  1. Their cornerstone has crumbled. This last set of changes were ill-conceived.  They just play in blobs and want to take structures easier.  Much like all those they mentioned alliances, they're just play lip service to game balance - both by player class and by game mechanics.  My playtime is way down since this change.  Maybe that's a good thing, but I think its going down for a lot of other people and that's probably not a good thing for anet.

  2. Confirmed. Anet only wants you to blob around and take objectives.  They hate defenders, they're barely even giving lip service to it now.

I makes sense. The few Anet devs who play just run with the blob so, of course, they're going to change the game to their own way of playing.

Sad that they're so short sighted.

The only one I can stand of those is Rox. Because she barely says anything. Well I guess Kas & Jory are OK each on their own. But not when they are together. If I ever miss Taimi please shoot me.

No truer words have ever been spoken.

I miss Taimi like a malignant tumor.

  4. Anet lied about wvw being a cornerstone.  Its hasn't quite reached the level of afterthought, but its on its way.  They're certainly not going to spend precious development time fixing decade old bugs in a game mode they probably wish they hadn't made.

Correct. People who started the game 11 years ago have items that people who just started this year can't get.

I'm not sure why people act like they're entitled to special rewards without having actually met the conditions for those rewards.

This thread and your response pretty mimics the recurring 'gift of battle' threads over in the wvw section: "I want it but I don't want to do the thing that everyone else had to to get it."

  6. Having things that cost 1000 and having rewards of 500 means someone has to fenagle their way (buy things they may not want) just to cash in something they've done to get the thing they actually want.  If Anet wants a cap to control how people use the system, they should bump it to at least the cost of the highest priced item plus the amount of the highest cash in.   Based on the initial release items, that would be 1500 points.
