Still an issue and blocking progress. Tried every option, having druid stone and orchids in inventory. There does not seem to be this 5 second window, goes straight to fight/leave options.

Did you commune with the HERO POINT place of power with the "Oiled Ancient Staff Head" in your "normal" inventory? It probably doesn't work if the item is in a shared slot, and obviously doesn't work if it is in your bank. But most of all it does not work at Mastery insights, only Hero Point "places of power". Thanks a lot. I was just trying the masteries, never occurred to me that is was Hero Point Communes as there as so few of them. Job done

I am still having this issue too. Double checked the item, made sure i have the achievements unlocked (both yggdrassil and machined staff) and at 2 different commune masteries
