No, roughly about 1/4th of the player base in NA is solidly using blatant hack mods lately.

Depending on what mod they use and how much money they invest in it to unlock additional features, depends on what they have access to.

Here is a list of common hacks that you'll see being used in ranked and now even casual ATs. It's very annoying in ATs because the hack users all identify each other and they recluse into this closed groups and only queue together, supporting each other's hack use. It turns an otherwise mediocre team into something you can't deal with due to hacks:

When everybody says sPvP is dead or Anet doesn't care it is not just some meme. It is for real. It is not worth putting so much effort in commenting though.

That was on the feedback, they were warned. The fact that they ignored it, reduced the health sacrifice cost and even buffed some heal fact tell us how much time they spent reading the feedback.

Swords do not have enough damage though. Not sure if its worth taking at all in sPvP.

Okay let me make premades, you can have the people afking once they lose mid first fight

There are ATs round the clock. You can play with premades inhouse at any time. There is unranked 24/7. Where most AFK happens is in gold. There you can meet people having no clue about anything. Thats because running with a naked char in circles already earns you a high silver - low gold rank. You don't have to know anything except how to queue. The least you can do is to help such player to reach the rank they deserve ;-).

Anet just spent the last year converting this spec into a alacrity barrier spamming support bot, and now you're taking out alacrity AND nerfing cooldowns? why not nerf the barrier  amount instead?

    Why?

    Why do you do this?

We've been telling you for years boon spam is bad for wvw, we can't even fight in wvw without lag in every big fight, but you insist on adding more support spam and now scourges gonna get nerfed again for changes you did not even a year ago. Insanity.

They have answered it. Their preference are support and boon spam classes. It is not so much about balance obvously.

  5. Depends on the time. When I play late afternoon literally every match is lost. A few hours later every match is a win. Overall there is no time where match making is able to find 10 similar skilled players anyway.

  6. I know I am the baddie when I die most in my team and we still win.

I would consider a fight (5v5) fair when both teams have players with similar skill/experience. In addition class composition must match. This is almost never the case due to a lack of players. Ranked is not better - just different. Unranked is more releaxed (less try hards) but worse in terms of fair matches.

I would take the game mode for what it is. Just play and have fun. No reason to play for any other reason imho. Meta builds are not the best for everyone. I would just take them as base and change to personal preference.

  7. After a rough start with lots of AFK it got better. I wish there would be regular events. One thing that shows how little effort was put into the rewards is the finisher box where you can select some that were an award. This is like giving titles away for free.

while it is true you don't need to know ALL of them, but it definitely helps to know the relevant ones, which do change occasionally. That said if you go in only knowing the class you play and no knowledge of the other classes you are at a serious disadvantage and will likely have far less enjoyment in the mode. Also I am not saying you need full mastery of every spec either but a core understanding of their skills and traits.

If you find you can still enjoy it without that knowledge more power to you.

More rewards would definitely be nice as well, especially in unranked forcing new players into ranked for any rewards is probably not the smartest move.

the 3rd point is one way of basically limiting the horizontal content, however not sure if it would go over well with the pvp community, especially since anets idea of a pvp build is a bit well...

no spec swapping after match making I can see.

Part of the problem isn't just that there is more to learn and do, but just removing the content isn't fair either, as you will be essentially removing classes/builds people enjoy playing and potentially fighting against and potentially force more people out.

If gw2 pvp was its own game entirely at launch and progressed independently from pve balance and changes it may have thrived, but the split happened way too late.

Just to be clear. Those ideas are for unranked to make it easier to enter sPvP as new player. Ranked would still give full freedom to choose any build/spec. It is unlikely that any changes will happen anyway. Even with future DLCs all money will go into PvE to keep it running I suppose.
