I remember being ready to give so much money for the mount skins when they were going to ultimately debut.As soon as they went up I threw money at the contracts so fast. Oh wait,They're random chance? Unlocking a skin for a mount doesn't unlock the same theme's skin for the other 4 mounts?.......Really?annnnnnnnnnnnnd now we're here.I feel like such an idiot. >.<

While I'm equally anxious to see a response, Gaile did just send in a report on the matter/feedback late yesterday. This community is on 24/7, essentially, but Anet is generally 9-5 PST. I hope they've rallied for some morning discussions with a plan to issue a response this afternoon or early tomorrow (their time). Even that is an aggressive schedule for response. I'm basing this on my place of employment, which can take days or weeks to respond to small matters. Thank you ! I hope this is getting us somewhere.I've been stalking forums/twitter/reddit for literally any kind of response since Tuesday~

Yes, we absolutely are reading all your feedback. I was one of those who spent money on them not knowing they were going to be random and got nothing I wanted anyway.Just a really sad situation. I've even sent out a support ticket asking if there was any way to get my Gems back they have yet to respond to that ticket. That was a ticket I sent like five minutes after the game went up Tuesday.Come to today and my ticket is still open....

Sooooo.We've still heard nothing about any kind of compensation/solution to all of this?This is such bullkitten.Are they just going to wait until next week to say or do anything? I mean, that gives them a week to milk the absolute crap out of the contracts.I haven't even logged in since Tuesday.I find no reason to do so considering this whole thing has pushed me so far away from this game.

So can we petition for them just to rollback and reimburse the GEMS we spent on contracts and redo the how mount stable thing entirely?I can't really think of anything else that would work and not upset both sides. (those who already paid and got nothing/don't agree with RNG and the prices, and those who got what they wanted)Then re-release the stables with the option to buy the individual mount skin of your choice.They get money. We get the skins we want without the RNG crap and then we all get a cup of tea and wait for all of this to blow over -nervous-laugh-cry intensifies-

You got access to your mounts with Path of Fire. Putting the RNG issue aside, why do you think you should have the mount skins for free? Or did I misinterpret what you meant? Well, for all the vanilla mounts we just got basic models and 1 dye slot.The only way to customize the mount is by spending real money...I would think that we would at least be able to unlock some sort of skin for each mount by playing the game respectively.Why? Because that just makes simple sense.My problem is that the only way to really make your mount your own, you have to pay for itInstead of playing the expansion that we already payed for.Which from my understanding, mounts were one of the main selling points.They knew people would buy these skins simply because there is no other way to obtain mount skins or customize them in-game without Gems~

Since when is the trend of gambling in this game okay? Ecto gambling, sure, but gambling for things that we should have access to freely in the first place is just wrong.RNG stuff isn't even allowed on the eastern market anymore because of how wrong it is.I hate knowing that the Devs are just sitting back watching this unfold. For once I feel like the majority of the player base is standing together on an issue like this.OFC there's the "whales" and the people who will defend ANET, which is understandable. They're not monsters, they just have issues with communication and addressing our concerns.I am one of those players who have been playing since headstart. I've probably spent thousands throughout the years (which I have no shame in because GW2 is like one of my few hobbies) just to improve my experience and I've never had any regrets until I saw how these mount contracts worked....I reallllly hope we get a solution. Not only to just do away with RNG boxes in the future, but for them to try to meet us halfway on something to compensate out violation of trust and money. Really sucks. Love this game, love the company, community, my guild...But where do we draw the line for ANET and make them realize that stuff like this, isn't okay.I know for me at least, I've strayed away from a plethora of eastern mmo's (really fun ones too) because of the greed that all the devs ultimately fall into.For those who are happy about the mounts, awesome ! Nothing against ya~But those like me who just want to be treated like the dedicated players/customers that we are, I think we deserve better when it comes to communication and solutions. Rather than ignoring our cries and concerns and putting more RNG shiny stuff in our faces. Gee. ~$50 USD for a new expansion where I get all basic armors with no particles effects and basic mounts with 1 dye channel.BUT WAIT. LETS ADD PoF THEMED STUFF TO THE CASH SHOP AND MAKE IT LOOK SO MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT WE CAN OBTAIN IN THE GAME THAT WE ALREADY PAID FOR (i.e mounts, weapon skins, outfits)What a kitten joke. So are we going to get any news or feedback from ANET about the atrocity of this or are we just going to let them watch us mangle each other and wait for it to blow over? THIS IS BS. Why can't they ever just talk to us. Coddle us. Explain to us the situation. Come up with a solution. None of that is happening. When there is quite a kitten storm right in front of them and they're going to just pretend it's not happening.They don't care. They're ignoring us all the way to the bank.

I know I'm probably beating a dead centaur when I say this, but I want to join the bandwagon too.The RNG box stuff is absolutely terrible.I was even vapid and irresponsible enough to blow 50 bucks and get 10 tickets thinking that I could pick whatever mount I wanted...After the second contract I realized how kitten I was....I figured well, maybe that theme is unlocked for the rest of the mounts? Nope. Just one.Ridiculous.I have already submitted a ticket requesting a refund, but I'm not expecting much.I just think it's pretty greedy of ANET.You could still make good profit off of selling the individual skins? Why put them behind RNG? Because all the other crappy MMO's do it?I know for players like me, we always took solace in GW and ANET because they've always been different than what's on the market.
