Oh, the chore of making races with added features then hardly ever making armor that fits them- but they have once in a blue moon, armor that allows the horns/ ears to come through.

It's called laziness and quick money grabbing.

  2. I know I'm not the only one who dislikes the blatant ignoring of asuran ears or charr ears/ horns.
No, I don't have to buy outfits from the gemstore but it's something I like to do when they're done well. But the continuous ignoring of s playable Races physical features such as ears or horns just tells me to stop buying from the gemstore, because buying it would mean supporting that constant type of design.

The new outfit looks really nice, if you're a norn or human.znxE0SH.jpg

  3. I for one am not opposed to races or classes having their own armor set. It helps with some individuality and design. Take Charr for example and Norn; Alot of the armors are over stretched and ignore Charr features- for Norn, stiff and overstretched armors as well.
You want to know what's not stiff or overstretched? Cultural Armors. Almost all of the Racial based armors look amazing because it was designed specifically for them! The only exception being the Charr Tier 3 Cultural light armor, the robe still clips through the charr tail.I've always wanted more cultural based armor or outfits, much like the wedding outfit and how it looks different on each race.Tier 4 cultural armors would give players a larger pool to play with when it comes to unique and not-as-many shared designs. Do I seem bothered by having a mesmer wear the exact same armor my necromancer is? Kind of. I would love more profession based armors as well, but in due time.

Tell me why you would or would not want a Tier 4 cultural armor.

  4. Biggest Selling point - PvP and WvW are in a place where such as long as PvE'rs don't care about it, it will never see anything good or relevant as far as changes go.
PvP would need a complete balance overhaul.WvW would need a separate instance that allows GvG and people can spectate etc. There needs to be complete reworks as far as balances in WvW go as well. Several members in the GW2 anet team needs to devote their entire work schedule on actually playing more than 30 mins/ hour of PvP or WvW to really understand what could add good changes to competitive game modes.
Or get, you know, actual players who do only that and listen to their opinions to really understand what these need.

Another selling point would be more immersion when it comes to PvE. There really isn't any imo compared to other MMO's I have played. Unless you consider doing tasks and running from a mob that isn't meant to be solo'd immersion. When GW2 1st released I remember that new feeling but I was also caught in a whirlwind of immersion. It was like I felt what was going on around my apprentice elementalist. Now, everyone looks like they're on their way to a comicon- there is no identity to GW2 anymore and I don't feel immersion is possible at this point.

3rd: More character customization. The ability to change length or type of hair. In the beginning of GW2, you could change hair length but it was taken away oddly. Better looking array of mustaches and beards. Long hair for males. More hairstyles. More aesthetics for characters like tattoos/ scars/ lipstick and eyeshadow color alteration.

4th: Fix Charr and Norn armor stretching. Not having this fixed at this point is a sign of not caring.

  5. Just to clarify, the character you play- does he or she have a backstory and if so, what is it?

Mine is a high society Elementalist who studied with the priory in Divinity's Reach. She has a welsh accent. Her name is Sorceress Rinoa (I love FFVIII) but I actually call her Eleanor since Rinoa/ is derived from Eleanor and both mean light. She's not over-exceptional or the hero of her story.Growing up with a silver-spoon only spoiled her with certain amenities but not cloud her judge of character. When she first began her journey, Eleanor and some of her closest companions worked as guides to other champions in the depths of Arah.Eleanor is of course, an overly skilled elementalist thanks to years of brawling the elite ranks in PvP arenas. She has since retired from the PvP scene and often spends time with her Mesmer Cousin, drinking wine and attending masquerades.

I could go into more detail, but it was just a brief example.

Yeah, idk what's going on i was trying to edit my post and it made me quote my own?????

  7. Devil is in the title

I understand the new skins help fund newer content that takes less than an hour to get through, then another 6 months will go by and rinse repeat but New Hairstyles (Even old recycled GW1 hairstyles) would be amazing and show the community that anet is listening.

I browse forums more often than not, and I always see atleast 1 or 2 posts every other day about adding this or that to character customization, like new body types (which adding new models to me sounds hard as crap to program) Or new ear types for Asura, New tattoos for Norn, new this for that and so on.The last update towards character customization was several eye/ hair colors or accessory colors that gave us another shade of a moon blue that we clearly needed. /sarcasm.We get more accessory color updates of 5 different tints/ shades of green or orange than we do real changes, POSITIVE changes to the entirety of character customization.

I appreciate the mount skins, most of them are amazing, especially the recent ones but it's not where I want to spend money on content. Yes, adding new mount skins or chair skins or glider/ another outfit has been the only real content that we've gotten in the last few months. It's a rinse repeat cycle that I've found myself getting on GW2 less and less for.

