one another. Please update the old chests as well 🙂 . Thank you for your time.

  4. So you didn't write down any of the drops you got while doing this? Didn't make any notes for yourself on what you got and when? Didn't take any screenshots? Not even a tally of how many results were good or bad? How were you able to work out what was a good time period without doing that? Were you going by memory the entire time? It just seems strange to me that you'd take the time to work out an organised process and spend that long testing it but never record any of the results in any form. It doesn't need to be anything fancy or complicated, literally any info you have on your results would be helpful. Otherwise you're asking us to start over from scratch repeating your process with no basis except your hunch that it works, and all the time you spent testing it yourself is wasted. I didnt write down the drops that i received, however i was consistently ending up with alot of profit, my tiny brain can comprehend only this much in the grand scheme of things. I am not good with numbers and keeping track, all i know is that my gambles at that particular time frame for my account specifically yielded me profits and the gold kept going up, i just wante to share with everyone this experience, thats all. I dont wanna be a parriah or something here, let me be very clear! Just sharing with the community. I dont believe or have reasons to believe that timezone has anything to do with this, and i will start keeping track of the drops and make a google spreadsheet to have something more robust to present in the future.About my method, i dont think that its too hard to replicate my proceedure, nor it would require you to waste a ton of gold to find the "sweet spot" timeframe as i stated in my original post i always started with 50 ecto and 4 sets of 20 rare greatswords, easy to replicate and doesnt cost much,imo. Maybe it was a series of coincidence, maybe it was just me doing those 2 particular gambles that ended up rewarding me like that, i have absolutely no idea!This is where the community comes in, and i am sharing with all of you this so that we can elaborate on it IF its something real and discover if what happened to me consistently(and this is why i shared it with the community)for the past year is something more people can profit on. As always i love feedback, as it only helps!

