i suspect the dragons got put aside because it was too liner the whole story was a long narrative that you need to play all part to get fully look at how confused players get because they cant play Season 1
now they can move to stories that more disconnected that anyone at any time can jump in and understand
As an aside i like the feeling if no incoming doom we have at the moment my character went home to the Applied Development Lab and put on her town clothes for the first time in forever petted her cats and will sit there until the next content dump (gives me time to try another profession)

Alot of this i will write off as the expansion being a product of the pandemic Anet as a team seem to get the best ideas by bouncing stuff off each other
what i cant ignore is the utterly unlikeable characters the only real exception was Detective Rama and his impressive hat the rest of them were extremely flat or otherwise just nausea inducing (Joon for example made me nostalgic for the skip button)

they will probably pull elder scrolls oblivion with the lore in that games story the lore states that after the game is over the hero of kvach becomes the new Shaeogorath
the commanders ultimate fate will likely be just before they die of old age Aurine not wanting to loose her beloved champion to the inevitabilities of mortality will give them the full power of a dragon champion than the eventually both go for one of those long 10,000 year sleeps. than can fade into legend than legend into myth

Being honest i don't mind Marjory and Kasmeer. Joon, on the other hand needs a Screwdriver issued into her skull Most. unlikable. character. Ever.
Asks for a dragon expert gets more than one dragon expert. Than when those experts tell he that her plan wont work she throws a massive temper tantum and tries to kill you than Does not even say she is sorry. And to make matters worse were given no option but to forgive her. I kept hoping in the final assault she would be Impailed by a void Vinetooth I hope we never see her Smug Arrogant face ever again

some of the choices Anet made with leveling now feel off best example is no utility skills until your level 20 map that on the engineer that is basically reliant upon it's kits to do any sort of damage and the experience is beyond frustrating and rember unlocking your weapon skills threw combat? that was a great mechanic you could unlock your main hand weapon skills verry quickly now we don't get a full set of weapon skills until level 10. these days to start a new character I tome up to level 30 just to avoid the frigging slow skill bar unlocking kitten

the hardees thing is rather dependent on what part of the US your in In my area all but of them that were around closed in the late 00's and either host new restaurants or Cellphone shops and the o one i mentioned is still around just feels Strange and off putting when you walk in there because the traffic is almost non existent it feels like your standing in one of those Liminal space pictures. Having traveled to the east coast on business they are all over there but here in Wisconsin its as i describe the chain.
As far as G fuel i don't think that's a good partner looking at that stuff's ingredients it looks like Powdered heart attack mix

Issue is the classes have to make seance for all of the player races and you dont have to go further than the old lore blurbs to see wht that wont work

the one thing that i was sad not to see was the Return of the Luxon Turtle man heavy armor (and they made the asset for the spear of Archimorus animation) and The Kurzic "Batman" Heavy armor

i think the best part of the story is seeing Mai-trin finally bite it inspite of the story trying to bludgeon with the fact that we had to forgive the mass murdering scum i for one am glad to see that Bookah trash gone

Buy it for the Useful things it adds to the game. some of the maps are also pretty Fishing is fun with friends.
For the story or if you expecting fun story encounters your better off flushing your money down the Toilet. some of the NPCs Like Totally use Valley speak
My interest left as soon as they pulled that "go do hearts or Dynamic Events" Bull kitten that killed IBS for me I like to do Hearts on my own time. i don't want to be side tract by the story to go grind on an objective for a while.
Biggest sin of all is just like HoT just before the Final fight your thrown into a Meta only map and have place some items as well as kill a few bad guys before you can start. The sad part is Unlike the HoTs DS this maps is Pretty is located in a place that was a Key Mission of Guild Wars Factions and is worthy of exploring properly.
As a Fan of this location in GW1 I want to explore this map but seance its a meta only map if you go in just to enjoy the map your taking a slot that could be used by someone who wants to do the meta so it feels like i cant enjoy the map and not be an evil selfish jerk. also some of the spots that were key Luxon towns in GW1 are gated off and only open during the meta its a total Kick in the face to factions fans. Than again GW2 has a tendency to kick its classic fans in the teeth lately.

An Asura should never be impressed by or at least admit to being impressed by Human creations. New Kaineng is nice but it is no Rata-Sum and the Commander if they are Asura should be fast to point that out. but this is not the only time in the story that Liberties with the lore around the races.
This Games most loyal fan base are the people who came here from The Original Guild Wars And We love Tyria and the lore around it we also love the Established lore of the races we picked for our Characters. I would Think and hope that the Writers share that same love.
The short Let our Charr, Asura , Norn and Silvari be what they are. And respect it more than a little flavor text on a boat

that does touch on something i wonder if the Living world will ever touch on now with Primortus and destroyers out of the picture all of those old Ratas are safe to go back to it would be fun to Explore some of those perhaps have to contend with a Massive infestation of rats while doing so

If you go by the big Jade statue in KC thre is a Priory person that mentions that the Quaggen and Krait were driven out by something bad that only surfaced after bubbles left for Cantha. so we have a set up for a big bad Cthulhu like monster in the depths still that is now completely unknown to us . Which is brilliant we after all know enough about elder dragons that they are not that spooky any more but something scary that was being held back by a elder dragon that is the type of thing we need

Bad guys tend to Overestimate there capabilities not to mention they did not know who or what the commander is. and of course they payed with a Boot to the head.

True but the characters would be using curses that make sense for there race not to mention hearing how a Char, Silvari Asura, or Norn use a colorful metaphor would have been a fun bit of insite into Our Characters cultures

mine hits like a truck! without any boons greatsword is slow but, you can speed it up by spamming Scavenger burst in a fight which gives you 4 seconds of quickness on a skill with a 3 second recharge while at the same time hitting for 1,996 and giving you more damage threw might stacks

i have an asura vindi the healing skill on the Kurzic stance healing skill uses the guardian staff "pole dance" animation it looks funny on a floating great sword

One could assume that Sylvari's knowledge of Ventari being a Centaur and Sylvari seeing Modniir Centaurs has caused those experiences to mix within the dream.
i am go out on a limb as say it was just A-Net saving some manpower by reusing assets. and should not be read into as part of the story

That was few an far between the rest of it was a total mess and the worst part is the lore stated that it was refugees from the Jade wind. Which happend 199 years prior to the events of Factions
