  1. Here's a reminder: Payment issues are very personal, and we need to be able to help you on a direct and confidential level. Please submit a ticket by clicking "Support" at the very top of this page, then choosing "Submit a Ticket" at the top right of that Guild Wars 2 Support page. Select 'Purchase & Billing Support" as the reason for the ticket. This will ensure it goes into a special queue that is handled by payments experts, and they usually can help you quite quickly.

Posting on the forums really won't get you the help you need, so please do submit a ticket so we can assist you!

    Thanks.

  2. Hey folks,

We had a lot of really interesting ideas for Quality of Life (QoL) suggestion in the GW2 Discussion Subforum, and even one over in the WvW Subforum. To keep things consolidated and increase the chances that these ideas will be seen during a forum visit by the devs, I'm merged the most recent suggestions into this QoL thread.

I invite members to continue to post your suggestions for game improvements of the QoL type in this thread!

  3. Hey folks,

I talked to one of the designers on Chasing Tales, and they did some investigation into the bugs being reported. Looks like the issues with both rifle and axe have been noted, replicated, and confirmed and fixes should be rolling out in an upcoming build.

We're sorry for the issues that you're having and will get that all tidied up ASAP.

  4. Soooo... there actually have been TWO bugs about this, at various times. Poor Nuhoch!

    About those bugs:

    1. One was fixed a few years back -- so when someone points to something being 3 years old they're probably looking at that old, smited bug. I certainly hope so! :)
    2. The other bug fix was corrected with the 1/22 release.

I'm thinking that with the most recent post here being dated before the 1/22 release, we might be all good on these two.

Could you please update this thread if there are continued issues with this?

  5. I can't help but note this is a long-reported bug, but the good news is that there is a bug in the reporting/tracking system about this, where it's recognized that occasionally Ranger Greatsword Skill No. 3 does not remove its animation from the player.

If you have any other details you want to share on this, please post them here.

  6. Update from QA: There is a bug report and tracking info in the system regarding the fact that players can appear in the ground for a moment after mounting up in heavily populated maps. This means it's a reported issue, and they'll replicate it (if they can do so) and address it when they are able.

Out of curiosity, how long do you appear to be on the ground before you properly see yourself on a mount?

  7. Did last night's build help this situation? Update note here.

After reading through the thread, I can anticipate that the build did not correct all the reported issues. I've reached out to the dev team to ask if someone would be able to take a look. This being late Friday afternoon, I imagine that can't happen until Monday, at the earliest, so we thank you for your patience and the details you're providing!

Sorry, but this thread is not the appropriate place to discuss the command line option changes. This thread is about the policy, not the implementation or functionality, you see? I encourage you to share your thoughts in this thread about the changes to the command line options. That thread is being read by ArenaNet team members and your opinions will be seen in that thread.

To address about the quoted comment: The option to multi-box has not been removed. Multi-boxing took place years before the creation of any third-party program, and it can continue now, with normal entry of account credentials or, I suppose, possibly with alterations to the third-party program, for those who make the choice to use one. (I don't know the latter for certain, I'm just taking a guess.) We do note that that some players are not happy with changes to the command line options, but it's important to be factual, and multi-boxing absolutely is still possible.

Please join the linked thread if you'd care to comment further on that subject. Thank you.

  9. As we've said previously, each ticket or e-mail is handled individually, and response times can vary, depending on the issue at hand.

You will receive an automatic response when you submit a ticket. If you do not receive such a response within an hour of submitting a ticket, then it's possible that the ticket did not get added to the system. In that rare case, you should create a new ticket and mention that you wrote (date and time would be helpful) on the same subject. Critical: Look for the automatic response, and do not create a new ticket until you are certain that you did not receive it.

Most ticket are getting resolution in 24-48 hours. Some unusual cases will take longer.

  10. As of 23 January 2019, we updated the policy to be clearer about custom arenas, where the italicized content is the addition:

    • Multi-boxing may ONLY be used in PvE areas. You are not permitted to run multiple accounts simultaneously in PvP, WvW, activities, or in other competitive environments.
    • Note: We make an exception for the use of multiple accounts in custom arenas, but encourage anyone hosting a custom arena to, as a courtesy to all participants, specify that multi-boxing is allowed in that arena.
  11. I'm really sorry that some of you are unhappy with this change. I'd like to reiterate that the decision was based solely on our concerns for player security. Theories about alternative motivations for the change are completely baseless.

I notice at least one person state that those who used the system were fully aware it was an "at your own risk" situation, and that every user would be aware of any security risks that they were taking on. I have to dispute that. I don't believe that everyone knew of the risks, nor that every single user willingly accepted them. It would be provably inaccurate to state, "I knew it was risky, therefore every other user knew that, too."

As stated here, we have no objections to players using multiple accounts, when that use follows the proscribed limitations. The change today was decidedly not a means of trying to limit or halt multi-boxing, nor was it developed as a means of inconveniencing those who play with multiple accounts. If you are inconvenienced, we're sorry. But security > convenience, as I'm sure you'll appreciate.

  12. Here's a tip from our CS Team: Go into the in-game store and start the process of making a purchase. (Don't worry, you don't need to buy anything!) When you get to the payment screen, you'll see a link right on that page to remove billing data from our billing provider's system. (We don't retain it, but they do.)

I hope that does exactly what you're hoping for. If you have other feedback, don't hesitate to share.

    To do that:
    1. Start the spoiler with [ spoiler ] (without the spaces)
    2. End the spoiler section with [/ spoiler ] (also without the spaces)

    Remember:
    • Do not use a spoiler in the title.
    • Feel free to say "Spoiler" or "Possible Spoiler" in the title if you wish to do so.
    • If you're linking to potentially spoiler content off the official forums, please be sure you note that there is a spoiler in that content, or put the link behind a spoiler tag.

    Thanks!

Or the quicker alternative of highlighting spoiler text and clicking the 'Format' button above the comment box and clicking "Spoiler" to automatically apply the spoiler tag code to the selected text.

    Thank you, added!
