  1. This change wasn't made with Untamed in mind. It was made with Mechanist in mind. If Mechanist didn't exist, this change wouldn't exist either.

Direct quote from anet balance dev when asked about OWP change.

    Can't believe this is real:

    "ANet_Solar — 06/10/2022
Not that much- isn't OWP only a 4s duration on allies?
I haven't played Ranger, so I'm operating based on GW2Wiki here"

The changes were made by a guy who doesn't play Ranger. This is actually happening right now.

Don't know if I should laugh or cry. 😐

  3. In Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons, only warrior and ranger lack the ability to fill those essential boon support roles.

Since banners and spirits are unique effects, warrior and ranger break from the simple system of shared boons and conditions that allows professions to share common roles. While this creates certain unique group roles like the banner warrior, it also strongly limits play.

Warrior players have been telling us for years that they’d like to be something other than a banner warrior in groups! We agree, and we’re going to rework banners and spirits to fit our shared boon system and open new options for warrior and ranger players. Both professions will have access to new boon support roles using revamped banners, spirits, and related traits.

Unfortunately, due to time constraints and work on new elite specializations, we were unable to make these changes for the Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons launch, and we’re planning to make them part of a larger profession update and balance patch coming this summer. Until then, banners and spirits will remain as they are and continue to have a 10-target cap.

Here is the answer I have gotten:

    Here is the temp fix:

Launching the game in WINDOWED MODE instead.

    1. Create a shortcut to your Guild Wars 2 client (gw2.exe, Gw2-64.exe) by right-clicking the file and selecting "Create Shortcut."
    2. Now right-click the shortcut and choose "Properties."
    3. In the line that reads "Target," add a space at the end of the line and then add the following: -windowed
    4. Your target line should now look something like this: C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -windowed
    5. Click "Apply" and then "OK."
    • Launch your client and log into a character.

    Worked for me. Thanks!!

Yeah I were wondering what the "trade off" will be, but sorta boring if it's the same as Soulbeast? But I think they might do just that

Sort of like SB. Except you still keep the pet. It just goes back to normal.

  6. Ranger

    • Fixed a bug in which a stowed pet would be unstowed when entering or leaving water.
    • Fixed a bug in which the pet would be stowed after mounting a skimmer on water and then dismounting on land.
    • Fixed a bug in which the pet would be stowed when mounting a flying mount after gliding.
    • Maul: Fixed a bug in which this skill would go on full cooldown when interrupted.

    Druid

    • Celestial Avatar: Players can now use the mount key while in Celestial Avatar. Doing so will automatically deactivate Celestial Avatar. Any remaining Astral Force is lost upon deactivating Celestial Avatar in this way.

    Soulbeast

    • Fixed a bug in which swapping Build Templates could leave players merged with a pet not in their current build. Swapping between soulbeast Build Templates while merged with a pet will now unmerge your pet, and then automatically remerge after the template swap completes.
    • Fixed a bug in which swapping Build Templates could leave players merged with a pet even when they no longer have the soulbeast specialization slotted.
    • One Wolf Pack: Fixed a bug that caused damaging strikes from this skill to fail to occur on certain large bosses, such as Tequatl the Sunless.
    • Beastmode: On entering or exiting water, if players were previously merged with their pet, they will now automatically remerge after transitioning to water or land.

  7. May 25th update:

The reduction in the previous update to soulbeasts' damage via "Sic Em!" cut their overall damage output below the level we'd like to see from a competitive power DPS specialization. To that end, we're giving soulbeasts back a significant DPS effect in PvE content by increasing the power of the Furious Strength trait.

    Soulbeast

    • Furious Strength: Increased bonus strike damage from 10% to 15% in PvE only.

  8. Damage-build soulbeasts have been unleashing numbers that are higher than they should be. This is on a broad level rather than being tied to particular weapons or utility skills. As such, we're tapping the power and condition damage bonuses they gain while merged with deadly and ferocious pets for some reductions. In competitive game modes, druids have been seen significantly less use for their supportive abilities, so we're tuning those up to encourage bringing the affected traits and glyphs.

    • "Protect Me!": Fixed a bug that prevented this skill from granting barrier while the ranger was merged with their pet as a soulbeast.
    • Viper's Nest: Increased the duration of poison inflicted from 4 seconds to 8 seconds, and reduced the stacks per pulse from 3 to 2.
    • Deadly Archetype (Soulbeast): Reduced the condition damage increase gained while merged with this Deadly archetype pets by 25% (200 to 150 at level 80) in PvE only.
    • Ferocious Archetype (Soulbeast): Reduced power increase gained while merged with Ferocious archetype pets by 25% (200 to 150 at level 80) in PvE only.
    • Seed of Life: Increased number of conditions cleansed from 2 to 3 in PvP and WvW.
    • Lunar Impact: Increased healing coefficient from 0.72 to 1.0 in PvP and WvW.
    • Vine Surge: Increased immobilize duration from 1.5 seconds to 2 seconds in PvP and WvW.
    • Grace of the Land: Increased might stacks from 2 to 3 in PvP and WvW.
    • Glyph of Rejuvenation (non-celestial): Increased base self-heal from 4,860 to 5,589 in PvP and WvW. Increased base heal for allies from 1,950 to 2,535 in PvP and WvW.
    • Glyph of Rejuvenation (celestial avatar): Increased base self-heal from 1,950 to 2,535 in PvP and WvW. Increased base heal for allies from 4,860 to 5,589 in PvP and WvW.

Norn: There are several factions forming. some wants to move back north totheir old homesteads. Some want to stay where they are. Some want to worship the dragon and others oppose it. the assasination of Knut Whitebeard brings this back in a political battle over the leadership of the norn while struggling to keep the community together.

I don't think you understand the norn very much.
