  1. There is already random mode - actually two. It is called ranked and unranked.
  2. When everybody says sPvP is dead or Anet doesn't care it is not just some meme. It is for real. It is not worth putting so much effort in commenting though.
  3. It is about bad game design imho. There was incentive not to go AFK even in one sited or loosing matchups. Anet removed that - end of story.
  4. sPvP is not exactly a valid game mode. A few game designer still use it as test area for broken specs though.
  5. There is no propper balancing for PvP. Why would it when the game mode died 7 years ago. The only real complain is introducing more and more overpowered BS making competitive games even worse.
  6. There are no balance patches. Only breaking specs - fixing them - breaking them again. And this goes on for quite a while without progressing to something better.
  7. PvP is dead because of Anet who has zero interest in that game mode.
  8. What a joke preview. I wonder for what these game designers are getting paid for considering how bad they are at their job.
  9. Necro swords are not a problem compared to other new weapon specs like warrior. It is as unbalanced as it can be.
  10. Swords do not have enough damage though. Not sure if its worth taking at all in sPvP.
  11. Sword/sword power reaper seems to work well in sPvP with Blood Bank. It is like when Reaper was new and tanky years ago.
  12. There are ATs round the clock. You can play with premades inhouse at any time. There is unranked 24/7. Where most AFK happens is in gold. There you can meet people having no clue about anything. Thats because running with a naked char in circles already earns you a high silver - low gold rank. You don't have to know anything except how to queue. The least you can do is to help such player to reach the rank they deserve ;-).
  13. Most often the worst players complain about AFK. PvP is not for you when you have a problem with AFK.
  14. sPvP is no active developed game mode for years. Chances this will ever change are like zero.
  15. They have answered it. Their preference are support and boon spam classes. It is not so much about balance obvously.
  16. Depends on the time. When I play late afternoon literally every match is lost. A few hours later every match is a win. Overall there is no time where match making is able to find 10 similar skilled players anyway.
  17. Every class/spec consists of many skills and traits. Comparing single ones is pointless.
  18. I know I am the baddie when I die most in my team and we still win. I would consider a fight (5v5) fair when both teams have players with similar skill/experience. In addition class composition must match. This is almost never the case due to a lack of players. Ranked is not better - just different. Unranked is more releaxed (less try hards) but worse in terms of fair matches. I would take the game mode for what it is. Just play and have fun. No reason to play for any other reason imho. Meta builds are not the best for everyone. I would just take them as base and change to personal preference.
  19. One shot meta it is. Specs with high mobility, teleport and invis/invulnerability. Port in - unload all dps - move out. No fun when its done by good players.
  20. Everybody who plays sPvP knows that Druid is a broken spec at the moment. I am pretty sure Anet does as well. Eventually they will address it. There are just other priorities I guess.
  21. After a rough start with lots of AFK it got better. I wish there would be regular events. One thing that shows how little effort was put into the rewards is the finisher box where you can select some that were an award. This is like giving titles away for free.
  22. On NA its just a s h i t show. 2 of 3 matches with AFK/DC from start. This has nothing to do with PvP.
  23. Just to be clear. Those ideas are for unranked to make it easier to enter sPvP as new player. Ranked would still give full freedom to choose any build/spec. It is unlikely that any changes will happen anyway. Even with future DLCs all money will go into PvE to keep it running I suppose.
