Could you at least roll back to the previous version until you have a fix/change ready, please?

One guy on my server got 60 lvls in like 3 hours of staying inside SM, and that without a WXP event. That is absurd. May as well give everyone God of WvW for free.

And it would have been more appreciated if they had stated it was going to be a test phase first, and not stated in a front page news story and then patch notes as if it was fully done and completed to add.
This. It's understandable, but it killed my hype train a bit.

Love the idea of removing the "Gift of Exploration" grind and so on, but only in the sense that you have to do it at least *once* to unlock a vendor accessible by the character that completed each of those. Then quadruple the price. Even then, I think you'll find it'll go a bit crazy...
The reason is that you earn them "passively" in WvW while playing the game mode. The reason I don't have lots of legendary weapons is because I hate the grind of map completion (on the old ones) and that's why people put a price on it. If I could swap them for gift of exploration at the mentioned rates - I have 26k of them. Complete 1 legendary, sell it for large profit, and use that to buy the components towards the next and 25 more to manufacture/sell.
So love the idea of having something to spend them on. Not sure short cutting those horribly annoying time sinks to achieve high tier stuff is the way to do it. But if they did, I absolutely would complete a load of legendary weapons 🙂
Heck even at 10k a pop i'd still be very happy, without being able to abuse it to profit.
Good points. The reason I went with my price is because of the time investment. 3 Weeks spent in WvW, or 24 hours in total playtime for high rank players (more for low rank players) to get 1095 tickets, equaling one gift . HoT and EoD map completion takes like what, 6 hours? So it seemed like a good tradeoff.
What they could do is have a starting price of 2000 or whatever, and then increase it by 500 for every purchase. This way, people can get a few legendaries without having to spend time in PvE. If they want more, and the prices get to like 5000 tickets, they'd actually have to do the map completion again because it's not really worth it anymore for most players.

Not sure if you're reading this ANet, one can never know with you guys, but here are some ideas for a skirmish ticket sink for the people that are drowning in tickets:
- Mist warped bundle: 20 skirmish tickets
- Gift of Exploration, Gift of Maguuma and Gift of Cantha: 500-1000 skirmish tickets
- Trophy Shipment: 20 skirmish tickets
- Leather Shipment: 20 skirmish tickets
- A way to upgrade the legendary WvW armor to a legendary skin, not ascended, like it is now. This one is just wishful thinking (everything is), since it would require additional dev time: 1000 skirmish tickets per armor piece
- War machine skins: 300 skirmish tickets (perhaps some people like them, I personally don't)
- Season 3 and 4 currency boxes like the one from Jade sliver vendor: 20 skirmish tickets
Obviously the numbers can be tweaked, I'm no game economist after all. 😉
That's all I could come up with right now, maybe you guys have some ideas. 😎

I'd be content with badges of honor, anything really. Just so they CAN be traded.
-
I feel like they could extend the rewards to T3 camps as well, since they're quite important, obviously with reduced rewards.

Depends, if you add everything up like bags from kills, reward track, pip track and these new scaling rewards with the skirmish tickets, who knows.. Doesn't even have to top the PvE farms, a lot of people would settle for a bit less in value if it means they can fight and kill other people instead of just attacking some PvE hit dummies, and the extra skirmish tickets will be an incentive for people who don't have legendary armor to join in on it as well... At least the rewards for failed attacks won't be active yet so we'll be spared of it for at least a while for now
If it does happen, you can bet your kitten I'll be the first to try and disrupt the farm where possible. I'll make it my life's mission if need be. 🤣
Edit: Perhaps ANet has added some kind of diminishing returns to prevent this stuff kind of gameplay.

If both successful and unsuccessful assaults and defenses are going to be rewarded (which is a pure zerg favored update), how long will it take before the 3 teams agree to just enter a farm 3-way at SM lord and fight there without capping? Gold reward for defending or failed assault every tick and all the players on the map together in one big castle.. A new farm has been born, lol. When WvW becomes the new PvE..
Whatever the rewards are gonna be, it's still gonna be worse than PVE in terms of gold per hour, so I don't see this happening.

It was talked about in the June blog post way back...
"having rewards earned from attacking or defending objectives scale based on the number of enemies you interact with in a battle. Simply put: fights against other players while attacking or defending an objective will result in that objective being more rewarding than it is today."
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/world-vs-world-update-june-2022/I've heard them talk about it, I was just wondering why it wasn't elaborated upon in the post. 🤷♂️

What exactly is this? It was mentioned in the spring roadmap and is coming tomorrow. I can't be the only one who noticed this? No one of the PVEers on reddit did, that's for sure.

Game mode is getting more like Drizzlewood Coast by the day, except in DW you actually defend, otherwise you can't advance the meta...

As long as this is just a start for more rewards, then I'm fine with that, but that resonating sliver is really useless. Put something else in there, please.

I just find the Warclaw change to be completely nonsensical and it seems it was done purely for the sake of having done something.
If you're besieging something, you can bet your kitten you will be dismounted by all the damage that will be flying around, and then what? Go out of combat to remount? You don't always have that option, and even if you do, you'll get dismounted again, rinse and repeat. It's stupid design and the ability should just be deleted.
No thought was put into this whatsoever.

The second you stop caring for rank, the second you stop caring if you win or loose... is the second you will begin to enjoy pvp again.
Yep. This game isn't competitive anymore, playing for fun only is the best course.

About 2 years ago they nerfed power damage alot , way more than the condi damage nerf 😞
Okay, your point? Power builds have been meta for years.

They've nerfed the damage and the duration of condition damage skills, plus added the resolution boon. As a result, it's become useless in large scale fights.
I believe condi builds should at least have a place in roaming. These days, it isn't the damage, but the tankiness of celestial, trailblazer, you name it, which are the problem.
Imo, when you want to do high condi damage, you should be relatively glassy, just like power builds. The maximum that should be allowed is a stat combo akin to the Wizard amulet in pvp (power + condi major and vitality + precision minor) or a new stat combo with condi + precision major and vitality + expertise minor. Then it would be like marauders for power builds, and that's as far as it should go in terms of tankiness.
This is just wishful thinking on my part, because the problem is that they can't remove stat combos in WvW, it's tied to PVE. ANet avoids upsetting the player base at any cost, even if it's harmful for the game.

looks like EU WvW is paradise for gankers because so much population, so many noobs
I don't see this population you're talking about. WvW on EU is deader than ever.

Wvw rewards: lipstick on the pig don't work. Problem is numbers imbalance.

They're aware of the fact that elite specs are a big driving force for expansion sales. They'd be stupid not to release any.