No, I don't have to buy it and I don't- I log on to see what's new and what has changed/ what has bettered gw2 to make me keep coming back.
Most of all I want better content for WvW 1st, then PvP then PvE
Since I know that is never going to happen, the one thing I know is doable or thought was doable was asking for New character Cosmetics, or new updates to our Total Makeover kits. That's feasible right? It doesn't seem to be, since we got another gaudy chair skin, which I only ever see a handful of people use (RPers or other) and a pretty well detailed crystal meteor glider thingy.I always think to myself when this kind of content releases "Wow, these look nice but the resources could have went to New faces/hairstyles/horns/tattoos/ improved character editing etc for our characters."

It's just my thoughtsTell me what you think, would like to see in regards to Character/ Total Makeover kit updates.

TL;;DR I prefer new hairstyles/ faces/ ears/ horns/ tattoos over another chair skin or glider.

  8. Content that can't be completed in a day;New RacesBetter customization for charactersBetter story, something more engaging because I just skip everything due to the boredom of the storyMore challenging content that isn't all group basedHousingMarriageMore Emotes & Dances that you don't have to BUYWyvern mount??Actual Guild Wars- Like signing up to participate in GvG that is a big event and players can wear capes in support of their guilds they are rooting forNew Class that isn't OP for several months then nerfed to the groundDungeons, New engaging and rewarding Dungeons with new armor stats and good-looking skins

Improvements to WvW and PvP. Actual improvements and not just band-aids

Anet, give us Actual additions that make MMO's fun and engaging

I remember those posts, but I guess it's the same for Charr as well since their horns and ears are a technical issue and ignored/ covered up with outfits. It doesn't have to be every backitem. Just some, as there probably would be bugs/ all sorts of issues trying to add dye channels to every single back item.

Well, Just a flesh wound basically did what I couldn't bother to do when I posted. ;)

But as you can see from that response, "some back items" isn't possible, since all back items are recognized as the same kind of item (which seems entirely logical to me and is what I would've guessed, even as a complete development noob). So it's either all or nothing, and the result would be nothing. It's like trying to put a new foundation underneath a house and expect the house to remain standing and intact. That's just not going to work.

No, I understand.I've even mentioned before that the backitems that come with gliders, like the matching ones not have 2 separate dye channels but whatever color you change the glider, immediately changes the backpiece in correspondence as long as its equipped or something.Instead of it being something like "i want to dye my backpiece separate from my glider which are the same design" it instead is if you have the butterfly wings equipped as a backpack AND glider, changing the glider color will change the backpackDying the glider changes the same backpiece type thingJust wishful thinkingIf it's something that cannot be put, then gliders should not be dye-able that correspond to the backitem.

  11. Is it me or should it be about time that the winged backbacks we get match the glider skin versions? As in You can dye the Glider, just not the backitem.I'm okay with not every backitem being dyeable, that's all find and good but when something that looks as good as the Dragon Wings not being dyeable except for the glider version, No more of that Anet.Give both certain winged backitems the Dye Channels. It's about time.

  12. Hello!
There are items players have asked for in abundance before and Anet designers have delivered but sadly, we never saw another item of that type again in either a different kind of design or the designers went back to the same-old boring item that we have seen many times before, it's just this new item has a new dye channel. Not a big woo-hoo there.

    1. Hoods/ Hats/ Outfits that make characters bald. Stop. Doing. This. Anet. There is literally no reason this should be ignored. Give us placebo hairstyles atleast, much like the Inquisitor Hat with the updo! Example Here

    2. Helmets/ Armors that expose the neck Area. Hey Guys! You like my new helmet? It's not really for protection since my entire neck is exposed. Simple fix, add an armored collar/ fur/ literally anything else. Example Here

    3. Goggles. The goggles we do have side on our characters face, great! Now, can we get some that sit atop out characters heads? Without removing our hairstyles? Example Here

    4. Butterly Wings with an Actual Dye Channel. Not much more can be said except let us have a backpack with dyeable channels! Not Gliders. Actual Backpacks. Example Here

    5. Bumble Bee/ Other Insect Wings. We have a scarab glider and backset so close Anet, but no cigar. Give us actual insect wings. No other reason behind this or method. Heck, we have giant angel wings just because other MMO's have it too. Example Here

    6. Noble Human Attire as an outfit. No, this is not a thing yet and it should be. Why there hasn't been enough light on this recently is either people gave up on asking or forgot. Well,I'm here to remind everyone that forums used to be flooded asking for this NPC Item. Example Here

    7. STOP ignoring Charr Horns & Ears and Stop ignoring Asuran Ears. Why do players have to ask for this? We shouldn't have to. If an outfit is only going to cater to humans, atleast start putting a disclaimer (Equipping item will remove all horns/ Long Ears) Or instead, start actually creating armor and outfit sets that don't ignore an actual character design. Sad Example Here

    8. Melandru Outfit. We've gotten Dwayna, Grenth, Lyssa & Balthazar already, so it's about time to see the best 'Goddess' make her debut within our gem store. Example Here

    9. Long, Nice looking Hairstyles for all humanoid Races. Hairstyles with Ribbons , Just Long, Beautiful Tresses. (Elegant ones with bangs)