Thank you all for the feedback and responses to my thread-search, as i stated i dont claim that i am 100% credible or accurate, hence my plea to the community for more insight and testing of my theory-discovery.I have only my word to back up my claim, however as i stated in my original post everyone is welcomed to add to it and test it out for themselves and contribute their findings , all i am presenting here is a personal experience that i believe deserves a bit more knowledge to be build around it. Greetings,I would like to make this small lecture on RNG that i have been gathething data on for over a year now , i think its time to present my findings to you and the results have been....enlightening.I have been noticing people from time to time being extremely lucky, and some(including myself) extremely unlucky in the "good" drops. So for the past year and something now i have been experimenting on RNG based on the time of the day. The mechanic that was used was the mystic forge and the ecto gamble. i always started with 50 ectos and 4 sets of 20 rare greatswords respectively. Having stated the methods i used lets move on to the proceedure, i tested every time frame ,dividing the day in 4 hour periods, meaning 00.00-04.00, 04.00-08.00 etc, for the majority of the day my account was unlucky and i didnt receive anything of value and i was at a loss for the majority of the begginning of the test, however, my account from 01.00-03.00 roughly has been the luckiest i have ever seen, scoring all my money back and more on top !!! If pushed too much though the account hits diminishing returns and all your "good" rolls eventually run out as i have also discovered.(sometimes the gabler in you takes over ^^) What it felt like is that basically the account receives x amount of good rolls and then it goes back to normal even in the "good" RNG period.The fact that this timeframe has been the luckiest for my account consistently for over a year now i think doesnt leave much room for error, its happening and its real. Now i would like to ask the developers if this is something that they intended to be a mechanic for loot in the game, and if so why wasnt it disclosed to us before.I would also encourage the community to help me in this small discovery and test it out as well to see if this is something that is happening only to my account or if its affecting more people.Please bear in mind that the timeframe for each individual account might vary and not be the same as mine. Ps. I am not a math guy so i am not good with statistics and polls etc, forgive the lack of evidence to back this claim in the form of graphs.I am sure if this gets enough attention and people test it out the people with knowledge on the matter will present some awsome graphs.   7. It's simply trading time for golds and viceversa. There's no point in the discussion itself, cause crafting a legendary ( and a precursor, through the achievement epic run ) is meant to be something that somebody would achieve over the weeks/months, and not instantly. You want to skip and get your item without waiting?You can, but you probably will pay a higher price. So basically this sounds to me that if i want something faster,and i dont wish to spend an eternity grinding i will be effectively punished with a greater cost of the precursor i want to craft?This sounds really familiar to me, almost like some new mounts that got released quite recently, isnt that what they responded to their official answer? A goal to work towards?. Guess anet never changes... So you want it cheap, you want it now and you want it easy? Wow, aren't you easy to appease. The fact is that you can't have all those things and the precursor crafting OPTION was never intended to deliver those to you. I never wanted it cheap, all i wanted is more fun out of it, an enjoyment if u will of the overall experience, i mean, i expected 1k gold to get me something fun out of it.Isnt that why we play this game? To have fun? Or we play it to gather gold to throw into gold sinks?U tell me. In my humble opinion it all comes down to marketing, and how arena net wants us and forces us to the gem store, one way or another. I would like a less offensive gem store to be honest. Having said that, i have supported this game with gem purchases over the years, i am an active player and no other game makes me come back as much as guild wars 2. Just i miss the fun i had when i was running dungeons with my friends, doing fun activities , lately its a pattern that has been imbeded in the core of the game. Gold sinks everywhere and RNG beyone comprehension,take for example the new path of fire unidentified loot,follows the same prinsipal as precursors, open x amount of bags= chance at precursor, i am sorry but i want story, i want depth i want emotion i want fun and an incredible story behind every precursor i craft to justify the cost of it. With no disrespect to my fellow players in Asia we Europeans and i believe even Americans have a different thought on how luck is perseived.RNG is an Asian thing and it needs to stay there, where the people really apreciate and value it.
  8. Actually its not about how much i paid, i could afford it and i did it, what i am "complaining" as u said is that there is less and less fun going into these things and more gold sinks, read what i wrote before u post please.
  9. Yeah, i have to admit that i feel the same way as most of u do about the whole precursor crafting, there isnt much worth into crafting one. I remember a very old post from arena net back when Matt Visual was crafting his Sunrise, when there was no precursor crafting, it stated that they are trying to find fun and "rewarding" ways to implement it into the game so people dont have to rely on RNG and the TP. Honestly, i am not the guy that has 1million gold , or amongst the top 0.5% of this game, i want to get things affordably, buying a precursor from the TP is one thing, u know what ur getting for ur gold right there, crafting one is a different story, u wanna do it for the fun of it, to experience what the devs wanted u to experience, venture into "fun" adventures and and......u get me.I have given up on legendaries in this game , purely for the time and money that they require, but that doesnt mean that if i could aquire them for a cheaper monetary value i wouldnt go for them,just i would like it to be meaningfull, constructed properly, have u do things of legendary proportions ofc to reflect the effort, not being a giant mat and gold sink,and above all good god not time gated materials......nothing breaks immersion into a game than time gated materials....

  11. If you buy outright the mats from the TP and u dont craft the daily cooldowns it will sum up to 1000g, u just posted the daily crafting version. Do u believe an experience is good when all u do for a year is craft daily cooldown items? In my eyes its not fun. Also, recent market price drops in items doesnt mean that when i made it i payed so little i payed a total aproximate of 1100gold, the market moves up and down,which is why i made this thread in the first place, to show how broken this experience is and how tied it is to the market.
  12. What the title says, it was supposed to be a great adventurous voyage, yet all i saw from crafting dusk was a major gold sink that chewed up my funds and soul. Yeah it had a few small parts which were actually fun, like the collect the gloom and find the missing pieces here and there, actual fun stuff to do, then came the gold sink which was really a major failure in my eyes and failed to deliver.I know it cant be modified differently at this point cause people already made their legendaries and payed the premium to do so, so it would be taking the piss to them if any monetary change was to take place. All i want by making this thread is to first off blow some steam off, and secondly to show to all new players what we could have gotten and what we got instead.Crafted price of a dusk:1000gold Buy it from the Trading Post :650g......I mean, good job arena net on this one.I think that people dont talk much about it cause they are interested only in the new legendaries which are account bound, cause the old ones are a joke to try and make these days. Its actually cheaper to outright buy them from the TP and skip the whole "adventure" of crafting one. PS. I should note also that RNG is really heavy in this game, as 5 years down the drain in this game i have yet to "drop" one from the billions of mobs i have killed. I would like to know what do u guys think about this? Do u share my opinion on this? Am i right or wrong to be in this mind set?Thanks for reading :)
