    Currently, boons are shared giving both the caster and the recipients the same boon duration. If you grant yourself 10 seconds regeneration, allies gain 5 seconds. You grant 4 seconds protection allies receive 2 seconds. This should obviously only be implemented in WvW as it would ruin PvE.     Pros:

    -Nerfs boon ball while still allowing for lots of boon generation.

    -Makes counterplea easier and gives more value to corrupts and strips as boons are more valuable.

    -Doesnt affect roamers/users generating boons. Allows them to still feel full impact of their abilities. 

    -Raises skill ceiling of coordinated groups needing instances of stability/other high value boons rather than just vomiting them continuously. 

    -Keeps individual player agency while still being able to generate support for allies but not allowing it to be excessive. 

    -Encourages players to bring their own survivability in the form of utility skills (more value to bring my own stability vs relying on someone else)

    Cons:

    -Support players will feel their impact go down

    -Players would need to adjust

    -Low duration boons would be difficult to share

    -Does not touch mechanics like barrier, auras, stealth

    -idk maybe others.

    This game mode needs diminishing returns on CC for and reduce CCs with removing stability to balance things up. stunlocks should not happen nor access to loads of cc by ONE class.

    Nope, they keep promoting brainless gameplay, blob up use your face side to side on the keyboard and see who wins first on the boonballs. And you will get blocked here reported etc for saying they are doing a terrible job in the game mode and dont give 2 craps about players here. 10 years and they just do not care.

    Heres a tip, assume theres a necro somewhere with GS 5 that will pull you. dodge stealth stability block invuln etc.

    Dude. My opinion is the same since beggining of this thread. I would prefer to solo roam as core and DH but due to everything outperforming these specs myself and most guardians are forced into WB. I like Wb but I like core and dh more.

    Hence my question to you since you have now said that twice. I understand you are also implying other builds might be OP, I get that. You stated yourself in other threads you build toward glass. So is this a glass versus glass issue? Hence why I raise the issue. I appreciate content creators but when its all about takedowns and not other fights, forum posters tend to use those shots as see we need nerfs. That's were I see issues. We all got the 2020 nerf due to too many people not considering their builds and all the glass on glass interactions and we ended up with the great 2020 nerf patch. We can't use glass on glass as balance nor can we use overskilled player versus average players when considering balance. We need apples to apples. I have seen great WBs that will tear players up and I have seen terribad WBs that die in 1 v 5s. If they were dominate though, we would have nothing but them. This is where we disagree. Though personally after these types of posts see more Willies so all the better since it makes killing them all the easier on various builds. 

     

    To simplify, imo WB is low risk high reward on almost any gear build used. Too much out of jail free cards with too much burst potential and tools. Basically has litle counters same as the other OP( imo again) classes/builds. No class should be able to junp into the midle of outnumbered 5+ and able to get a kill or more and still run away. Even if all 5 suck. (IMO again)

    Just because you think you personally can't roam on Core or Dragonhunter or Firebrand doesn't excuse that Willbender needs to be OP, every class has this problem, every class has also had OP specs, and every class has had their OP specs toned down over the years. Willbenders and Harbingers are next in line for a very long time now, it's been almost two years. You can't handle being criticized for playing Willbender, that's your problem, I'm not the only one that thinks they're broken OP. They should have never been given all that mobility with all those defenses and burst potential, period.

    Ok, so please myself and other guardians are waiting on that special builds, if you like you can even see my videos on how OP I am on core and DH at oneshoting (meme builds that do not really work for roam seriously). 

    I d say next 24h should be enough for you to show a proper build for core and dh that does not have a video showing beatting people that are terrible and barely move.

Willie is the the thief counter build that people have asked for. I disagree they are the be all end all on fast movers though and are death on wheels. I also disagree they dominate roaming. But if you want to build their ego please do since it will mean more to find while roaming on various builds.

    Dude you are misreading or misunderstanding, read the whole debate from beggining, I think WB is op yes as everyone but it is OP the same as the other classes also have specs that outperform to the point of near broken, so, ALL of them need nerfing hard.

    and this person is complaining more about wb so I was asking, what else do we guardians play as efectively as wb and all the other op broken things or if he just wants guardian players to be reduced to depending on everyone else to hit and run or survive.

    You did not reply to what I asked, 

    Dont reply and wine about WB and how OP it is again, EVERYONE knows this, just tell me and other guardians the magical build spec/gear for DH or Core that works to be AS effective for solo/roaming in WvW as either core guard or DH with the disengage and survival potential ALMOST on pair with the likes of thiefs mesmers rangers warrior mechanics etc etc??

    As for the usual builds people are having trouble with, which is Sword/Sword + Greatsword, in most cases the only port utility they are running will be Judge's Intervention, and the others are gonna be Whirling Light for Damage and Contemplation of Purity for massive cleanse/breakstun. Elite will be Renewed Focus so that they can reset the virtues.

