  1. Same DC's even after restart. Maybe their next move is to have us pay by the minute.
  2. As has been said countless times, the free ones provided through volunteer hours of a hobbyist programmer were much better. Yours are clunky, a mess, and not very-user friendly. I can understand why you would monetize this, but as they stand they are not worth what you ask. If you need money to keep the game in development this is NOT the way to do it. I would gladly pay (and have been) for extra/new stuff. I love the game and content, but this is down right embarrassing. It seems as if you are desperate to stay afloat. With everything that has unfortunately happened this year this fiasco doesn't bode well either. It will be interesting to see if these new build templates play out the way you hope.
  3. I wonder if Anet would make more money if more players felt more rewarded for using RNG items? If players were happier might they not stay, and be more willing to spend more money? I've been playing a mobile game with RNG items and it's doing really well financially. The main dev regularly communicates open and honestly with the community and they are constantly rewarding their players with items that you normally grind for to make the weapon crafting process a little less painful. I have no problem spending $20 on this game every few months because I know I will get something good out of it.
  4. I'm not a big ToT bag opener, but I always open a few stacks every year just for fun. In the past I'd usually open 5 or so stacks and get mostly garbage, but occasionally get something mildly interesting like a weapon or mini. This year I opened about 12 stacks that I had saved in my inventory from last year. I've been selling off bags gradually throughout the year and have been losing my interest so I thought I'd just open what I have. As I expected, I got mostly garbage, but only 5 items (3 dog minis, 1 charged quartz, and a cat mini) were from the "rare" section of the drop table. No T6 mats, no recipes, or anything else. I wasn't expecting to get rich or get any sort of infusion, but based upon my previous years, I was expecting more items from the rare drop table that that. I know it's RNG, but I wonder if the drop rates are down from previous years. So, I asked in guild and for the past few days my other guildies have had about the same experience, although one did get the destroyer infusion. I noticed a few posts on reddit also kind of confirming lask luster drop rates. So I'm curious if the community has noticed it. I haven't seen anything mentioned officially, so I'm just kind of curious know at this point. I know this how RNG works, and I know these discussions always get brought up for events like this because if just "feels" like things have changed because of my bad luck. Puts on tinfoil hat ... But what if this is their new game direction. Maybe they feel with a dwindling population they'll get us to grind more because those drops are rarer and harder to find. I kind of feel this is supported because of their trend of achievements among other things. For example, Grothmar requires something like 54 achievements for an emote. The emote is cool and all, but usually we get the reward for half of those achievements. Of course though, if I really wanted that emote, I'd be willing to grind out all those achievements, and maybe that's what they were going for. Reducing drop rates of any sought after item like ToT bags could have the same affect too, so maybe that's their plan going forward?
  5. Menzo you are absolutely right, but with what remains of Anet, there is little hope that anything you mentioned will happen. Too bad the devs will most likely never read this. I really doubt they are that active on the forums anymore.
  6. Same, I've lowered models to lowest. I'm using 64 bit too. Last crash was at the Choya Pinata.
  7. For the past year or so I've had zero issues playing GW2 with decent FPS even in zergs. When everyone is talking about the lag they are having during events, I have none. Recently tho, I'd say the past few months, I've been getting CTD during heavy zerg meta events. I go to event viewer and it's because I've "exhausted my resources"I have no more available RAM. I currently have 12GB installed. So, I've begun micromanaging what's using memory. I've lowered settings and disabled most unessential services, programs, etc... The problem keeps happening. It's behaving a lot like a memory leak. I start the game and it's around 3.7GB, but when it crashes it can be using up to 8GB+ according to system logs. 2nd place usually goes to my anti-virus, it's memory footprint has stayed relatively consistent. I've also configured the antivirus to use minimal resources. I haven't started testing it and monitoring it too closely, but I can say I can run GW2 just fine initially. After about an hour of gameplay if I'm still doing meta events, it will crash. I've started manually closing GW2 between meta events and that seems to be my only real solution at the moment. So that shows me GW2 isn't releasing RAM efficiently on it's own. The funny thing is that just a few months ago I could play GW2's meta events with Netflix or some other streaming-browser app on my 2nd monitor at the same time and NEVER had any memory issues. My in game settings were higher too and anti-virus was on default settings. I'm a long-time PC enthusiast and I know enough PC stuff to try and fix it on my own. I've tested my RAM and no errors, I'm also using SSD drives with a page file.
  8. It would be nice if someone from Anet commented on this either confirming this as working as intended or a bug, AND gave us an option to sell back our cultures....
  9. Same. I admit that since I have a bunch of charged crystals I'm trying to craft and post to TP. If this is by design since I have finished this collection, it would be nice if we were told and that we either would not be able to buy the culture anymore for 4g a piece or we had a way of selling it back.I mean the fact that it remains as something we can buy from any chef vendor tells me that they want it to be available after finishing the collection. Otherwise they should have made Gorrick the ONLY vendor with the culture.
  10. I just tried after patch today and still no go. I cannot craft, I spent a lot of gold to craft it, I hope I'm not out
  11. Yeah, it's slow, but when looking at exchange from gold to gems it's giving me weird numbers. For example it had 1200 gems at zero gold, but the others were fine. Then for custom exchange it almost let me trade gems for a ridiculously low amount of gold. I didn't do it, but it's acting odd.
  12. Same. I crafted some yesterday. Went to craft some more today and nada. It goes through the animation and sound but doesn't take the culture from my inventory or put the treat into my inventory. I just bought 20 cultures for 80g and now I'm stuck and can't sell it back either. Hope they fix it soon.
