  1. This is great advise for the longest time I thought power was the best way to play but recently I gave condition a try and for me I enjoy it much more for most of the reasons stated above.. Also there is a website called metabattle you can look over best load outs for the type of content you want to do for every class there. give you a good place to start to help wrap your head around things.
  2. So what’s your suggestion for the latter. By best I meant equally as good at range as they are in melee I guess. I just don’t want to be stuck in one or the other. Especially melee I hate when there is 100 people fighting a big bad and you can’t see if your even attacking through all the people on the bosses feet. post Is meant for silly discussion 😃 everyone knows there is no best at everything and mostly down to taste especially at the level I’m speaking of just really like condition ranger and wanted to see what else is similar play style
  3. Thanks for the suggestion I’ll definitely look more into those two. I also like they are both on the less played side.
  4. Let me start off by saying this is coming from someone still trying to finish the icebrood story and mainly doing open world events and pvp very little but I do enjoy it. So very casual. I have a blast playing condition soulbeast (core ranger not so much).I love in events I can stand back where I can still see my character and not be in the melee blob but when I’m solo I can blow stuff up in melee as well. I also love when things get rough I have a tank in my pocket. Nothing I really don’t like about the class other than the pet pathing issues which soulbeast mostly takes care of. But Sometimes I get the itch to try something else but nothing never lives up especially at lower levels when it’s hard to get the feel for the class and all the specializations will be like so they always get deleted. I do have a level 80 warrior also (my only other character and he has become storage mule) and although he is fun I fell like you have to be in melee all the time to get the most out of him. Thief interest me seems like they have strong melee and some range fighting but I’m not sure what they bring to the table I already can’t do with soul beast besides a little more stealth? Seems like they serve much of the same role in pvp and pve without the back up tank pet or option to heal like Druid. I know necro is strong popular choice they just a little to dark for my personal taste. Maybe dragon hunter would be good at both melee and ranged I really don’t know much about them. Elementlist seems fun but a more complicated profession than ranger from the few levels I have played it and very squishy. Just looking for ideas from ranger mains what else they like to play that’s similar. Maybe I just found my class and I need to be content 😀 Hope your day is well thanks for the replies.
  5. I been playing since around 2015 granted I only play for a month or two each year before I get bored and put the game down so I probably only have 6-8 months playing total but I look forward to the day I can say I have millions of karma to dump. I must not be doing something right because I only have about 400k although I did buy a few culture weapons. Everything I do awards small amounts like couple hundred at a time if I’m lucky….. gonna be awhile I guess…..
  6. I’m just figuring out this whole portal scroll thing so I’m glad this topic is here. Why are the Tomes so expensive? I think the ones I seen cost 175k karma. That may not be a lot but it’s about 1/2 of what I have on my account so I’m thinking it is. Also what’s the benefit to them when you can just start the story/chapter of the zone you want to be in then abandon it and you’re there no? Kind of just seem like another item to take up inventory space to sell slots or Am I missing something?
  7. Good point I didn’t think I about the problem of getting in between the areas. Just thought maybe I could pick the first episode to get to the first zone and then just explore and do open world without being dragged around by the nose with the story content. I enjoyed POF and season4 story better then some of the older seasons but still not well enough I want to replay it 😞
  8. I have played through POF and season 4 story and started working on both of the flying mounts. My question is now that the achievement is unlocked can I play another character through those zones without that character having completed the story and work on the unlocks/collections for them? Thanks