    Now imagining an scenario where you are not just getting jumped out of nowhere and you are actually fighting the willy, this to watch out for so people understand better what they are fighting:

    • Judge Intervention into Advancing Strike: People need to recognize if they got immobed and cleanse fast so they can dodge the rest of the combo that comes after. people usually follows up with something like Executioner's Calling and a weapon swap to proc Hydro Sigil then do something like Greatsword 2 or  Whirling Light. Executioner's Calling needs to hit the first time to hit the second time (the real damage) and Hydro proc won't hit you on a dodge frame. So, against like 80% of willys that are just button smashers a cleanse + a dodge at the start of the fight will pretty much negate all their initial burst.
    • The only Stab that most willys get is the traited Courage from Virtues trait line and is only 3 stacks and last 4s with no boon duration. This means that most of the time the willy is very weak against CC. Also, Courage becomes a stun break if traited, so if you can manage to make them use it for a stun break, you have a huge advantage.
    • If the willy is running Reversal of Fortune (2 charges, negate next attack and heal double if attacked during channel) then watch for the buff they get on and try to not attack them. The base heal is like 2k health, if hit is 4k.
    • If the willy is running Litany of Wrath (dmg transformed to heal) watch for that buff too and try to manage accordingly.
    • Most willys want to fight in melee. That usually means that dropping stuff at your feet will help a lot in dealing with them.
    • If they are running heavy damage, that also means they are running way less blocks. 
    • Learn to deal with Blind, it will come from F1, Sword 2 and GS 3. A lot of people just use big CDs when they have blind and miss an opportunity, usually just spamming an extra auto attack will get rid of that for you.
    • If you are roaming, you usually should bring (and every class has) stuff that would help you in any kind of fight. You always want to have more stun breaks, some form of condi clear, and access to protection. Energy sigil for an extra dodge is a must at this point in the game for a lot of classes.
    • Willy is very melee, try to keep some distance and adapt your builds if you are having too much trouble with it. A lot of complains I get come on the form of "Why can't I kill this guy on the build I'm running?" In WvW if you see that you are fighting the same guy many times and losing, you should adapt a bit.

    Now, for the actual things that need balance in my opinion:

    • Crashing Courage should do no damage if traited with Indomitable Courage. With that trait the skill is way too powerful (high damage, shadow step, break stun, stab, and the extra effect from the active)
    • Righteous Instincts: This is not too bad on power willys, but if you start adding boon duration, people can easly keep 10+ stacks of might. (cele bros)
    • Absolute Resolve: this trait when playing willy makes the skill too overloaded. Flowing resolve then can cleanse 5 condis in 1 button (2 from trait + immob, chill, and cripple from the virtue). I feel like if running the trait with willy, Resolve should have only 1 charge.
    • Advancing Strike should not have a slow.
    • Power Scaling for F1 (Rushing Justice) should be brought down a little.
    • Hydro Sigil is kinda busted. For me, is an average 4-5k AoE proc every time and that is not even with full might.

    As a general note, the problem with balancing Willy specifically is that Radiance and Virtues traitlines just make the low cooldown virtues be too overloaded, but is difficult to balance those traits withouth killing them for other elite specs. 

    Also, one of the main problems with the game in general is overload. Too many things traited or not can do too much stuff with the press of 1 button. Every time that some trait adds something to a skill it should also make it lose something. It should change how it works, more than just adding stuff to it.

    I'm prolly missing a lot of stuff, but I think the actual "willy problem" is 2 parts: a lot of people don't know how to approach the fight against them, and there is a couple of skills that do too much.

     

    heres the thing, if these nerfs happen then thiefs all other classes with same level of skill required for same result need nerfing too. if no willbender what guardians have to successfully roam smallscale and not be shutdown?? I try with core and DH as dps option and its just a matte rof time till cooldowns kill me.

    Funniest post ever, thief the king of smallscalle roaming 1vs1 since launch. Same level of skill players against one another and the one playing thief will have the upper hand always, against some classes more than others but overall all thiefs specs/profession is near equal in success while guardian has only wb for roaming /smallscale  successfully since launch. DH was ok when launched but then the cries of thiefs made the nerf hammer rain down on them untill unseen in wvw almost completly for years.

    • Relic of the Herald: This relic now also grants its bonus when applying boons to yourself. Increased the concentration per stack from 15 to 25. This relic no longer has an internal cooldown.

    • Null Field: Increased the cooldown from 35 seconds to 45 seconds in WvW only.
    • Phantasmal Disenchanter: Reduced the number of boons removed from 2 to 1 in WvW only.

    Oh hey Anet, save everyone some time, Just remove boon strips entirely next patch thanks. 🤷‍♂️

    They do need to nerf the dps / survival oriented mesmer elites all together tho, that class abuses in every single way smallscale and roaming and solo, its beyond broken.