    10. No More Anime Hairstyles for Charr. Give the, actual tribal/ more Charr-like hairstyles. It's a little sad this has even become a thing. It makes charr seem like the butt of a GW2 joke that shouldn't exist. Give Charr hairstyles feathers, bones, braids, twisted dreads. I compare Charr Manes to Horse Manes and longer Dog Fur. Example Here

    11. Epic/ Good-looking facial hair. No silly mustaches or sad stubble. Sample Here

    12. Last but not least- FLOWER CROWNS! Example Here

    13. Player Housing. I shouldn't have to list reasons

  13. The problem with elementalist is it has no relevant boons or sustainable DPS in staff (anymore) scepter is okay, and Tempest Warhorn is still sad and needs a complete rework. To compete against a firebrand, a boon mesmer or anything than can give more than 5 boons and share them ele would have to be given better support.Elementalist Elites aren't anything to be excited about. The weaver elite is alright, better than Tornado by a long shot. Better than The aura mancer elite by alot more but it's a tossup between FGS and the weaver elite. I say this because the weaver elite is only decent with the slight buffs you get based on your attunements you swap to. FGS is a great escape with terrible DPS. All elementalist conjure weapons are terrible for the record.

Ele needs relevant boons. Quickness from Air, Alacrity from traiting Arcane, Resistance from Earth and better stability. In ALL gamemodes.

Another thing about ele is where is it supposed to stand against support classes? Where is it supposed to stand against DPS classes? Where is it supposed to stand in WvW? PvP? PvE? Raids?I want an honest answer to find out why it's a jack of all trades and mediocre at best. Sure, the sword dps is pretty nice but only in.....RAIDS! (And PvE when you are babysat.)Ele is superb atm for clearing some siege in WvW. That's it. 25 stacks of might and I can down a pug in low gear with Meteor Sprinkle.

PvP, I can 1v1 most other classes and win but it's a struggle to get the boons I want and on the right attunements because I can't even enjoy myself since I'm trying not to die. You have to play Weaver to even be effective for your team if you are at all.

Tempest support can seem invulnerable if you aren't DPS spec. A simple stun will easily take them down because they do not, I repeat, do not have the sustain a firebrand has or the support a chronomancer has. Tempest is like the WoW Shaman, it has beautiful animations and the AoE's seem like a bonus but it's so lacking. The warhorn is good if you are fighting an enemy that is standing still. It has no escape, it has no invul, it has no real utility other than to give boons that still are lacking.

Staff in all gamemodes. - In PvP: if you are bringing this weapon into PvP at the current state, you are a troll and purposely throwing the game (even if you did not know that the dps on this weapon is lacking) You would think staff should bring the hurt, and it should. Ice Spike should be instant cast, not a 3 second cast then a slow drop.Meteor Shower should be instant cast and last longer, hit more than 5 targets and cause burning. (if you decide to never touch the dps on it again)If the dmg is increased, then leave it at 5 per target but still should be quicker cast and length of MS should stay the same.Lava Font- the damage should stack quicker and it needs a damage buff. The only use for it atm is to tag something because that's about all it can do.Earth is fine,Air - Lightning Surge, takes too long to cast. Speed it up. It should also qualify for a lightning strike on lightning rod. (I cant remember if it does or doesnt)

Ele needs relevant boons, quicker animation cast times, allowed build diversity, warhorn needs a rework, and staff needs quicker cast times and a slight dmg buff to ice spike, meteor sprinkle., churning earth and Lightning Surge.

  14. I changed my english voices to German. The voice actors are way better.

The human female voice sounds like a basic white female, it's boring. Why can't they have an accent? The voice actors here didn't care about the quality or it seems that way (sorry, nolan north).

Norn voices- They sound like a voice actor who didn't get paid enough and wouldn't come back to fix everything wrong with the norn voice. Which, everything is awful about their voice. Why couldn't they have Welsh/ German/ Swedish/ Norwegian accents? When my norn gets attacked I used to cringe when she'd wail and moan. Really? Who thought that sounded okay? Thanks german voice actors who made it sound 100000x better!

    Asura- they're okay. Just plain.

Sylvari - Atleast they have an accent and the actors sound like they care about the quality they sound

Charr- I'd like more growly/ grumbly voices

  15. @"lokh.2695" said:I would love to have a "Boy-/Girlscout" title for reaching the daily/monthly AP cap.An upgrade to the fashion collector achi would be nice, adding the titles "Fashion Addict" and "Fashion Victim".Some Racial titles like "Warden of the Grove" or "Skald of Hoelbrak" would be neat.Along with the racial titles, it would be nice i we had the titles that are given to us in the story("Hero of Shaemor", "Savant Prize Winner", order titles etc.) as titles we can display.

    This 10000000xYes, I would kill for more Racial Titles/ Armors/ Anything that is strictly Sylvari/ Norn/ Asura/ Charr/ Human
