  1. SotO has brought an entire new level of power creep to the game. The new builds that are coming out are so awesome like scourge and herald. The issue is going back to older content just feels brain dead now. I do like that the game may be easier for some trying to get into the game however, there is no new stuff to be challenged by, especially with the new builds. If feel like Anet should really lean into challenge motes more and revisit earlier raid content and maybe update some of the trivial fractals. I want to be challenged by something other than HT CM. I want the power creep to come with some sort of area for the game difficulty to get its own version of power crept.
  2. Feedback! Shortbow! There's a trait in the renegade line that buffs shortbow and makes it cleave. This has to be baseline for shortbow to work. Trash! Greatsword. Absolutely sick! Probably one of the few winners that I've tested. Power alac renegade, massive win. Power Herald, massive win. Power quickness herald. You guys changed the quickness application. Greatsword is very energy hungry and so is quickness application. This is honestly quite interesting. You are locked into what decision you've for the duration of your legend swap. The decision that you've made is applying quickness and sacrificed your awesome greatsword cooldowns to do it. Didn't feel to great. Shield? Meh. NEXT!
  3. Honestly the beta and the the last balance patch we extremely badly timed. I cannot give good feedback for the scourge portion because of the insane nerfs to the class. Pistol / torch would be an awesome combo if the shade changes were reverted but yea. Condi reaper really got me excited when i realized i could use both pistol AND torch. BUT, condi reaper is massively bleed based, oh no! The grandmaster makes it so bleeds out weigh all your other condi's so taking other damaging condi's doesn't really make the build perform better or worse. That and Reaper doesnt have any condi duration buffs in the trait line to help out the other damaging condi's. It gives it a differant flavor but it doesn't really make sence to take torment poison or burning in this build. I'd suggest changing up that grandmaster trait to be more condi general and then it might be a little more exciting. Greatsword. I mean come on. This is a meme if you think a scourge player or a harbinger player is going to use greatsword without some significant changes to the traits of these Condi oriented elite specs. There is a power line harbinger so there could be potential there but not right now. Greatsword is out.
  4. The Mesmer weapons aren't really that interesting enough to use on the other specs. Some examples: The shield is a more of a tank, heal, support weapon. On chrono, makes a lot of sense. It fits nicely in its place as a chrono weapon. Chrono is a really good tank and shield really supports that. Mirage and Virt are both damage classes with no heal support so that's out. Axe is a condi weapon. On Virt it doesn't make sense because condi Virt is based off of crit chance where you crit to apply bleeds You can really go all in bleeds and that makes a really good build. Axe may have some use here but its just not interesting enough. Chrono is probably the most interesting spot where axe might see play with axe but chrono in my opinion is more of a heal support class that does that role really badly. Chrono bit of a meme at this point. Would love to see some buffs to heal support chrono by the way. Dagger is pretty decent. However, its not really all that game changing. The range is nice but im not excited to use the ambush skill on mirage and chrono, oh chrono. Weapons mastery is a change indeed and it opens up more options to the players but its just weird. Cool on paper, but just kind of weird and not really all that exciting in game. This is Mesmer specific.
  5. Untamed: Staff on untamed would make for a really sweet heal quickness build. Untamed as a concept is really interesting however as a heal support untamed is extremely selfish. I would love to see some less selfish options for this build because it really does feel awesome with the staff ambush skill. However as it is right now it probably is pretty decent, its just the staff is bugged and doesn't apply quickness. BUG: Staff does not apply quickness when you use its unleashed skill. Hammer: An idea that could be interesting; using the hammer skills would cause that singular skill to flip over to the unleashed hammer skill.
