after many attempts i managed to complete the mission, my latest attempt to 'fix' it was to turn my firewall off and the mission completed without any issues, whether that was the solution i dont know.

I'm into double figures now in my attemps at this mission, every time at the end cut scene i end up with a DC and looking at character select, had this issue with several missions before but nothing like this, tried everything i can think off, clean boot, cleared cache, min and max graphic settings nothing seems to work to say its frustrating is an understament.

had some success with closing the game completely and clearing the cache ( type %LocalAppData%/temp into file explorer and delete the folder named “gw2cache-{bunch-of-letters-and-numbers}” before doing any of the missions that are problematic

at my 11th attempt of 'Arcana Obscura' i managed to get through, my latest 'tricks' whether that had anything to do to help me or not i dont know was to turn all graphic settings down to lowest they could go, closing GW2 and deleting the cache that you can find by typing %LocalAppData%/temp in file explorer and deleting the folder gw2cache-{bunch-of-letters-and-numbers}. i was able to get past the next 2 episodes just fine even the monstorous cut scene at the end of 'hidden cave'

having the same issues with the same message at the end of 'Arcana Obscura' as soon as you deliver the last crystal it goes straight to a cut scene and disconnects me, i've tried spamming skills, doing nothing , different pc (though same internet connection) wireless and wired, 9 attemps so far and dc at the same point on every single one of them, to say its getting frustrating is an understatement.

my experiences so far, me and a friend have both been having issues with storyline disconnects, both in HoT and Pof and also living world episodes in 2 and 3 but and heres the big BUT ever since i got past 'The Departing' (posted in another thread herehttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/14053/story-disconnect-at-the-end-of-the-departing#latest) i and my friend have not had 1 disconnect, how,we both press skill 1 constantly, throughout all the dialouges and all the cut scenes and so far not 1 disconnect since, maybe its a coincidence maybe not.

My router is a Virgin Media super Hub 2ac which i believe is a Netgear product inside, something i should point out, i had a 'theory' in my head of sorts that i was getting kicked at dialogues was that i was 'idle' ie doing nothing, so in the mission when i actually completed i was continuously using skills and moving around throughout, its probably a coincidence i managed to get through but who knows, so far i have had no more dc's and i just reached the final mission, not sure when i will complete though.

I too have been having problems too with this mission getting dc'd in exactly the same place as you, i downloaded the microsoft analyzer as mentioned in another thread and managed to create somesort of network log , the exact time i believe i disconnected is at line 76617 in this image https://imgur.com/a/1kZ8ez2 the whole file can be downloaded here https://ufile.io/yj98v I should point out my next attempt at the mission i managed to finish it.

Me and a friend are playing through the living world episodes/PoF story (finished now thankfully) and HoT story and its been nothing but disconnects at cut scenes/NPC talking parts, as either me or my friend gets a dc, usually but not always the instance owner, just today we had to do the HoT story episode ' City of Hope' 3 times as i got dc at the final part while the NPC talked, for a change i got an error message "https://imgur.com/a/zKxuAGK", when my friend started we went through ok with no problems, playing normally is usually fine.
